Everyday Romance: Talking 'bout Trust
I often use extreme situations in my stories to force a trust relationship between my hero and heroine. Obviously that's not practical or something that happens in real life very often. A lot of comments from previous posts seem to indicate that trust is a very hard thing for most of us to give, and easy for us to lose as well.
This made me wonder – in the absence of those extreme circumstances, what makes us trust someone? And on the flip side, what's the quickest way someone can lose our ...

Weekly News & Goals 8/23/10
Is it really the last week of August (well, minus 2 days)? Crazy how the summer flew right by...
If you didn't see yesterday's newsletter, you can check it out here. There's information on the Tempest updates there, as well as a lengthy excerpt from Desert Heat, for those interested. Other than that, things are relatively quiet around here, and getting back to normal. I even have another fun Author Interview lined up on Thursday with the fabulous Cari Quinn, whose latest release is Ex...

Claire blinked, her vision blurry in the bright kitchen light. She didn't need to see to know who had discovered her in the pantry though.
"What are you doing here, Mel?" she asked as his face slowly came...

Everyday Romance: Fear & Love
What scares you about love?
I've never been afraid of commitment, though I was afraid I'd pick the wrong guy. Turns out when your guy isn't sure he wants to commit, you have a long time to make sure you've got it right. I went into marriage with absolutely no cold feet whatsoever – I was more afraid of saying vows and kissing in front of people (embarrassing!) than actually being married. I've never once wondered if I made a mistake. I adore my husband to this day.
I do, however, have...

Release Day: Tempest!
I'd like to announce that Tempest is officially available for purchase today! Read the first review here .
I'd like to thank Heidi Sutherlin , who did my absolutely gorgeous covers, and Carol R. Ward for editing my final draft and taking out all my extraneous commas. You two are awesome, and deserve a round of applause!
Thanks also to all of my serial readers – this one's for you. Knowing you're out there reading, waiting for the next chapter of whatever I happen to be drafting keeps m...

Everyday Romance: Talkin' Dirty...or Not.

Confession #2: I am not a dirty talker in the bedroom.
You wouldn't know that by my erotic scenes, where I'm not afraid to describe...well, everything in graphic detail. And sometimes my characters talk dirty to each other as well. In my books, you'll find cock, pussy, and lots of nipple action. Rarely penis or vagina, becaus...
