Weekly News & Goals 9/13/10
It's been awhile since I mentioned it, and I bet you all forgot...but today's the day for revelations. Without much ado, I give you...the cover for Desert Heat!

Super-duper thanks to my fabulous cover artist and good friend, Heidi Sutherlin of Creative Pursuits . You need a cover? New logo for your web site? New graphics? She does all that along with a wealth of other services – so head over and check out her site. Go ahead, I'll wait.
Back? Great. Here's the final blurb for Desert...

Serial Novel: The Biker's Wench, Chapter 2
Ch. 1
The Biker's Wench
Chapter 2
The impact nearly sent Monica flying backwards, her momentum stopped only by two steely hands grasping her upper arms. She cried out as thick fingers dug into her biceps, instinctively struggling to get away. How had Braden gotten ahead of her? Panicked, she lashed out with her feet, kicking at his calves until he pulled her up tight against his chest, locking his arms around her.

Everyday Romance: Stupid Decisions
In romance novels, heroines sometimes make stupid decisions. Choosing the "safe" guy over the one she really wants. Staying when she should go – or going when she should stay. Holding a grudge for too long, or not letting a guy defend himself against an accusation before she goes off the deep end. Allowing stereotypes to ruin (or nearly ruin) a potentially good thing.
We've all made these types of decisions before – it's an inevitable part of being human to lead with the head when we...

Serial Novel: The Biker's Wench, Chapter 1
The Biker's Wench
Chapter 1
Monica gritted her teeth as someone started playing Buffalo Gals for the fifth time on the off-key piano in the corner. She stood with her back to the grand old mahogany bar, elbows propped up on either side and long, full skirts hiding the heel she hooked over the gold railing near the floor. Her feet were killing her, and she wondered for the millionth time how women in the 1800's had managed...

Happy Labor Day!
First off, if you're a young adult reader/writer, head on over to the Amazon discussion forums for an author reading and chat with LK Gardner-Griffie , author of the Misfit McCabe books. She'll be hanging out there all day to chat and I'm sure she'd love it if you stopped in to say hi!
The big news around here this week is, of course, that The Biker's Wench is restarting as the new blog serial this week, and in order to finish by my deadline next spring, I'll be posting t...

Everyday Romance: Surprise!
When was the last time you surprised someone you love? For me, it's been awhile, and I've been pondering what sort of thing I should do for my husband this time "just because". In the past I've hidden love letters and notes for him, gotten us new "toys" to play with, bought new lingerie, taken him out for dinner, brought home something I knew he wanted...all of the usual stuff.
He's changing jobs in the next couple of weeks, and taking some time off between – and our anniversary is this...

Good news - the Tempest paperbacks are out for delivery today! Signed copies will go out tomorrow, and those of you in the states should have them within the week. Out of the country will probably take a little longer, but hopefully you'll have those soon as well. Thanks for your patience – now that I know how long this process takes, I'll definitely have my copies on hand before the next release date.
There are still 19 signed copies available for anyone who'd like one....
Of course my n...

Indelibly Inked
Chapter 34
Adam rolled his head from side to side, pretending to stretch his neck as he looked for anything in his immediate area he could use as a weapon. Dunham was smart. The floor around him was...

Author Interview: Cari Quinn

When did you decide to pursue writing seriously?
About five years ago, when it became obvious it was the only thing I had an aptitude for. Perhaps not the only thing, but certainly the strongest. Storytelling – whether on the page or through music – has been my most enduring...
