Time is Running Out!
Her Perfect Lips, the second book in my Midnight Kiss series, is still on sale on Amazon for $0.49! Get it while you can!
You have to take a risk to live an adventure.
Determined, capable, and primed to rock her first big marketing conference, Stacy Saunders is not about let to anything get in the way of her ambition. It’s been a long time since she’s been in New Orleans, but she has no use for beads or Bourbon Street. She built a strict itinerary for this trip one that certainly didn’t include running into the gorgeous Tennyson Landry again.
A chance reunion between the former lovers brings old feelings to the surface and the possibility of rekindling old flames. Their second time around could be the best time of all if they can bridge the gap even wider than the thousand miles between them

Tennyson pushed himself off the counter and held out his hand to her. Come on, I should get you back to the Quarter.
She took his hand as the peace offering that it was. Ten was Ten. Success had never meant anything to him. He simply enjoyed what came. Do I have a curfew? she asked, teasing him.
I dont want you to be tired for your meetings tomorrow. He gave her that charming smile that never failed to melt her bones. I wouldnt want to be a bad influence.
She couldnt help but laugh. He was always a bad influence. Her very own bad influence. And that was why she liked him so much. He allowed her to be free, wild, in a way she never could be in her real life. She put her hand on his chest, the firm muscle warm and solid beneath her palm. But you havent shown me everything yet. She nodded toward the ceiling. Whats upstairs?
He smiled and tension crackled between them, white-hot and electric. My studio.
Your studio, huh? she asked, slowly tracing the outline of his pec. Flirting was never easy for her, but it came so easily with himas natural and effortless as breathing. Anything else?
His gaze flicked to her lips. My bed.

WRITERS ON WRITING; Easy on the Adverbs, Exclamation Points and Especially Hooptedoodle

If you have a facility for language and imagery and the sound of your voice pleases you, invisibility is not what you are after, and you can skip the rules. Still, you might look them over.
1. Never open a book with weather.
If its only to create atmosphere, and not a characters reaction to the weather, you dont want to go on too long. The reader is apt to leaf ahead looking for people. There are exceptions. If you happen to be Barry Lopez, who has more ways to describe ice and snow than an
