Special Guest Kris Andersson
When I was first asked by a friend and colleague if I might be interested in writing adult fiction I must confess I was rather surprised.
When he then added that gay erotica was a particularly popular genre that always needed fresh titles, I was even more surprised and just a little intrigued at the possibilities for fresh challenges.
Adult fiction wasn't something I had ever thought of writing – in fact, I had never written any sort of fiction – and gay erotica was an entirely new world for me.
But having been a writer for more than 30 years – in very different areas – I simply decided to take up the challenge and see if I could meet the needs of what I was sure would be a very demanding market
And then I thought of the great Oscar Wilde and assured myself that if he could do it, then so could I.
Although there is no concrete proof, many admirers believe that the outrageous Victorian erotic romp Teleny – the story of a beautiful young man's obsessive passion for a dark and dangerous concert pianist – was authored at least in part by Wilde and even now, more than a century later, it remains as electrifying sensual as ever and as explicit as anything written more recently.
It has been such an inspiration to me that my story Acts of Passion –available now on Amazon and several other sites – could be described as a 21st Century tribute to Wilde's story and his genius.
While the Wife's Away, however, was my introductory trio of stories and I surprised myself at the speed with which they were written.
It was simply a case of finding an idea and letting your imagination run away with the erotic possibilities.
Some of what you read might be based in part on the truth and some may be complete fiction…I leave it with the reader to decide for themselves and simply enjoy the ride.
Apart from Wilde, though, another of my inspirations was the author EM Hull.
You may not recognise the name any longer but Mrs Hull was the author of The Sheik, the 1920s shocker that inspired a Rudolph Valentino movie.
An astonishing piece of work, it's basically a repeated rape fantasy in which the heroine is constantly ravished by her Arab robed tormentor until she begins to enjoy the experience.
It may not be as explicit as Wilde's Teleny or today's more frank style of adult writing but it does still have a strange jolt of erotic energy running through it.
Very little is known about the enigmatic EM Hull but the internet does tell us that she was, in fact, the wife of a Derbyshire pig farmer.
And if a Derbyshire pig farmer's wife could earn herself a place in literary and movie history, I reckoned, then why shouldn't I do the same?
Now all I need is somebody to snap up the film rights and we could be well on the way to creating a Rudolph Valentino for the 21st Century!

While the Wife's Away is a collection of three gay short stories from well-known erotic author Kris Andersson.
While the Wife's Away: When the boss suggests an evening meeting at his home and makes it quite clear that his wife is away for the night, you can guarantee that there will be more than statistics and spread sheets on the agenda – and by the end of the night a new sort of business partnership has been created.
Masters and Servants: It's hard losing your job – and even harder looking for something new. But just how far will one man go to impress the boss? From steamy encounters in the office to passion in a scenic lift and shower room to lust in the potting shed, this is one job search that proves especially stimulating!
The Sin of Father Anthony: When a new priest arrives in town, one lapsed Catholic decides it's time to start attending Mass again – but he has more than absolution on his mind as he uses his girlfriend to get closer to the true object of his desire and give him a night he'll never forget. From lusty housekeepers and choir mistresses to a hairy trucker with a taste for stockings and suspenders, this is a story packed with sexual thrills for a young man on a personal mission to satisfy his gay passions.

Kris Andersson is an award-winning writer – and occasional actor – who specialises in gay erotica. His work has been described as both pacy and steamy. His current titles include While The Wife's Away – a collection of three stories – Acts of Passion and A Special Gift. A fourth title is expected to be published very soon and will take Kris in a very different direction, a gay love story set against the horrors of the First World War and its aftermath.

Six Sentence Sunday
Here are another six sentences from my lust demon project, which I am happy to report is just about ready for submission.
"Are you hungry?" she asked. Food was usually a surefire way to get a guy back to her place. They could eat, they could talk, they could fuck each other's brains out.
"Always," he said, grinning like the Cheshire Cat.
Rena smiled back. She did not at all mind the thought of being his dinner.

Heroine Inspiring Women
As a regular visitor to Lisa's blog, I know how it is usually graced with hot men. And I enjoy visiting as a result. But, since my recent release, Unknown Futures, is a lesbian romance, I thought I'd switch things up a bit. Today I'm going to bring you five hot women (as decided by my husband and I) who may (or may not) provide inspiration for heroines.
One: Angelina Jolie – She kicks butt in movies such as Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.
Two: Halle Berry – Storm in the X-Men series, Catwoman, and more
Three: Stana Katic – Best known as Kate Beckett on Castle
Four: Angie Harmon – From Baywatch to Rizzoli & Isles
Five: Julianne Hough – Dancer and actress
Now you tell me, who inspires your heroines?
Unknown Futures Blurb
Attacked as a young adult, Jewel is left scarred and alone. She applies to the 1Night Stand service, believing no one can see past her appearance to love her. But she doesn't expect to be sent to a space station where her date could be any number of unusual alien species.
Flavia left everything behind to be one of five humans working for the Space Service space station. Extremely homesick, she is excited to learn she will be a guide to a woman from Earth visiting the station for a couple days. She is immediately drawn to the petite woman, seeing past her scars to her true inner beauty, stirring unforeseen desires.
Unfortunately, Jewel is there for a date which Flavia hasn't been told about. Can she contain her lust and simply show her a good time? Or will she let her desire lead them into an unknown future?
