Special Guest Jennifer Probst & GIVEAWAY!!

I am super excited to have my friend and enormously talented author JENNIFER PROBST here with me today! Be sure to leave a comment and be entered to win a copy of Catch Me! Winner will be announced Monday, March 5, 2012

LisaFox: So, tell us about you. Who is Jennifer Probst?

JenniferProbst: Thank you my awesome hostess with the mostess! Oh, let's see, I'm a bit of a mystery (wink). A little bit of this…a little bit of that. Ah, hell, I'll be honest. I'm a mom of two young boys who still races after the bus since I'm late, owns pink fuzzy slippers and a matching robe, and wears it most of the day she's writing. I knew I'd be a writer since I was six, and used to write teen romances in longhand and pass them around the school. When I got laid off from my day job, something scary turned into something wonderful. More time to write and more time to discover me. How great is that?

So, I guess the best possible answer is the truth. I'm happy in my own skin, live day to day, and change as the wonderful journey of life unwinds!

LF: You are a romance author, but do you consider yourself a romantic?

JP: Yes. I believe in forever, soul-mate, deep true love, but can temper it by knowing the day to day stuff is work. I believe in smoldering looks across a crowded room, but get really turned on lately when my husband cooks and cleans up the kitchen.  I find romance in everything. When my son grabs a yellow flower from the lawn and presents it to me, it's just as magical as getting a dozen roses. Romance is everywhere – you just have to look for it!

LF: Catch Me is one of three stories about the Steele Brothers. Can you tell us a little about the trilogy?

JP: I'm so excited about this series, which may extend into five books. The Steele Brothers all work as casino dealers in Vegas, and all of them are set up with Madame Eve's One Night Stand (1NS) service – which is a wonderful line of books by Decadent. I explored the BDSM theme a bit, and in each story the progression deepens, along with the experiences of doms/subs. They're blistering hot, short, fast paced, and pumped with emotion. Here's the tagline:

Meet the Steele Brothers. They work hard. Play harder. And they're about to face the biggest obstacle of all…love.

LF: Rick Steele, the hero of Catch Me, not only has a fabulous name, but he sounds mighty hot. Who plays him in the movie?

JP: Josh Holloway baby. Oh, yeah…

(oh yeah, indeed)

LF: As we all know, the end of the world is coming this year. What five must-haves do you have in your zombie-proof bunker?

JP: Huh? Well, thank God you told me the world is ending, because I did not pack anything in my zombie-proof bunker. I better think quick here:

Water, batteries, chocolate, wine and my phone which has my e-reader on it. My husband would be so mad at my answer right now…

LF: What is your favorite way to relax after a hard day of working and writing?

JP: I'm so easy, it's ridiculous. A nice glass of wine, a good book, my family around me, and life is pretty much perfect!

LF: Any new projects in the works?

JP: Yes, Play Me and Dare Me are coming out, which tell the stories of Rome Steele and Rafe Steele. I'm working on the fourth story right now so hopefully that will richen the entire series!

LF: How can people find you online?

JP: In this case, stalking is highly encouraged! I love hearing from my readers and always answer/follow back!

Six Sentence Sunday

Six more sentences from my Valentine's Day free read, WISH UPON A STAR

Heather gave her one, last almost sorrowful look. "Really, Alyssa, love is not all roses and romance and happily-ever-afters. Not in real life. You gotta take what you can get and make the most of it."

"That's sad," Alyssa said, feeling utterly defeated.

"But not untrue," Heather said, and patted her arm.

What's The Deal With Cowboys?

I've been reading a lot of category romance recently and it seems that every other hero is a cowboy. I'm not quite getting why that is the case. What sets them apart from other men and makes them such an ideal hero? Is it the hat?

Special Guest Nik Havert – Voyeur Eyes Only Anthology

Does anyone besides me remember "The Seduction" starring Morgan Fairchild?  It's a wonderfully trashy movie from 1982 that played seemingly every night on local late night cable TV here in the Midwest.  Fairchild was stunningly beautiful in it and she played a TV news reporter with an obsessive fan who stalked her at every turn.  At one point, the stalker breaks into her home and hides in her bathroom closet and watches while she slips into a hot bubble bath and then maturbates right before his eyes.

I was eleven when I saw this.  It's not a movie meant for eleven year olds, but my parents would be asleep and I noticed that the "hard R" movies often came on after the monster movies, so I watched the sexy thrillers as well.  Seeing a beautiful woman masturbate in a bathtub nearly melted my brain.  I had no idea women could and would do such things.  You couldn't see everything going on under the bubbles, but even an eleven year old kid who spent most of his time reading comic books and swimming could figure out it was something naughty and arousing.  I've had a thing for women in bubble baths and women giving themselves a good time ever since.  If the two are combined, it's a win-win for my libido.

And no, I do not hide in women's closets.

When I heard about the "Voyeur Eyes Only" project, the first thing I thought of was watching a woman have solo fun across from my hotel in Las Vegas the last time I was there.  She'd be right across the street, but she may as well have been across the Grand Canyon.  I don't know if you've experienced the frustration of walking in a straight line down the Las Vegas Strip, but be forewarned if you've never attempted it.  The Strip is indeed a sight to see, but it is full of deception.  I'm not just talking about the pickpockets, drag queens, and fake statues.  Yes, you can see Casino Amazing is two blocks from Casino Incredible, but getting to Casino Amazing may involve walking over two bridges and through three horseshoe-shaped walkways.  Even crossing the street can leave you expecting a giant piece of cheese at the end of your journey.

I incorporated that frustration into my story, as well as a dose of humor.  All of my erotica has a humorous streak.  Even my BDSM erotica has tongues not only in vaginas, but in cheeks.  I grew up believing sex should be fun.  I still believe this and hope my erotica brings arousal and at least a smirk.

It's an honor to be included in this anthology and in the company of all the other fine writers.  I must admit that it's a bit surprising and intimidating to be sandwiched between Jade Melisande (an award-winning sex blogger) and Laura Antoniou (creator of the famous "Marketplace" series).  These two crackerjack writers explore genres and sub-genres of erotica that are barely on my radar.  They look into dark corners and desires many leave locked away under their bed.  I write silly stories about people fucking.

I think that's one of the things I like best about erotica.  There's something for everyone, just like in this anthology.  I hope you enjoy it.  Thanks for indulging and embracing us.

An erotic collection of shorts stories by best-selling authors with a central theme of voyeurism in Las Vegas.

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas? Not anymore…

High above the Las Vegas strip, at the top of Skylane Tower, the rooms come with one special amenity; a high powered telescope. When a group of erotica writers descend on Sin City for their annual conference, the voyeurs witness first hand, that some authors live by the adage, 'write what you know'.

A woman's curiosity is piqued as she observes a beautiful stranger being bound in silky red rope. A man scouting for new sex slaves, watches as an elegant woman gets more than her hands dirty. A prostitute pulls a switch – sending her lover out on a call.  A simple slip of the hand, causes a case of mistaken room identity and a linen closet at a nearby hotel, sees more action than all of them combined. And that is just the beginning…

They say perception is reality. Is what the Voyeur sees through their spyglass just a fantasy; on which side of the lens would you like to be?
