60 at Northampton Rally
In Northampton on March 21 about 60 people attended a rally. The goal was to get the federal government to help people who want to move to the USA to escape war, persecution, or natural disasters. A spokesperson for the group that organized the rally told the Valley Post that the current law in the USA lets the government expel people who are asking for asylum. The government expels people without giving them a court hearing.

Easthampton, Massachusetts is expected to pass a fee on vacant commercial buildings in the coming weeks. Easthampton borders Holyoke. Brattleboro will likely pass a fee on vacant commercial buildings within a few months, town manager Yoshi Manale told the Valley Post.

The long article elaborated on why the multi-millionaire businessman feels Russia invading Ukraine is a good thing for the U.S. economy.

Rally for Afghanistan
A dozen people attended a Greenfield rally February 14. They were calling on Biden and congress to do more to help poor people in Afghanistan. In the middle of a major snow storm about 25 people attended a rally in Northampton on Martin Luther King day. The goal was to get congress to pass voting rights bills.
