Books coming soon!
Just a note to say that we got the MGM edits back on Inheritors today. We're working on making those edits now, and as soon as that's done, and we've written the "previously on Stargate Atlantis!" introduction, the book should be out pretty promptly. Stay tuned!
Melissa and I also got the edits back on Death by Silver a couple of weeks ago, and we've turned that manuscript back in; we're looking at a late spring release date there. For updates on our Victorian mysteries on Tumblr (plus entertaining Victoriana while you wait), you can follow Mathey and Lynes. (I'm also on Tumblr as amygris, but most of my posts are to the matheyandlynes blog.)

Assembling mechanical ducks
Sorry for the long radio silence -- I spent much of the summer traveling for work, and then September and October getting my ducks back in a row. I always want to say "getting my ducks in gear," which suggests a steampunk duck invasion.
Updates on various things: the manuscript for Inheritors is turned in, and we're expecting the first round of edits soon. It's a little sad to be reaching the end of the series, after three years! But I've greatly enjoyed getting to be part of this post-series voyage for the Atlantis team, and I like where we're leaving the characters and their story.
I don't have a release date yet on Death by Silver, my Victorian fantasy/mystery novel co-written with Melissa Scott, but it should be sometime next year. Jo Graham and I are working on a new draft of Lifeboat, a SF novel about a group of starship passengers stranded on a strange planet; we've removed its original frame story, which feels a bit like trying to turn a live animal inside out, and are currently smoothing out the last third of the manuscript.
And now I should really go wind up more ducks ...

Heart's Desire out for Amazon Kindle!
SG1-20 Heart's Desire is now available in ebook from Amazon!
Colonel Jack O’Neill wants a relaxing mission for SG-1 as they recover from Sha’re’s death at the hands of Teal’c and the horrors of Sokar’s prison world of Ne’tu. The trade negotiations on Saday look like just the ticket — until the pirates show up.
Captured by rival bands of treasure hunters in search of the mythical Heart’s Desire, the team must fight to stay alive and to find each other among the vast mountains and ravines of a world where pirates captain airships and down is a very long way indeed.
But SG-1 have deeper battles to fight. In the wake of his wife’s death, Daniel Jackson strives to rebuild his friendship with Teal’c while Major Carter struggles to accept the legacy of Jolinar’s memories…
It should be up very shortly from Crossroad Press in other ebook formats, and then shortly after that in print -- I'll keep you posted.
If you want a print copy anytime soon, you may want to plan to order directly through Fandemonium (or go with the ebook version instead) -- Amazon is being really slow to list the print books from Fandemonium if they list them at all, and I can't predict when or if the print book will be available through Amazon.

Heart's Desire cover! Plus things in progress
I have a cover for Heart's Desire! This is SG-1 #20, a Season 3 team adventure.
The book should be out soon, hopefully in the next couple of weeks (as usual, ebook first, and then the print book.) I'll keep you posted when I have an exact release date.
Right now I'm working with Jo and Melissa to finish Inheritors, the final book in the Legacy series. We're hoping (cross your fingers!) to have the series complete and all books out by the end of the year.
After that, I'm planning to work on a second draft of Lifeboat, an original SF novel written with Jo Graham, and then on the sequel to Death by Silver with Melissa Scott, tentatively titled A Nonconforming Death. It looks like Death by Silver will be out sometime next spring.
But, first, it's time for that final showdown between the Atlantis team and Queen Death ...

The Furies!
STARGATE ATLANTIS: The Furies by Jo Graham, the next book in the Legacy series, is now out! This is the book that was Avengers, renamed to make it clear that Hulk and Iron Man will not be putting in an appearance.
You can order the ebook (all formats) through Crossroad Press, and the ebook is now available through Barnes & Noble and Amazon. The paperback should be available soon through Fandemonium.
The print version is print on demand, and I don't know when or if Amazon is going to stock it; they still haven't stocked the print version of Allegiance. That may change, but for now, your best options are the ebook or ordering through Fandemonium if you want the print version.
The next Legacy book will be Secrets, scheduled for later in the summer; the next Fandemonium book released should be my SG-1 novel Heart's Desire, tentatively scheduled for early July (we still haven't got the last MGM edits in hand, but we're doing everything we can to get the book out on time.)
Also, check out Melissa and Jo's original novel LOST THINGS, available from B&N in ebook (U.S. credit card needed) and for pre-order through Crossroad Press! If you like their Stargate books, you'll probably like this -- it's a retro 1930s fantasy/adventure, with magic, aviation, and teamwork.

Death by Silver
Hey, folks, exciting news: Melissa Scott and I have just sold our novel DEATH BY SILVER to Lethe Press. It's a gay Victorian fantasy/mystery, set in an 1880s London in which metaphysics -- magic -- is a perfectly respectable profession (but being a private detective still isn't).
When metaphysician Ned Mathey takes on what should be a simple task -- removing a curse on a client's family silver -- he and consulting detective Julian Lynes are drawn into an investigation involving murder by metaphysics, the darker side of Victorian boarding schools, automata suitable for bachelors only, and unconventional gentlemen's clubs for unconventional gentlemen. With the assistance of Inspector Hatton of Scotland Yard and Ned's clerk Cordelia Frost, Mathey and Lynes take on the case, but they'll have to face their own shared past in the process -- and decide whether they have a shared future.
I don't know any details yet about when the book will be out; stay tuned!

Legacy series + SG-1 standalone
We now have release dates on the rest of the Legacy series, plus my standalone SG-1 novel:
STARGATE ATLANTIS The Furies (Legacy Book 4, formerly The Avengers, renamed in an attempt to make sure no one expects Iron Man and Captain America) -- by Jo Graham, June 28
If Allegiance was Ronon's book, this one's really Teyla's book, but there are some great moments for everyone, I think. Now with a lovely cover!
STARGATE SG-1 Heart’s Desire – by Amy Griswold, July 21
This is a season 3 book, set shortly after Forever in a Day and Jolinar's Memories/The Devil You Know, and dealing with the fallout from both. Also, SG-1 gets to fight airship pirates!
STARGATE ATLANTIS Secrets (Legacy Book 5) - by Melissa Scott and Jo Graham, August 7
It's hard to say much about this book without spoiling The Furies, but I will say that you'll find out more about the Wraith, and that our team has to make some hard choices ...
STARGATE ATLANTIS The Inheritors (Legacy Book 6) - by Melissa Scott, Jo Graham, and Amy Griswold, November 2012 (we don't have an exact release date for this one yet, but we're doing everything in our power to actually get it out in November.)
The big finale!

Allegiance
The Kindle version of Allegiance is available to purchase now! Only $4.99! Amazon seems to have jumped the gun a little on the release, but that's better than having it delayed.
Fandemonium is also taking pre-orders for the paperback version. If you're waiting to order the print version from Amazon, we're hoping it'll be available starting next week (but Amazon makes things available according to their own schedule, and we don't have much control over it -- we'll keep you posted!)
Also, since I've seen a couple of people wondering about this, it's actually somewhat more profitable for the publisher (and therefore indirectly for us) for people to order an ebook version, despite the lower price. Or you could buy both! And buy them for all your friends! :-) But, seriously, don't hesitate to order whichever you'd prefer; I'm hoping we'll also have ebook versions in other formats available soon through Crossroad Press, which currently has the first two books in the Legacy series available in EPUB, PDF, MOBI, and PRC.

New Allegiance release date
I'm pleased to be able to say that the next book in the Stargate Atlantis Legacy series, Allegiance, will be out in November 2011. We don't have an exact release date yet -- we'll let you know as soon as we have more information!
I know the delays in the process have been frustrating for everyone, but it sounds like everything is on track now to get the book out in a couple of months, which is great.
