Style

Wow, I've been reading about how Authors start their books. They all seem to start at the beginning and work their way to the end.
Somehow I can not manage that.
Some even post on facebook,"Having my morning coffee, and ready to write."
I don't work that way either, and believe me I've tried.
Sometimes I wonder to myself if perhaps I'm doing something wrong. Why? Because I seem to have conversations pop up in my head and I simply have to write them down at whatever time it happens to be. I could be sound asleep when one comes, and I have to get up and write it down. The conversation could be for the end of the book, or the beginning.
Then, at some point in time, I gathering all the written conversations, and piece them together like a puzzle. Weird huh?

The Guardian: Old vs New

Lydia Rodriguez-ClementI have asked this question before on my facebook fanpage, and the answer was the same down the line. I asked, what kind of Heroine would you prefer, the damsel in distress, or the fiesty independent girl?

Compared to the Classics, which many are in the damsels in distress category, and the new novels of today, which one would you prefer and why?

My own answer, if you have not read my book THE GUARDIAN, is the fiesty independent girl.
