One Good Thing
I haven't done one of these posts in a while. I didn't get a lot of response to them so I thought perhaps I was boring you. Must keep the readership happy, you know. But I have gotten a few inquiries as to where they went so here's a new one.
Received an early Christmas gift from my sister Amy and her hubby Nick, who live on the Naval base in Japan. Amy downloaded her music library onto one of those tiny flashdrives and sent it to me. She knows me well! I've always said the three best gifts anyone can give are good books, good music, or good wine. When I opened the envelope and saw the little flashdrive I at first thought, "What a strange little lighter? I don't smoke, and neither does she...Right?!" Then I thought, "Espionage! My sister's a spy!" Then reality took over and I realized it was lots and lots of music. My sister and I don't have the same taste all the time. (I can't get behind My Chemical Romance. Sorry.) But we do share quite a bit more in tastes than me and the rest of my family. Anyway, good music, and lots of it, definitely a good (if overwhelming) thing.

Nice conch, huh? I love photos like this, using contemporary models to hearken back to ancient times.
