A Desperate Plea
Dear T-Mobile Marketing Team,
I will title my next book “Use T-Mobile Phones Because They are Awesome” if you pull your endlessly stupid commercial wherein a voiceover set to dramatic music senselessly rhymes things like “One, two, Kalamazoo. Five, Six, West Phoenix.”
Words cannot express how much I hate this commercial.

2011 5 Under 35 honoree John Corey Whaley will host the 2012 National Book Award Finalists Reading on Tuesday, November 13 at The New School in New York City. The event is open to the public; tickets are $10 each and can be purchased through The New School’s website. This event always sells out quickly, so get your tickets early!

Today I registered to vote in Texas. My one...
Red State Blues.
Today I registered to vote in Texas. My one vote will not turn the state blue. But, nevertheless, I will vote and I will do it proudly. Also, I live very close to George W. Bush, so it will make me feel good to vote for Obama in his neighborhood. Maybe that’s illogical, but not to me.
