The Turk-tacular Turkey Town Trotters take on Thanksgiving: Or, let’s feed the hungry together!
Hello, friends! This week I need your help. You see, I’ve decided to sign up for Sacramento’s annual Run to Feed the Hungry, which has gone virtual due to Covid (meaning: you can run a 5 or 10K anywhere in the world, whenever you like, then you email the organizers your time). This will be my very first official 5K, running outside and keeping time, so I’m super excited.
So, why do I need your help? Because I want to help raise money to feed the hungry in my community, and my audacious group goal is $500.
Any amount helps! Even a $1 donation can feed a family FIVE meals. How amazing is that?
If you’ve got a little cash to spare, please consider donating to this worthy cause. 100% of all funds raised go directly to Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services. As a result of this event’s fundraising success, SFBFS offers services free of charge to families in need in our community all year long. And, of course, all donations are 100% tax deductible!
To Donate Any Amount: My group is called the Turk-tacular Turkey Town Trotters, and all you need to do is click the link. (Bob’s Burgers fans will note that I borrowed this name from one of the show’s Thanksgiving episodes, as I was channeling my inner Linda Belcher — pictured in the screenshot above as she gets ready to head to the top of the pecking order in “Dawn of the Peck.”)
Thank you for your generosity, and if you’d like to join our Turk-tacular team to help us in our fundraising goals, please feel free to add yourself when signing up for this fun virtual event!

Happy Halloween! Let’s get spooky with a new #giveaway

Combining my three favorite things, I decided to hold a Halloween giveaway featuring three fun prizes.
Prize #1:
A Wednesday Addams face mask + scrunchie combo, to show off your love of all things black and mysterious.

Lovers, Players Seducer-The Revenge by JA Jackson
Last time, in J. A. Jackson’s steamy, romantic thriller Lovers, Players and The Seducer, the storm came… and went. Back then, Nicholas La Cour played a very dangerous game of cat and mouse; one in which he involved his childhood friends, Kienan Egan and Quinn Rolandis. Even worse, he put his own sister, Lacey La Cour, right in the middle of that storm. Everyone got swept away in the torrent of greed, lust and ruthless ambition. All except two ratchet lovers… Discover as one ratchet lover determined to put the past behind her, believes she’s found true love only to be catapulted into an intriguing world that threatens her life and may shatter her heart. Another storm is coming, but will the two ratchet lovers survive it?
Excerpt from the book
Quinn stood on the pier at Fisherman’s Wharf hid among the throngs of people and watched as the young mother smoothed the windblown hair of her child as she watched the magic act being performed.
He knew why he’d come back to California. The woman talking lovingly to the child was the only person in the whole world that he trusted and the only woman that he’d ever loved. He and the woman had grown up together with no idea that they were brother and sister.
Quinn swallowed hard and let his gaze travel to the man standing beside her. His old friend, Kienan Egan. His eyes captured a tall, lean tamer lion with diehard toughness watching lovingly over his pride. At the sight of the smile Kienan gave the smiling child securely held in his arms, Quinn envied him. Kienan was a proud, happy, married man. A father with his whole world within his reach.
All at once the little girl let out a spontaneous peal of laughter amused at the antics of the magician performing in front of her.
As if on cue Lacey Egan’s head reared up astute as if her womanly instincts were on high alert. Her gaze scanned the crowd on the pier. All at once her gaze turned transfixed and powerful as she honed in on a man.

Get ready for Halloween! Enter the “If The Broom Fits” #giveaway from Sarah Sutton
Halloween really is the worst.
Blaire’s got to be the only person on the planet who hates Halloween. At least the only person in her small town, which practically worships the holiday. Ugh. And it doesn’t help that her super-hot ex-boyfriend, Lucas, is determined to convince her otherwise by making her take part in “festive activities.” Apparently carving pumpkins and watching scary movies is going to magically change her mind about the holiday? Yeah, right.
But Blaire has never told anyone the truth of why she hates Halloween or the truth about why she broke up with Lucas. She’s definitely never told anyone about how much she second-guesses that decision. Being around him is so much harder than she thought, especially when it looks like he’s starting to move on.
And when she gets a letter in the mail from someone who broke her heart, can Blaire overcome the negativity drowning her? Or will her bitterness and secrets push everyone she loves away?
With scary movies and pumpkin spice, If the Broom Fits is a sweet and heartfelt autumn romance that will put you in the spirit of Halloween.

Embrace Sacramento Love with a Sacramento Prize Pack of goodies
Have you heard about my Sacramento Prize Pack? To help celebrate my release of Sacramento Love, I’ve put together an awesome prize pack featuring a variety of local goodies. But what are these goodies, and why did I want to include them in my prize pack? Great questions!
Today’s spotlight is on Kitchen Witch Apothecary: soaps, salves and sundries handcrafted in Northern California. I found Jillian’s store on Etsy while I was searching for local soap makers. She makes beautiful handmade soaps like this Fool’s Gold variety, which features sweet orange and peppermint essential oils, as well as many varieties of soap, laundry soap and assorted skincare offerings.
Why handmade soap? I was drawn to the Fool’s Gold variety specifically because several of the stories in my book feature references to the California Gold Rush and its modern equivalent: Bitcoin mining.
Jillian also makes tons of other varieties of soap, as well as laundry soap and assorted skincare offerings. Check out Kitchen Witch online at etsy.com/shop/KitchenWitchCoStore and follow them on Instagram @kitchenwitch.co to learn more. And be sure to enter for your chance to win a bar of Fool’s Gold soap in my Sacramento Prize Pack!

Enter to win my Sacramento Prize Pack, featuring golden goodies
Have you heard about my Sacramento Prize Pack? To help celebrate my release of Sacramento Love, I’ve put together an awesome prize pack featuring a variety of local goodies. But what are these goodies, and why did I want to include them in my prize pack? Great questions!
Today’s spotlight is on Zamera Textiles, a family operation based in Antelope, CA that makes handmade products from 100% natural fiber materials. I found them on Etsy, searching for local candle makers; they create beautiful beeswax candles that will burn for up to 10 hours. They also make scrub caps, custom face masks, cotton bags, baby toys and more.

Why beeswax candles? Their seductive golden color represents several of the stories in my book that touch on the California Gold Rush and its modern day equivalent: Bitcoin trading.
Check out Zamera Textiles online at etsy.com/shop/ZameraTextiles and follow them on Instagram @zameratextiles to learn more. And be sure to enter for your chance to win a beehive candle in my Sacramento Prize Pack!

Sultry Saturdays: Machiavellian by Bella Di Corte
Machiavellian is the first of three books set in the savage world of the Gangsters of New York series.
I hungered to be seen.
There were three things I knew about Capo Macchiavello:
He was gorgeous.
He was reclusive.
He was considered one of New York’s most savage animals.
And he wanted me as his wife. A simple arrangement – you do for me, I do for you. Nothing owed, no expectations. Except for one: never leave.
Life was never that simple, though. By the age of twenty-one, I was parentless, jobless, and homeless, and I had come to learn the hard way that nothing was ever free. Even kindness comes with strings.
Capo might’ve been the only man to ever see me, but I had made a vow to myself: I would never owe anyone anything. Most of all, the man I called boss.
I killed to stay hidden.
Mariposa Flores thought she owed nothing to no one, but she owed everything… to me, the ghost the world had once called The Machiavellian Prince of New York.

Bella Di Corte has been writing romance for seven years, even longer if you count the stories in her head that were never written down, but she didn’t realize how much she enjoyed writing alphas until recently. Apart from writing, Bella loves to spend time with her husband, daughter, and family. She also loves to read, listen to music, cook meals that were passed down to her, and take photographs. She mostly takes pictures of her family (when they let her) and her three crazy dogs.
