Margie: Good morning, Brita! Thank you for inviting us to...

Tori: Yes, I feel right at home in all this red – it's my signature lip color you know!
Brita: Love those leather boots, Tori – and stiletto heels. Very hot. Margie, you've been holding out on us about.
Tori. I can see why she would be a star in Dangerous Love!
Tori: I'm already liking you a lot, Brita.
Margie: Just remember, Tori, we're here to talk, not feed.
Tori: Dirk and Ladislav were spot on about you, Churchy, you're a spoilsport. And stop grinning like that at me, it's equally annoying.
Brita: Margie brought me the most wonderful copper necklace so I'm off the menu, Tori, sorry! Please tell us your connection to the hunky Wade Kairos in Dangerous Love.
Tori: Wade and I go way back. We met at a party not long after he was turned, so I guess that would have been about 70 years ago.
Brita: Party?
Tori: Well, vampires have to have some way to spend eternity and you humans love to come by for a day or two. It's a nice way to enjoy a meal. Vampires don't need sex in the physical respect humans do, but we are excellent lovers. We get plenty of practice and we're not shy about what we like. Anyway, Wade and I got very cozy soon after he was turned. We spent lots of time together over the years sharing intimate liaisons and a lot of necks. That bitch, Jui Fabrice, pulled the rug out from under my relationship with Wade. I didn't like it, nor did I feel like I needed to accept it.
Brita: And so?
Tori: I made it very clear to Wade I wasn't giving him up without a fight.
Brita: Sheez, did you get into a brawl with Jui?
Tori: Of course not. I'm not into bitch slapping. I dealt with Wade directly. Several times. He's extremely intelligent and protective of Jui. That's why both of you are wearing that ridiculous copper jewelry. I can't understand what he could see in—her.
Margie: Victoria holds grudges.
Tori: I'm right here, you don't need to speak like I've left the room, Churchy.
Margie: True. She also holds a huge grudge against the leader of the vampire nation, Ladislav Husek.
Tori: He turned me into a vampire. I could have easily killed Ladislav for turning me, but I liked Margie's idea and made him suffer all these years.
Margie: *Laughs* Ladislav got a constant reminder of the consequences for crossing you, that's for sure.
Tori: You have good ideas Margie, but you didn't have to give Wade most of them. He already was a genius.
Margie: Between you and Ladislav, he has all he can do to protect Jui.
Tori: It's too bad that delicious black prophet, Dirk, can't convince Husek to forget about me. It's really inconvenient to my party schedule to keep a continent or two between me and the evil bastard, Husek.
Margie: Language, Tori.
Tori: Meh, I wish Dirk would use his whip on Husek instead of his lovers.
Brita: Maybe he does.
Tori: Oh, I'll have to catch up with Dirk and ask. You know, he looks like he could crush you with two fingers and he's always dressed in black leather . . . pretty sexy if I do say so myself . . . but I've heard he has a soft spot. Maybe I should find out what it is!
Margie: And leave Wade and Jui alone? They are in love, you know. You could show some respect.
Tori: Vampires demand respect, they don't give it.
Brita: She has a temper.
Tori: She is still here.
Margie: Don't you have a neck to suck somewhere?
Tori: For someone with one of those Christian kind of names, you give a lot of attitude.
Margie: Meh, you'll get over it. Just be back on Monday for the release of Dangerous Love at Noble Romance. Ladislav and Dirk will be there too.
Tori: What about Wade and that woman?
Margie: You mean Jui?Tori: Yes.
Margie: They'll all be there front and center – and Jui already has her copper on.
Tori: I'm going to find a way to make you squirm, Churchy. Watch me. Take care, Brita. It was truly nice to meet you.
Brita: Wow, she's a handful.
Margie: You don't know the half of it.
To celebrate the release of Dangerous Love on November 22, I'm giving away a copy to one commenter. Tell me what you think about BDSM in romance novels and you could win.
Love Bites II: Dangerous Love blurb:Wade Kairos faces deadly consequences for defying the leader of the vampire nation. Ladislav Husek partners with Master Prophet Dirk, to prove Wade can run but he can't hide. And neither can Jui Fabrice, the woman Wade loves. Every bit of his ingenuity is needed to protect her from being turned into a vampire or a prophet. If that's not enough trouble for him, another vampire from Wade's past comes forward and makes it abundantly clear that what used to be hers is still up for grabs. Someone will pay with their life in Dangerous Love.

New Site Banner and New Projects
Happy Sunday, All,
Please take note of my new, custom banner. Yes, ladies, that IS Jimmy Thomas and how lucky am I? The talent and attention to detail that makes Reese Dante the great cover artist she is, produced the banner for me and I couldn't be more pleased. I think, finally, I have my permanent header, which is, to my mind, about time!
Have you visited Red Lipstick Journals yet? If you haven't, you should. Seven erotic authors have gotten together and you can only imagine what is going on! Keta Diablo just gave out our Biggest Ass of the Month award and Margie Church wants to know what is on your Naughty Nightstand. Not THAT drawer! What you are reading, what books you have on your nightstand - oh, my, the minds you have!! *wink*
Do you think watching porn is emotional cheating? Go over and vote on our poll.
What are the 11 erogenous zones for a man? Yep, the answers are on Red Lipstick Journals.
Don't have time? This week, RLJ will be available on Amazon as a subscription blog. Pick it up on your Kindle, i-phone or other electronic device and read our blog at your leisure, on the go and preferably not while you're driving. We wouldn't want you getting so hot and bothered that it caused something tragic to happen!
Now, for new projects. I have a couple in the works, which is all I can say about them. They are exciting and though they will have the Brita Addams erotic touch, they are both a bit of a departure for me. I'm loving them and I always write with the reader in mind, so I believe you will love them to.
Love Immortal, my m/m historical vampire story comes out on December 4 at Silver Publishing. The edits are done and it is up on the Silver site under Coming Soon. You can even pre-order if you'd like.
Here is a blurb:
Born in 1620, Laurent Kinsdale, an orphan at ten and a vampire at twenty five. Despite the training he receives from his sire, Laurent, on an impulse, turns his lover, Graham Symonds. Graham is angry and in retaliation, kills Laurent's parents and rapes Laurent (off scene). Graham then disappears for a century and a half.
After a wonderful thirty year, loving relationship with Alistair Wyncott, Laurent is left alone to mourn his human lover's death. Six years of travel finally brings Laurent back home to Berkshire, England, where he meets Sebastian FitzHugh. The two men have common sexual interests and soon become important to one another, despite the fact that Sebastian doesn't know about Laurent's vampirism.
Their lives are disrupted by the re-emergence of Graham, who insinuates himself in the middle of their idyll. He kidnaps Sebastian, nearly kills him, which forces Laurent to make a decision he'd never wanted to make, should he allow Sebastian to die in his arms or turn him and have him forever or will Sebastian become like Graham, angry and vengeful?
I'm also writing, as part of an anthology, a piece on Vanity. I'm looking forward to reading what the other authors are writing about their particular Deadly Sin. Should be great fun.
I received a rather left-handed review this week on one of my books. A point (out of 5) was taken off because the book was too short. Everywhere I've seen it for sale, there is a page or word count designation but this particular person prefers their books longer. However, they buy one with less volume than they prefer. Go figure. Okay, then a half was taken off because the book had spanking in it. Yes, it does, as the blurb clearly states. They liked the story, a lot, but due to their failure to READ before they purchased, they gave the book a 3.5 star review. Seems to me they reviewed their own failure and not mine, but then, that's just me. I get testy about such things.
The holidays are fast approaching, the southern temperatures have gotten to a tolerable level and I am looking forward to some fireplace action. However, I'm never far from my laptop and the story ideas seem to take precedence over everything else. I've not doubt 2011 will be a prolific year for this author and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Till next time,
Luv,
Brita

Red Lipstick Journals
Good morning everyone,
I am so happy to say that Red Lipstick Journals blog is now open. We have amassed some of the best writers of erotica to create the Naughtiest blog around. We have best selling authors who specialize in titillation and wrap wonderful stories around all the wonderful, not, steamy, luscious sex.
The first entry you will see is about antique wooden phalluses from the 18th century - yes, lovelies, pictures included.
Then indulge your fantasies - ask our Scarlet Rose your sex questions. Oh, go ahead, you know you want to. Someone already asked about spanking and our Scarlet (as we wont to call her) gave "Wants A Red Ass" her own unique take on the subject.
Margie Church as written about men's erogenous zones and I hear there are many people taking notes! You may have to stand in line for that one.
We have a slideshow of some particularly gorgeous HOTTIES - no blog is complete without them *Brita looks around, seeing her blog is woefully missing said HOTTIES*
Okay, I included one here, which I happen to think is one of the most erotic pictures I've ever seen.
Our blog will have new content every day, including Naughty Excerpt Saturday. I can't wait for that!
Come join Keta Diablo, Dakota Trace, Amy Romine, Dena Celeste, Margie Church, Kharisma Rhrayne and yours truly, for a hot romp through the world of erotica, past and present. Our content is only limited to our imaginations, and well - hey, we are writers; our imaginations know no bounds.
Now, go on over to Red Lipstick Journals and follow that blog. When you do that, come back here and tell me you've done it, and I will put your name into the hat for a copy of one of my erotic Sapphire Club novels. Now that will get your blood circulating!
Go now - I'm off to write a hot scene for my vampire series. I'm using my guys above for inspiration.
Luv to you,
Brita

Great New Things and Crying
Good Friday to everyone,
I had a rather melancholic beginning to my day. I saw a picture of someone close to me, who I don't see as often as I'd like. He has been quite unhappy for many years, due to circumstances that long since escaped his control. There is one bright spot - a lovely, beautiful baby girl and he has made her his entire world. She makes him laugh with her little girl giggles and the silly things she says. I know he'd give up everything to have her with him every day.
However, in the picture I saw, he looked happy. The sparkle was in his eyes, that scampy little twist to his mouth that always told me the little imp in him was alive and well. There were traces of his old self in the picture and it made me cry - for him.
It told me there was hope for a happy outcome to his life, one that includes laughter, love and a carefree air that can only come when heavy burdens are lifted and he is able to walk in the sunshine again. That love has entered his life and that he knows he is worthy of it. Grab it and hold on tight, dear one. Seems like you found a keeper.
GREAT NEW THINGS
Brita Addams is branching out. Last night, quite out of the blue, I was invited to be one of seven authors who are writing an anthology on the Seven Deadly Sins. My sin is Vanity, which, really, has never been something I've ever been guilty of. However, I will create a character who is nothing but - stay tuned.
I have three books coming up, two written by Brita and one by Tina. This week, the wonderful cover artist, Reese Dante, over at Silver Publishing, created a book cover that knocked my socks off. She is very communicative with authors, asking a gazillion questions, in an effort to get the cover the author feels will represent the book the best. I love that about Reese - she doesn't assume anything about the cover, she wants input from the author.
During one of our back and forth sessions, she asked me if I'd ever heard of cover model, Jimmy Thomas. As fortune would have it, just the day before, I'd been looking at his myriad covers and drooling, er, ah, wishing, that I too, could have a Jimmy Thomas cover. The man is gorgeous, personable and he loves his fans.
Reese and I looked at pictures and though I loved them, there was something missing. Soooo, Reese contact Jimmy and asked if he had any pictures that were closer to what I had described. Low and behold, he sent her several and among them was the gem that has found it's way onto my cover.
There he is, on the right, my perfect Laurent Kinsdale, vampire supreme. Love Immortal is part of a three book series, Mysterious Moonlight, and I've already asked Reese to prepare, for I wish to have Mr. Thomas on all the covers.
I changed my Facebook avatar to this book cover and to my surprise, Jimmy changed his to the same cover, saying how much he loved it. Hooty-Whoo! I say!
The edits are done and we are just waiting for December 4th to roll around, when Laurent Kinsdale and Sebastian FitzHugh are unleased on an unsuspecting world.
RED LIPSTICK JOURNALS
I became a part of now eight, soon to be ten, erotic authors, who have created the Red Lipstick Journals. It is an erotic blog, with diverse entries, Naughty Excerpts, advice and many surprises. It is a no-holds-barred romp with definite adult themes. Remember, we are erotic authors, or authors who write erotica. Yeah, that's it!
OTHER PROJECTS
Aside from writing the second book in my Mysterious Moonlight series, I am working on two other books at the same time, lest grass grow under my feet. I was asked how I keep everything straight and I answered, lots of index cards!
Yes, Brita is busy. My muse is working overtime, even if he is on London time. I have a strange feeling, I'll be writing my little fingers off to please the demanding guy, but then, that IS what I love to do.
Till next time,
Luv,
Brita

Happy November

I love autumn, the cooler weather, the leaves turning, the cider - okay - those are things I used to love about living in New York. In the south, we have two seasons - hot and not so hot. Every once in a while, we might have a span of say, four or five days, when I get to wear my sweatshirt with the cardinals on it, my particular favorite, but not terribly often.
We don't have leaves turning or real cider either, but a girl can dream. We do have a fireplace, and if I have to crank the air conditioner to 60, we have fires at night, starting about the time Thanksgiving rolls around. I love this time of year and as they say, I make it my own.

Now, as for November leading into the Christmas season, well, I have had to slow that down a bit. Since I am busy writing a good deal of the time I used to use to shop and decorate, the family has had to make due with less. Less decorating that is. Since my daughter "volunteered" to host Christmas last year, it stands to reason that it was a blanket volunteer until the year 2020 or there abouts. I've done it forever, and I do mean forever and now I pass the mantle onto her capable shoulders.

My grandson, adorable and coming up on teenage much too quickly, seemed pleased when he discovered we were going to his house for Christmas and he didn't have to leave his house. I am nothing if not accommodating.
Fear not, our home will have a Christmas tree this year, and the symbolic gifts underneath, which will be picked up and carted, I mean taken gently to our daughter's home. All will be brightly wrapped and labeled and we will share in the joy of seeing the hard work on Christmas Eve torn to shreds not eight hours later. Then we will enjoy a really wonderful meal, prepared by someone other than me and my husband, a Christmas gift beyond imagination.
All will be well - if only I can find that game my grandson asked for - the one with the warriors in some kind of costumes, with guns or something or other protruding from their hands - doggone it, I wish I'd listen closer when he was asking for it.

Chocolate, Tea and the Duchess 4 Hunk Review

RomFan Reviews
This is the week for great reviews for the Sapphire Club. It's the Duchess' turn for raves. This is what RomFan Reviews says:
Britta Addams returns us to the Sapphire Club in true fashion with Phillip's issues of everything being just sex and not allowing his emotions to become involved and Felicity's tenacity and drive to win her husband's heart will make it very difficult to put the book down until you have reached the end. I cannot wait to see what Ms. Addams has in store for her readers next.

Great Review for Serenity's Dream - 4 Cherries out of 5
Great Review from Whipped Cream Review. 4 Cherries out of 5

WHIPPED CREAM REVIEWS

Lucien Damrill, the fourth son of a Viscount inherits no land or title, so instead he creates the Sapphire Club. Lucien's life has been going as he wants until the bride who deserted him the day after they were married ten years ago shows up. Lucien knows Serenity is running from something, but if she wants to stay he'll turn her into his perfect submissive "creature of the flesh". What follows is a carnal feast. The sex scenes are extreme. I felt hot the whole time I read this book. Not to mention the fact that I stayed up to 3am because I couldn't stop reading.
I'll be honest, I didn't bond with Lucien and Serenity immediately. The mouth-watering sexuality of the book is what kept me reading. Lucien and Serenity were not a love match, rather a marriage of convenience. Initially both were together for very cross purposes. Instead of feeling intense attraction to each other, their inner monologue reflected their motivations. If at the beginning Serenity and Lucien were totally turned on to each other in their thoughts, I would have been drooling. Serenity and Lucien's feelings change through their sex games. It's only at the book's climax, that Lucien truly admits his feelings to himself. I enjoyed this book and see incredible potential in Ms. Addams's writing. I look forward to reading more of her books.
If you're looking for a temperature-raising sensual and carnal story, Serenity's journey at the Sapphire club will surely satisfy.
