AUTHOR TALKS
I spoke, mainly about my historical thriller "Calvus," at an author talk I gave at Helensvale Library yesterday. It went exceptionally well with a great Q&A session afterwards. They've asked me back to repeat the talk at 11:30 am on Saturday 18 January.

LITERARY LUNCH
Just back from the Gold Coast Writers Association's annual literary lunch. This year's event was the best ever. Guest speaker was Ray Martin. Ray gave us a preview of his new book, "Ray Martin's World," full of stunning photography and fascinating comment on his 40+ years as a journalist.

AGNUS DEI
My manuscript "Agnus Dei" has been awarded Runner-up in my category in an awards contest run by Custom Book Publications in Hong Kong. It will be published in time for the London Book Fair in early April 2014 where it will be released.
