My dear friend and mentor CJ Henderson, passed away this 4th of July.
I found out through people sending me condolences via text and FB.
I had no idea what they were talking about.
I spoke to CJ this past Wednesday, and we were talking about Italian ices. He was his loveable curmudgeonly self, and that’s how I choose to remember him.
It’s because of him that I am the person and writer I am today. That’s also how I choose to remember him.
He’s already in my head, and has told me in which of my worlds he wants to appear…
