Hi Beth. I'm an Irish author and my first novel -- Gabriel's Gate -- has just been published and is quite possibly the first novel to come out of the recession. It's a dark, biting, thriller about a group of young people going back to live off the land on a commune of sorts. It's now on ebook also and available on Amazon.

I have two actually :-)
First one is Wishful Thinking (my take on Rumpelstiltskin) releasing today.
Blurb: Believing may be seeing but confidence can change impossible situations.
Plus-sized Jovie Andrews is constantly passed over for promotions and she feels invisible. Things only get worse when her boss, thinking he can impress the owner of their company, tells everyone that she can change old contracts into gold bars. If Jovie thought her life was bad before, she had no idea how horrible it could be until she finds herself in a room with stacks of outdated contracts she's expected to miraculously transform.
As she pours a cup of tea, she rubs at a stain on the creamer pot, and a magical being, Rand, appears, saying he'll help her with her troubles--for a price each time. Skeptical yet curious about the exotically sexy man, she agrees, but she's not prepared for the erotic things he does to her as reward. Over the course of her trials, he teaches her how worthy of good things she really is.
Once the tasks are completed, and freed of Rand's help, Jovie is given an ultimatum: find out his full name or exchange her life for Rand's; otherwise, he'll be lost for all eternity and she'll be trapped in the prison he came from.
You can get it now on Amazon and All Romance e-books. Will be available from Liquid Silver Books tonight http://www.liquidsilverbooks.
And Off The List (a sexy Christmas short) releasing Wednesday.
Blurb: She wants off the Nice List. He owns the Naughty List. Christmas Eve has never been so sexy.
Jack, the outcast cousin of the Claus family, has one job within the Realm of Christmas. He's in charge of the Naughty List. Distributing coal, emptying stockings, returning gifts, that's his bag—but it does have its perks. Some of the women on the List wait up for him on December 24th and he makes sure to deck their halls with every visit.
Cadence Harris did everything right in her life. Played by the rules, dated the "good" boys, said the right things, worked at the right job. But this year for Christmas, she wants something entirely different. She wants off the Nice List and in a big way. Never in her wildest dreams can she imagine what's in store when Jack pays her an accidental visit.
The night will prove that Santa always delivers.
Will be at all e-book outlets and at the publisher Purple Sword Publications http://www.purplesword.com
Thanks for the opportunity!

Beth,
I just posted a review on my blog, Sandy's Spotlight, for Rebecca Stroud's short story/novella, Do Unto Others.
Anyone that loves animals would probably enjoy this book. Anyone that abuses animals should take note. I must say, though, that Do Unto Others is not for the faint of heart.

I hope you and your viewers enjoy the author interview, book review and excerpt.
Thank you so much for giving us bloggers another avenue to share our reviews!

The Older man younger woman. That is what me and my hub is. There is a 15 yr age difference between us. He is more mature and stable than many people I know. I love him dearly. The older man seems to know what he wants and has figured things out. To me an older man seems more the Alpha male thing going on.

As a woman pushing 40, I often find myself involved with younger men (in their early twenties). For me personally, I seem to relate to them better and we have more things in common. I don't know if this is because I'm young at heart or just immature. *LOL* I don't know that I actively seek them out, but they sure find me. I think younger men often like the stability and maturity of older women. Not to mention sexually, they tend to believe we're more experienced, whether that's true or not.
Don't get me wrong though, I do often find men older than me attractive--it seems all the male celebrities I find sexy are much older than me. I certainly wouldn't turn down a Silver Fox!

I've always thought that women often go for older men for father-figure security, including money. When guys go for older woman, it's - in my view - a totally different dynamic, and it's all about sex. There isn't the teeniest fraction of his body she doesn't know about. Older man + younger woman or Older woman + young man: who's getting the best sex? Again, in my opinion, the young guy.
