Fun Reviewing Awards Submissions
Today I got to spend a few hours reviewing student sumbissions for our 2014 Adobe Design Achievement Awards. In addition to hanging out with some really talented judges, the real treat was seeing some of the absolutley amazing creative submissions. We'll announce winners at MAX in October, but until them I consider myself truly fortunate to have had the chance to review student work that could rival anything created by professionals and studios. Wow!

Flash And AIR 15 Now In Beta

The Flash and AIR teams show no signs of slowing down. Less than two months after the release of version 14, the beta versions of Flash Player 15 and AIR 15 are available for download on Adobe Labs.

The New Edge Animate Actions Panel
Edge Animate CC 2014 (version 4) features a new Actions Panel which offers a new streamlined workflow for visually adding actions to specific elements and on the timeline. Actions allow you to provide event-based instructions to your composition. As explained in this blog post, these instructions include playing an animation, creating a hyperlink, creating article links in a DPS magazine, changing text, and many more.
