Is it possible to combust? Black Diamond #52 in Kindle, Before Black Diamond #80...
I thought I'd swing by Amazon before turning off my internet connection. And what did I see?
Black Diamond
[image error] [image error] Before Black Diamond
[image error] [image error] I am doing my happy dance knowing that the numbers change hourly. Regardless, I'm going to celebrate this small victory and keep writing. Thank you again. I am going to shut off my internet and get back to work. Night!

I probably should pour my cup of coffee down the drain because this much excitement this early in the morning is NOT good for me. Actually...it is. It's fantastic.

Now back to work I go!

Read an eBook Week: Challenge 2 Give Indie Authors a Shot
[image error]
March 6 - March 12 is Read an eBook Week. Many publishers and authors either lower their ebook prices or they provide them FREE.
I'm continuing with my challenges... Challenge 2: Give Indie Authors (like me!) a Shot
While the prices are low and the selection is plentiful give independent (indie) authors a shot. What are indie authors? They are authors that are self-published or they are published with a small publishing company.
Basically, this challenge requires that you don't select your "favorite author" or a bestseller that you know. Find someone new and interesting.

Read an eBook Week: Challenge 1 Read in Another Genre
[image error]
March 6 - March 12 is Read an eBook Week. Many publishers and authors either lower their ebook prices or they provide them FREE.
Read an E-Book Week educates and informs the public about the pleasures and advantages of reading electronically. Authors, publishers, vendors, the media and readers world-wide are welcome to join in the effort. We encourage you to promote electronic reading with any event. These could include: public readings, library displays, reading challenges, school visits, newspaper and blog articles, chat show appearances, internet radio interviews, e-book give-ways, and banners on your website.(View details here.)
I thought I'd challenge my readers and you (because if you're here, you're now a reader...thanks).
Challenge 1: Read in Another Genre
During this week you can find books at a deep discount, less than a dollar, and others are free of charge. The first challenge is to read in another genre. Take advantage of the discounts!
Thus, if you normally read romance, try paranormal romance or suspense. Do you read nonfiction? Try reading Christian fiction.
Try it. Let me know how it goes.

Looking for a few interested writers...
Do you hear the crickets chirping? (smile) I do. It's quiet around here and it's all my fault. I hate to make excuses but I've been not feeling well. I did what all good people should do...I made lemonade out of my lemons and started planning.
I'm sure you're thinking...oh no, what is she up to now. And I'll gladly reply...
I am prepping for a Writers Boot Camp. It will be all run through my blog. It will cost nothing for participants. But I hope to have at least 5 other authors to join me.
I plan to start asking authors I know to join me. But here's what I'm looking for.
Writers looking to perfect their craft. We all are trying to get better at this writing thing. But why go at it alone.Writers looking to participate in an online writing group. I have visited several groups in my area but with my family, classes and such it's hard to squeeze it in. I'm fortunate to have fellow writings that stay connect or I'd be a loner.Writers looking to increase web traffic. I could go into detail but I won't right now. If you want more people visiting your website or blog then I'm talking to you! (smile)Writers wanting to increase their blogging. Same as #3. I won't go into a lot of details. If the shoe fits...Writers that plan to participate in NaNoWriMo 2011 (November 2011). I want to online camp to end with a bang and run us right into the NaNoWriMo writing challenge.Writers that are committed. This is the most important.
If you are interested, send me a message and complete the interest form and spread the word.
