Congratulations to Mandy H. for Winning the Weatherford 'Family' Stone Necklace Contest!

Thank you all for sending in your entries! It was so much fun to read your favorite scenes and quotes from the Residue Series!

To keep the contest fair, I printed each of the entries, folded them, and dropped them in a top hat. The drawing pulled Mandy H's submission...the scene in Residue, Book 1,  when Jameson defends Jocelyn in class, despite it being against his family's wishes, by channeling Charlotte's power.

Congratulations again Mandy! Hope you enjoy the necklace!

If you purchased a Guardian Trilogy book...

If you or someone you know has bought a book from the Guardian Trilogy, this post is dedicated to you. Thank you! Through that purchase, I've made donations to help care for animals in need at HSUS and other animal rescue organizations. To see a few of the ways your contribution has helped, HSUS has posted a video of their 2012 victories. I thought it should be shared with you. Hopefully this is the start of many positive 2012 videos as the year comes to a close!

Prophecy (Residue Series #4) to be released February 15th!

Hello, hope you all are finishing up your holiday shopping and are well underway wrapping! I'm a little late in adding this to my blog, especially since I mentioned it on the Residue Series page over a week ago! I've been swamped with holiday stuff, too...Anyways, I wanted to send out a firm confirmation that a date has been set for Prophecy to be released. Mark your calendars for...(burrrr...that's my horrible attempt at a drum roll)...

Friday, February 15th

Now I realized that is the day right after Valentine's Day well after it was a set-in-stone date. But maybe that's a good thing? Romance shouldn't be adhered to for just one day, right? Romance should be daily, right? And maybe Prophecy will help do just that!

It'll be tough to say goodbye to this series. It's been with me for a year now, written almost in its entirety during 2012. So in essence I'll be saying farewell to the Residue Series and to 2012. A dual au revoir. But with every closure comes new opportunity, new beginnings, and a chance to fall in love again. And that's exactly what I'll try to deliver in 2013.

Hmmm, I think I just found my New Years resolution... :)

Ezra's mug, Felix's apron, and more

Picture To help bring the pages of the Guardian Trilogy and the Residue Series to life, I've recreated some of the items mentioned in the books in an online store. T-shirts, mugs, and aprons relating to the Guardian Trilogy and the Residue Series are now available, including Ezra's well-loved-and-often-used coffee mug and Felix's apron, which you might remember being mentioned in the very first book of the Guardian Trilogy. Please browse if you get a chance! The link is to the right, but for simplicity, I'm posting it here too: http://www.zazzle.com/laurysfanstore/gifts

An Interview with BC Johnson

Picture I met BC at a book signing and found Deadgirl, his debut novel, to be a great read! The story was so unique and the way he writes is wonderfully innovative that I had to introduce him to you! BC resides in Southern California with his ninja/fiance, Gina, and his dog Luna (aka Luna-Tuna). At some point on his path to full-fledged writer, he exchanged his beloved drum set for a computer, which made his neighbors happy...because a keyboard is much quieter to bang on. Now, on to the interview!

Me: Hi BC, thanks for meeting with me! How about we start with a brief description of Deadgirl?

BC Johnson: Deadgirl is the story of Lucy Day, a fifteen-year-old girl who dies on her very first date. She proves to be too stubborn to take death lying down, and comes back a tad . . . off. Now she has to put her normal life back together, hide the secret of her disappearance from her would-be boyfriend, and escape her own personal Grim Reaper, a man sent to right the wrong that brought her back from the dead.

Win a Weatherford 'Family' Stone Necklace!

Picture From now until December 20th, email me at laury@lauryfalter.com with your favorite scene or quote from any book in the Residue Series and you'll be entered to win the crystal quartz necklace shown in the picture!

A little about the necklace: As anyone who has read the Residue Series knows, each family wears a specific 'family' stone. The Weatherfords wear a crystal quartz which (won't come as a surprise to some) has the power to heal. While the winner won't be a Weatherford by birth, they will be wearing a bonafide Weatherford 'Family' stone.

This handmade necklace features a 12mm clear crystal quartz melon round, which has been hand wrapped with sterling silver wire and set to slide along a 20" sterling silver cable chain. The silver chain has been oxidized to achieve a nice dark patina, which gives the piece a rustic, modern effect.

Don't forget to share this with your family and friends who read young adult romance!

SAVIOR Is Now Available!

Picture Savior has been released!

This book was truly a labor of love for me.  Not only are there a lot of "ah ha" moments as details of characters are revealed but the intimacy between Jameson and Jocelyn flourishes. They no longer need to hide their love, and they take full advantage of that fact.

I've already started the last book in the series, which picks up where this one left off, and it has been heartwrenching to write. Anyways, I don't want to give away too much. I hope you enjoy this third installment of the Residue Series.
