How To Walk In The Favor of God

The favor of God is unpredictable. It has nothing to do with anything we’ve done or are going to do. But when we encounter God’s favor, our lives change significantly—our boldness increases and our effectiveness is multiplied. So how do we experience God’s favor? Is there a favor formula? In this clip from our sermon series, Found Favor, Pastor Steven teaches us how to position ourselves so that when God’s favor flows, we don’t miss out.

When “Good Enough” Is No Longer Good Enough

We all have areas of our lives where we have settled. Areas where we’ve decided that “good enough” is good enough. But God hasn’t called us as believers in Jesus to merely survive the world, plodding along in our daily routine, waiting for the day we die. No, there’s more to our existence than that. In this clip from the first part of our series Greater, Pastor Steven talks about the greater life God calls us to, and the unconventional path we must follow to get there.

The First Step to A Greater Life

On the flip side of the dreams we all have for our lives are the weak links. Fear. Guilt. Comfort. Selfishness. The parts of us that always slow us down and trip us up and keep us from experiencing God fully in our lives. So why are we so unwilling to let go of our weakness in our pursuit of God’s greater plan? And what are we missing out on in the mean time? In this clip, Pastor Steven teaches us what we must do first before can truly begin to live a life for the glory of God. This clip is taken from a special sermon recorded as an accompaniment to the teaching of Pastor Steven’s new book, GREATER, and is only available in the Greater Church Challenge Kit. Elevation Creative: Greater Short Films

Recently, our video team had the opportunity to travel across the world, creating a group of short films to release alongside Pastor Steven’s new book, GREATER. From the legendary corridors of Abbey Road Studios in London, England, to the ancient landscapes of Israel, our goal was to create a multi-sensory experience that would help facilitate group discussion or personal reflection for the viewer. The four short films are available with an accompanying participant’s guide or as part of the GREATER Church Challenge Kit. To find out more, visit GreaterBook.com.

GREATER Day

To celebrate the release day of Pastor Steven Furtick’s new book GREATER, join us for GREATER Day, beginning at 9:00AM EDT live at http://greaterbook.com/greaterdaylive. You’ll have the opportunity to hear from Pastor Steven as he goes behind the scenes and describes the heart and vision of GREATER, get a sneak peek of the new GREATER short film series, hear songs from the new Elevation Worship album Nothing Is Wasted, and be a part of Skype interviews with Pastor Steven and other nationally known church leaders like Craig Groeschel, Matt Redman, Mark Driscoll, and more.

During the 12 hour broadcast only, we’re doing a very special outreach initiative. We’re connecting with great non-profits serving children across the country to bless and empower them with tools to start the school year off right. Each hour, we are sending backpacks to a non-profit partner of the special guest that Pastor Steven is interviewing that hour. Buy the book, tell us here, and we’ll donate a backpack full of school supplies to a child in need.

Elevation Creative: Lead The Generation

At Elevation Church, we charge our students with not just being a part of this generation, but leading it. To emphasize this charge, we kicked off this year’s Student Takeover worship experience with “Lead The Generation.” Our goal through this piece was to engage and inspire students to do just that – to no longer conform to the culture around them, but to redefine it.

Do You Make It Better?

We are all a part of different teams. Whether it’s at your job or at your school or in your family. And even though we play different roles, we all have the ability to make our teams better or worse. Are you an asset or a liability? Are you gaining ground or losing yards? In this clip from the Summer Concert Series sermon “Sinkers & Savers,” Pastor Steven uses the life of Jonah to ask an important question about the relationships in our lives and the impact we are making on them.

What We Are Doing to Help the Next Generation

Every weekend at Elevation Church we want to preach the love of Jesus. But it doesn’t end there. We also want to show the love of Jesus to our city. Outreach has always been a huge part of our church’s culture. In years past, we’ve done city-impacting initiatives like Love Week and The Orange Initiative. This year though, we’re shifting our focus to meeting the needs of specific individuals – students. Watch this clip as Pastor Steven explains the M1 Initiative, and our plan to reach the under-served and at-risk students of our city.
