Summer Begins Blog Hop

It's Summer!  What do you plan to do?

Me?  I'm going to kick back, take it easy, and...oh wait.  That's my alter ego, the one who lives in a Perfect World.

Yeah, back to me.  I'll be working on editing, writing a Christmas novella, reorganizing the sunroom (a dreaded task), and fighting weeds with all my might.  After all, I live in the Real World.

What about you?  Does your upcoming summer hold any secrets, adventures, or stories just begging to...

Amazing Books Giveaway Hop

Welcome to the MAY I SUGGEST Giveaway Hop!

I don't normally read YA, but a friend loaned me this book last summer, and I couldn't put it down!

Let me introduce BLUR by Steven James.

The isolated town of Beldon, Wisconsin, is shocked when a high school freshman’s body is found in Lake Algonquin. Just like everyone in the community, sixteen-year-old Daniel Byers believes that Emily Jackson’s death was accidental. But at her funeral, when he h...

Breaking Ties is the never-before-told rest of the story of Roanoke, the Lost Colony.  It's a story of hope and sacrifice, love and betrayal, and the tremendous courage of a group of pioneers who refused to quit when every one of...

Lucky Is Reading Giveaway Hop

Are you feeling lucky?

I recently bought a boxed set for 99c.  I know, I know.  A big risk, right?  I've been sorely disappointed by several boxed sets.  I almost didn't buy this one.  It had ten books, though, so the 10% that I got to read without purchasing was almost an entire book.  And it was a decent book.  A book I would have easily paid 99c to read on its own.

So I decided to go ahead and take the plunge, shell out the whopping almost-dollar...

An Open Letter to Grieving Parents

In October 2014, I was allowed the privilege of speaking at the Day of Remembrance for a local hospital – the hospital at which my daughter spent so many months.  The Day of Remembrance is a time to remember those children who we've lost, to celebrate their lives to the best of our ability, and to encourage the surviving family members as much as is humanly possible in the midst of such grief.

This is the speech I delivered that day – minus a few personal items I...

Love, Candy, and Cupcakes Blog Hop

Love, Candy, and Cupcakes Blog Hop

It's Valentine's Day!

And with Valentine's Day comes candy, cakes, and all things romance!

What's your favorite romance?

Personally, I have too many favorites to pick just one, so here's what I'm going to do instead.  I'll try to help you discover some new favorite romances.  Because I'm generous like that.  (Or because I really can't pick just one.)

I have a short story that's...
