Sweet Saturday Sample - Late for the Ball?

Late for the Ball?  released this week!  It's a short story, and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.  I've classified it as "YA w/ a Regency Feel" … After all, just because it seems like regency doesn't necessarily mean it is regency.  Today's excerpt picks up right where last week's left off.

Sweet Saturday Sample - Late for the Ball?

Woo-hoo!  Late for the Ball? is scheduled to release this coming Tuesday, June 18th.  It's a short story, and I'm (of course) really excited about it.  It's my first venture into writing for a younger audience, and I had so much fun!  I've classified it as "YA w/ a Regency Feel" … After all, just because it seems like a regency doesn't necessarily mean it is a regency.

Preparing A Place

Preparing a Place

*As a note, this was originally drafted last year.  I mention that because there's a reference to how many months since my daughter's death.

Jesus said, “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust in me. There are many rooms in my Father’s house; I would not tell you this if it were not true. I am going there to prepare a place for you. (John 14:1-2)

Jesus said He was going to prepare a place for those who trust in Him. ...

I Don't Understand

I've decided to start a blog series about grief.  I have been working on a collection of essays that I will share with you on Tuesdays.  I know it may seem like a depressing topic, but it's one I feel called to write about.  God is there in the midst of it all: the pain, the hurt, and the loss.

I Don't Understand

I was enjoying lunch with a friend at a coffee shop one day. A hospital chaplain, this friend said, "I've suffered pain in my life,...

Sweet Saturday Sample - Ten Million Reasons

Welcome to my blog and thank you for stopping by!  Today's Sweet Saturday Sample is a "first meeting" from my WIP Ten Million Reasons. It's a little bit longer than usual, but try as I might, I couldn't find a good way to break the scene into something shorter.  The manuscript is working its way through editing right now, so please forgive any mistakes.  It's a contemporary romance that (hopefully) has a good dose of humor in it.  As always, your feedback is welcome...
