In this lecture, Benjamin explores the gradual transition to global commerce that occurred between 1000 and 1750 AD.
He credits the major technological innovations of the Song dynasty (960 – 1279 AD) in southern China with a major role in this process. With the shrinkage of the territory under their control, this Song began relying on trade, rather than tribute, as their major source of government funding. For this reason, they generously subsidized new technological innovations with potential for improving export trade. Major inventions during this period included paper money, movable type printing, agricultural terracing (of entire mountains), gunpowder, sophisticated silk reeling machines and advanced irrigation technology. It would be another 600 years before these technologies would appear in Europe (a mostly illiterate backwater mired in continuous civil wars).
During this period, Benjamin maintains, European progress was slow owning to what he refers to as a “Malthusian cycle.” Between 800-1200 AD, a warmer, wetter European climate increased both agricultural output and population. Between 1400-1700 AD (the “Little Ice Age”), temperatures plummeted and crops failed. Famine combined with the Black Death (starting in the 1340s) would kill 30-50% in many European towns and cities.
With reduced tax take stemming from declining populations, European governments also sought to expand foreign trade as a way of funding government. The Portuguese were the first to establish trade networks with Asia in the 16th century. After 1600, the British and Dutch joined the lucrative Indian Ocean trade. In the 16th and 17th century the Portuguese and Spanish carved out huge empires in Central and South America, destroying the Inca and Aztec empires.
The silver the Spanish mined in Peru would form the basis of a global banking system that would ultimately finance global trade.
During the 16th century, China’s own population grew rapidly due to the introduction of corn, sweet potatoes and peanuts from the New World. After the Chinese government demanded that all taxes be paid in silver, most Spanish silver ended up in China. Some was transported by Spanish sailors to the Philippines, where Chinese merchants sold them silks and porcelain. Some reached China via bankers who used it to finance their Indian Ocean trade.
The triangular trade involving African slaves and plantation crops (sugar, tobacco and cotton) would be a key source of European wealth.
The discovery of new peoples (in in the Americas, Australia and the Pacific) not mentioned in the Bible led to growing intellectual skepticism, as scholars such as Francis Bacon (1561-1626), Galileo and Isaac Newton claiming a need to base knowledge on empirical evidence rather than the study of ancient texts. The adoption of so-called scientific method in Europe would lead to a “scientific revolution,” driven in part by warring European states in search of new military technologies.
Gutenberg’s introduction (to Europe) of the moveable type printing press* in 1439 contributed to the speed of scientific innovation. By 1600, Europe had printed nearly 200 million books.
By 1700, global trade was large enough that most European governments derived their income from taxes on trade. Yet as late as 1750, most of the world was directly involved in agriculture, with only 10-20% living in cities and towns. This changed with Europe’s enactment of a series of Enclosures Acts starting in the late 1600s. Roughly 50% pf the rural population would be driven off land they farmed communally and forced to take up menial work in the cities and towns.
*The moveable type printing press was first invented in Korea during the 11th century.

Moreover, Australia imposed Vaccine passports, which forbid citizens from eating out in restaurants, going into gyms, attending sporting events, and in some cases, forbid them from going into supermarkets to buy food.

Huge number of food shortages predicted for 2022 by a variety of experts
‘A lack of truck drivers, labor shortages where companies do not have the manpower to produce, package, and deliver goods, and let us not forget, the labor shortage is also being worsened by the Biden’s regime encouragement of employers to terminate or suspend workers refusing the COVID vaccine, whether because it is still experimental, or religious reasons. Those lockdowns forced school and restaurant closures, which in turn blindsided the farming industry because the demand dried up, so much of their “supply” had to be destroyed. Tens of millions of gallons of milk dumped, crops plowed through because the farmers couldn’t offload it, and ranchers forced to euthanize their own livestock because they couldn’t get it all processed.
With the schools, restaurants, and other business closures that state leaders deemed “non-essential,” we saw unemployment explode, which led to shortages at food banks and free food giveaways.
The point here is the lockdowns caused a trickle down and up effect which inevitably brought about massive food shortages, with empty shelves, limited options, and the rearranging of products by grocery stores to make their shelving “appear” fuller than they were, including front-facing products with nothing behind the front row.

Why is Japan crushing COVID?

Could it be that ivermectin drug that doctors and pharmacists in the US will be punished for prescribing?
I cannot recall a time in American history where the medical boards would go after you for prescribing an approved drug off-label for a condition that is supported by over 60 positive studies and multiple peer-reviewed systematic reviews and meta-analyses which is the highest level of evidence-based medicine. Can you?
Is there a cost-benefit analysis somewhere that I missed showing that ivermectin causes harm?
If the cost-benefit analysis is clearly negative, how could those positive meta-analyses been published?

Let’s look at death rates in Japan vs. the US. See a difference? On a per capita basis, Japan is beating the US by a factor of 17. As soon as Japan rolled out ivermectin, their death rates dropped rapidly to 0.

Unvaccinated workers who were fired suddenly being begged to return

Corporations’ mass firings of unvaccinated workers have been documented as becoming “more common” as Joe Biden repeatedly has mandated that they force their employees to accept the experimental COVID shots.
But now those companies are discovering that perhaps Biden’s leadership isn’t really what they should follow.
It’s because they are in such staffing emergencies that they are now asking their dismissed workers, the unvaccinated, to return to rescue them.

One person said in a video she was removed from her nursing job on Nov. 15, but recently got a request from her company’s staffing office “asking if I could work this weekend, through the New Year.”
The firings already have happened at a wide range of companies, with groups like Northwell Health boasting of having a 100% vaccinated staff after dismissing 1,400 from their jobs.
The dismissals have been happening not only at private corporations ordered by Biden to have all employees vaxxed but also at federal agencies.
A posting at Citizen Free Press noted one unvaccinated contributor explained, “I received a surprise email today … Us coerced and shamed ones are allowed to return to work on January 10th!!!”
The note explained testing is being required.

Māori Health Council Offers Alternative Registration for Pro-Choice Health Workers
New Zealand doctors and health workers (both Māori and European) who are losing their professional registration for 1) speaking out for vaccine choice or 2) refusing to be vaccinated now have the option of applying for registration through the Whakaminenga Health Council (WHC). The latter is based on Articles 1,2, of the 1835 Wakaputanga o te Rangatiratanga o Nu Tireni and Articles 2 and 3 of the 1840 Treaty of Waitangi, asserting that mana (authority) and sovereign power in New Zealand reside fully with Māori
The goal of WHC is to form a caring community-based network of duly qualified health practitioners who share its values and its commitments. Practitioners shall be immune from prosecution or censure by any authority, person, or entity, insofar as they are acting within the above stated principles, laws, and precepts in the context of their acknowledged skill set that has been vetted by the Wakaminenga Health Council (WHC) as part of their registration. The Wakaminenga Health Council shall be the sole authority to which their health practitioners are accountable.
The WHC is constituted under Tikanga Māori law and operates under Māori jurisdiction. Under the principle of first in time, first in law, Tikanga Māori law has precedence over NZ law. Finally, Police Open Criminal Probe into UK Vaccine Rollout

English medical dissenter Sam White and his legal team on Monday presented what they claim is “significant and irrefutable evidence” of COVID-19 vaccine safety issues to London’s Metropolitan Police — and a criminal investigation has now been launched.
Lawyers acting on behalf of Dr. White in his ongoing legal challenge to the British government and the National Health Service demanded the vaccine rollout be stopped immediately.
“A number of government departments and in particular individuals in public office and government have been named as offenders and we have supporting evidence,” attorneys with PJH Law announced.
One of the issues White’s legal team reported to the police is the government mandate that all NHS staff must be fully vaccinated by April 1. White calls this “blackmail” to force his colleagues “to take the vaccine or lose their jobs.”
White reached notoriety back in February when he was suspended by the NHS for posting a video on Twitter which was very critical of NHS reliance on the not-fully-tested vaccines instead of using effective therapeutics such as ivermectin.
The video went viral, attracting over a million views, even though Twitter took it down after just three days — but it also led to White getting suspended from the NHS. A successful Crowdfunder campaign enabled him to successfully appeal that decision.
On Dec. 3, the U.K. High Court revoked White’s suspension and interim gag order and found that the General Medical Council had breached his human rights.
Just two weeks later, on Dec. 17, White and his legal team applied for undertakings from the U.K.’s Medical and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to withdraw the COVID vaccines within seven days. If they don’t comply, PJH Law intends to apply for a “High Court injunction without further notice” to force them to do so, White’s lawyers announced.
The MHRA is a British Government agency that regulates medicines, medical devices, and blood components to ensure their safety and effectiveness. White believes it has failed miserably regarding the COVID vaccines.
“These injections are unsafe, still in clinical trial, and should be withdrawn immediately,” attorney Philip Hyland wrote on behalf of White and two others to the chair of the MHRA in a summary of evidence prepared for an injunction application.
“Your failure to investigate known concerns amounts to gross negligence in office,” Hyland continued, “and renders you and the executive board liable for serious misconduct in office, mal or misfeasance in public office and, or, rendering all the office holders potentially liable for corporate manslaughter in that you have been wilfully blind to the known harms of the SARS-CoV-2 injections. You have taken no action. You have a lawful duty to protect the public, and you have wilfully [sic] failed in that duty.”

The document criticizes the U.K.’s Coronavirus Act 2020, which eased the rules on certifying death certificates, meaning the doctors who sign them may have had only limited knowledge of the deceased, as previously reported in Just the News in May 2021. Under these new rules, in some cases death certificates have been signed by doctors who did not even treat the patient.
The law states: “In an emergency period, any doctor can complete the medical certificate of cause of death (MCCD), when it is impractical for the attending doctor to do so.” This raises questions about the validity of official COVID fatality numbers.
Also, the increases in cremations over burials has meant post-mortems have further decreased. White’s lawyers quote British undertaker John O’Looney, who has written to the chief coroner requesting that full inquests and post-mortems be resumed as he has “observed an increased number of deaths amongst young, previously fit and healthy, young men.”
White is particularly incensed that the ingredients used in the injections have never been published, which means patients have not been able to give informed consent. Interviewed recently, he cited the doctor’s Hippocratic Oath, which includes doing no harm and not administering toxins.
“You do not experiment on humans,” White said,” and consent must be freely given without coercion and include a discussion about alternative treatments such as nutraceuticals, therapeutics, and an individual’s material risk of developing covid-19 or actually coming to harm from it.”

Conservative talk show host Candace Owens continues to deal with controversy from her interview with Donald Trump, and recently published a video of her explaining her views on Trump.
She has publicly stated that she is against the COVID-19 shots:
“I just will never ever let that vaccine into my body. I believe firmly that Big Pharma is the greatest evil on the face of the planet. I am healthy, young, in shape and simply unafraid of Covid-19.” (Source.)
And yet, she insists that her views on the shots do not conflict with Donald Trump publicly stating how he wants everyone to get the shots, and lying to the public by stating the same lies that are coming out of the mouths of Fauci, Biden, and others that the “unvaccinated” are filling the hospitals and dying from COVID right now.
A few days ago, Dr. David Martin, who has been one of the leading voices in the Alternative Media exposing the fraud behind Sars COVID for the past two years, was interviewed by Conservative host Seth Holehouse of “Man in America” where the 1-hour interview was titled Why Does Trump Keep Promoting the Vaccine?
I have created a clip from that interview that I believe best sums up what Dr. David Martin said, and between what Candace Owens published, and the questions from pro-Trump Seth Holehouse that Dr. Martin answers, I think we have in under 10 minutes a succinct summary of the two current views about why Donald Trump is out pushing for everyone to get a COVID-19 injection.

This person, who goes by the name “Bitterroot Services and Enterprises,” then proceeded to “school me” on what they believe is the truth about Donald Trump that I am so “ignorant” about.
Other comments I frequently get are that I am “obviously a Marxist liberal” and support Biden, since I do not support Trump.
This is utter nonsense, of course, as any of our regular readers will know. I have publicly stated many, many times that the only two real “sides” that exist are the Kingdom of God which extends from heaven to earth in the spiritual realm through the true believers, and the domain of Satan which is this current world system.
Political divisions are all fake, and their purpose is to keep us all divided so we cannot fight together against our real enemies.
