Keep on Truckin’, Working Class Rebels, by Kurt Schlichter

Understand that “Democracy” means, to our garbage ruling class, rule by the ruling class with no annoying input from the people who actually make America work. The Democrat Party, once the party of the workin’ man, is now the party of tech zillionaires, college professors, welfare cheats, and sexually unsatisfied liberal wine women. The workin’ class was not merely abandoned by the Dems. It was thrown out of the party.

STRAIGHT LINE LOGIC

To the arrogant “elite”, democracy means rule by the arrogant elite. They don’t like it when the help gets uppity. From Kurt Schlichter at theburningplatform.com:

Keep on Truckin', Working Class Rebels

The line of polite big-rig drivers crossing Canada in protest over the maple leaf mandate Marxism imposed by the ridiculous Justin Trudeau is a welcome sign of the workin’ class revolt to come. The courteous Canadians outside of its noxious elite, a caste that rivals our own useless elite in terms of unearned self-satisfaction, have discovered something. They make their country happen. It’s not diversity enforcers who feed the Great White North. It’s not regime journalists who fuel it. And it’s certainly not genderqueer-affirming professors who defend it.

The working class is getting sick of this Schiff, and it is starting to push back. And this will happened here in America too. How it ends is unclear, but my money is on the guys…

Will Medieval Sleeping Habits End Your Insomnia?

In premodern Europe, and perhaps centuries earlier, people routinely went to sleep around nightfall and woke up around midnight—only to go back to sleep a few hours later, until morning. Then modernity came along and ruined everything by pressuring everybody to sleep in one big chunk.

Eideard

By Derek Thompson

I was researching my nocturnal issues when I discovered a cottage industry of writers and sleep hackers who claim that sleep is a nightmare because of the industrial revolution, of all things. Essays in The Guardian, CNN, The New York Times, and The New York Times Magazine recommended an old fix for restlessness called “segmented sleep.” In premodern Europe, and perhaps centuries earlier, people routinely went to sleep around nightfall and woke up around midnight—only to go back to sleep a few hours later, until morning. They slept sort of like I do, but they were Zen about it. Then, the hackers claim, modernity came along and ruined everything by pressuring everybody to sleep in one big chunk.

The romanticization of preindustrial sleep fascinated me…I reached out to Roger Ekirch, the historian whose work broke open the field of segmented sleep more than 20 years…

Julian Assange nominated for Nobel Peace Prize for his fight for democracy

Steve Sweeney

Morning Star

WIKILEAKS founder Julian Assange has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his fight for human rights, democracy and press freedom, it was confirmed today.

German MEP Martin Sonnenborn responded to an appeal by Mr Assange’s partner Stella Moris ahead of today’s deadline for nominations.

“Julian Assange has made unique and undeniable contributions to peace by lifting the fog of war,” Ms Moris said urging support for the journalist who remains locked up in Belmarsh high-security prison.

Mr Sonnenborn said that he nominated Mr Assange “for his fight for human rights, democracy and press freedom.”

In his submission, the German MEP said that he was returning the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize “mistakenly” awarded to the European Union for its contribution “to the advancement of peace and reconciliation, democracy and human rights in Europe.”

The Norwegian Nobel Institute which issues the global award confirmed the nomination of Mr Assange had been successfully submitted.

Last year the Nobel committee came under fire for “a sin of omission” after it failed to include Mr Assange as a joint recipient of the Peace Prize which was given to journalists Maria Resa and Dmitry Muratov.

They were award the prize because of “efforts to safeguard freedom of expression,” which the committee said is “a precondition for democracy and lasting peace.”

But former Nobel Peace Prize committee chair and former Norwegian prime minister Thorberg Jagland said the award “must raise pressure on the demand to free Assange and pardon [Edward] Snowden.”

Mr Assange could face 175 years behind bars in the United States under the draconian Espionage Act after he revealed crimes and atrocities committed in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere.

Press freedom groups say that he is subjected to a “politically driven prosecution” for publishing details exposing the world’s rich and powerful elites.

Last year it was revealed that US and British spooks colluded in a alleged plot cooked up in the White House to kill Mr Assange on the streets of London.

Despite this, a British court ruled that the US could extradite him to stand trial there, overturning a previous decision blocking such a move on grounds he was a suicide risk.

Last week the High Court gave him permission to appeal against extradition to the Supreme Court, which must agree to accept the case before it can proceed.

Vaccine-Induced Myocarditis Injuring Record Number of Young People. Will Shots Also Bankrupt Families?

In one-fourth (or more) of consumer bankruptcies, medical debt is the predominant causal factor, with medical problems often triggered by “sudden adverse events.”

By  Children’s Health Defense Team

Medical debt is the predominant cause for about 25% of consumer bankruptcies, with medical debt often triggered by “sudden adverse events — such as vaccine-induced myocarditis.

Summary:In one-fourth (or more) of consumer bankruptcies, medical debt is the predominant causal factor, often triggered by “sudden adverse events.”As of 2022, vaccine adverse event reporting of heart disease following COVID vaccines had increased 15,600% in young people under the age of 30, compared to the previous 31 years of heart injuries reported following receipt of FDA-approved vaccines.Autism, linked to vaccines as well as other toxic exposures, furnishes a cautionary tale, potentially saddling families with lifetime care costs of $1.4 to $2.4 million. In 2010, a government study estimated 1 in every 38 vaccine doses (2.6%) produced an adverse reaction. However, the sluggish and adversarial vaccine injury compensation process and a sky-high burden of proof leave two-thirds of claims dismissed or in limbo.Emergency Use Authorization COVID shots are even less likely to garner vaccine injury compensation. Attorneys caution, “If you have suffered a serious injury from a Covid-19 vaccine, you are basically on your own.”With over a million COVID-vaccine-related adverse events reported since December 2020, households are racking up extraordinary debt and turning to crowdfunding for help.Heart conditions, among the 20 most expensive conditions treated in American hospitals, pack a financial wallop.According to CDC, 96% of those under age 30 who experience heart injuries following COVID vaccination are hospitalized.Children tend to have a more sudden and severe myocarditis presentation than adults, with an estimated 7% to 15% mortality rate. Children hospitalized with myocarditis are more likely to die than children admitted with other diagnoses.Studies of children and adolescents who developed myocarditis following COVID vaccination show a “potentially poor prognosis despite the heart seeming to have returned to normal.” According to Mayo Clinic, “the greatest burden of myocarditis may not be apparent for 6-12 years after diagnosis when children die or need to undergo cardiac transplantation.”Cardiac injuries triggered by dangerous COVID injections appear to be good for business.A July 2021 BusinessWire report forecast a booming market for cardiac assist devices, noting “increasing incidence of heart failure is driving growth.”Families, however, are left holding the bag not just emotionally, but financially, blindsided by financial impacts they surely never anticipated.

For decades, families have been learning bitter lessons about the financial impact of vaccine injuries. In an estimated 18% to 26% of consumer bankruptcies or more, medical debt is the “predominant causal factor” — with medical debt often triggered by “sudden adverse events.”

Consider autism — by now indisputably linked to vaccines as well as other toxic exposures — which can saddle families with lifetime care costs of $1.4 to $2.4 million, setting up a contentious battleground between parents and entities like insurance companies and school systems that don’t want to “pick up that big tab.”

The government’s National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (NVICP), too, has gone to great lengths to avoid compensating autism and other childhood vaccine injuries, helped along by the well-known dysfunctions of the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).

Although an HHS-commissioned study estimated, in 2010, that 1 in every 38 vaccine doses (2.6%) produced an adverse reaction, the conveniently broken surveillance system facilitates propagation of the fiction that adverse events are “rare,” “one in a million” or, according to Dr. Anthony Fauci, “almost nonmeasurable.”

The taxpayer-funded NVICP has paid out over $4.7 billion since 1988 and professes to be an “accessible and efficient forum for individuals found to be injured by certain vaccines.” But its adversarial — and sluggish — process and sky-high burden of proof result in two-thirds of claims being dismissed or remaining in limbo.

When it does pay out, NVICP more often compensates vaccine injuries in adults than children.

Recipients of Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) COVID injections ostensibly have recourse to the special Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP), but the CICP, from its inception, has proved to be even more of a hollow promise than the NVICP, with no funds set aside to cover eventual compensation, no allowance for attorneys’ fees and a one-year statute of limitations.

As attorneys wrote in January, “If you have suffered a serious injury from a Covid-19 vaccine, you are basically on your own.”

The Covid Narrative Falls Apart in South Africa

Source:  RHODA WILSON

NWO Report

Last week, China Daily published an article that perfectly encapsulates the magical thinking taking place worldwide around Covid-19. Titled “Plea for jabs even as Africa infections trend lower,” the piece described how African “health experts” are “stepping up calls for more people to get vaccinated against COVID-19 in a bid to ward off future outbreaks even as trends point to a decline in the growth rate for new infections.”

That’s right, despite a clear downward trend in mostly-mild Omicron cases, “health experts” want shots imposed indiscriminately throughout the whole population. And adding even more to the cognitive dissonance here are the reasons they cite for the decrease:

“John Nkengasong, director of the Africa CDC, attributed South Africa’s decrease in new infection cases to increased population levels of antibodies, meaning that many people have been infected so hence developed antibodies combined with the high vaccination rate in the country.” wrote Edith Mutethya before adding the kicker: “To date, South Africa has fully vaccinated 27.3 percent of its population.”

This is, of course, a perfect example of how ‘health officials’ massage and manipulate the facts to suit their narrative. In this case, in his drive to get more “jabs,” Nkengasong laughably tells us the country’s “high vaccination rate” is partially responsible for the decline in Omicron cases. A “high vaccination rate,” in this case, of … wait for it … 27.3 percent.

Granted, 27.3 percent is higher than the meagre 10 percent full vaccination rate for the rest of Africa. But given these low percentages, especially by Western standards, one would be forgiven for thinking Covid-19 was raging like a wildfire across the continent, overwhelming hospitals and leaving massive levels of death and severe illness in its wake.

Except, that’s not the case at all. Not even close. In fact, deaths per million are surprisingly low for the vast majority of countries in Africa. Tunisia, a small country of 12 million, leads the pack at ~2,200, and only five others – South Africa, Namibia, Seychelles, Eswatini, and Botswana – are even above 1,000. That’s a stark contrast to the United States’ ~2,600, Brazil’s ~2,900, or Bulgaria and Hungary with more than 4,000 each.

Still, according to World Health Organisation regional emergency director Abdou Gueye: “Although Africa appears to be emerging from the peak of its fourth pandemic wave, vaccination which is a pivotal measure against the virus remains far too low. About 50 percent of the world’s population is fully vaccinated. In Africa, this is just 10 percent.”

After a peak of 37,875 reported cases on December 12, 2021, South Africa – ‘home’ of the Omicron variant that now dominates the globe – has seen its case numbers decline steadily since. How can this be? Nkengasong, to his credit, tells a partial truth by partially crediting natural immunity. He should have stopped there. Why didn’t he? I submit that it’s because of the magical thinking around Covid vaccines. Even a paltry 27.3 vaccination rate, he reasons, must have contributed to the decline. Would that ‘health officials’ here in the States were so generous. Instead, the third of the country that remains unvaccinated is blamed for everything from virus spread to the Black Death.

We’re told that vaccines against a spike protein that is no longer dominant are the keys to ending the pandemic, but they refuse to explain in light of recent data exactly how. Instead, our overlords allow the majority of the public to falsely blame the unvaccinated for contraction and spread, even while knowing full well that the vaccinated are just as responsible.

Why is the virus raging again in Israel, the most vaccinated and boosted country on the planet? Why is there no statistical difference between virus infection rates in highly vaccinated versus lower uptake areas in the U.S.? Why do the unvaccinated have the lowest infection rate according to disturbing newly revealed data from Scotland? I could go on and on. (And yes, we have asked the same questions about mask use.)

The sad, tragic fact is that their measures, from lockdowns to masks to even vaccine mandates, have done little to nothing to curb the spread of this highly contagious respiratory virus, and taken as a whole they’ve likely done more harm than good.

The Influence of the Evangelical Faith in the South

https://i0.wp.com/www.americanyawp.com/text/wp-content/uploads/Methodist-Camp-Meeting1.jpg

Episode 8: The Birth of the Cotton South

A New History of the American South

Dr Edward Ayers (2018)

Film Review

This lecture traces the influence of the evangelical faith on the South. Before the southern colonies joined the United States, the Anglican church was the primary faith. During colonial times, churches were built with public money and expected to disperse money and welfare services to paupers and widows.

Ayers credits John Wesley as one the the primary founders of the evangelical faith (in England). He and his followers preached about a God who spoke to them directly rather than through priests and preachers. Wesley taught that all Christians had to do to be saved was to acknowledge their sins, ask forgiveness and strive to live by strict guidelines forbidding drinking, dancing and gambling. After Wesley and his followers were derided as “methodists” (for the strict rules they imposed on themselves), they adopted the label for themselves.

Wesley visited Virginia and South Carolina in the 1740s, winning over numerous coverts wanting him to send missionaries or “evangels” to help spread his teachings in the New World.

The Anglican clergy, who couldn’t be “saved” without acknowledging their sins and experiencing conversion, prevailed upon civil authorities to have the evangelists jailed (for refusing to apply for a license to preach). They were also jailed and tarred and fevers (as suspected British loyalists) for refusing to fight in the Revolutionary War and for worshiping together with their African slaves. During the 1780s many evangelicals freed their slaves.

The evangelicals emerged stronger than ever from the Revolutionary War. Without the King of England as its nominal head of their church, the Anglicans lost their standing under the new US government. lost its standing under the new government. During the first half of the 19th century, the evangelical movement drew new members during “revival” camps hosting up to 15,000 people. Organizers and attendees belonged to Baptist and Presbyterian, as well as Methodist, churches.

Ayers emphasizes that these churches were the only real biracial institutes in the South in the 19th century. Unlike the Anglican church, the evangelical churches recognized slave marriages.  In the 1830s, freed slaves petitioned to start the First African Baptist Church of Richmond Virginia. Although state law required their minister to be white, the church was run by 30 African deacons (although most were freemen, a few were still enslaved).

Evangelical slave holders believed God’s purpose in sending Africans to America was to teach them responsible Christianity. Owing to the absence of law enforcement in frontier settlements, religion played a very important role in enforcing morality. Frontier churches also provided a stabilizing influence for slaves uprooted from their families to and transported to frontier settlements.

Foreign airlines start canceling flights over 5G concerns

Foreign airlines start canceling flights over 5G concerns ...

Madeleine Hubbard

Just the News

As of Tuesday evening, 109 flights into, within or out of the United States have been canceled.

Foreign airlines are canceling flights to the U.S. starting Wednesday due to concerns that the launch of 5G could alter planes’ equipment.

Dubai-based Emirates airline suspended flights “until further notice” starting Wednesday from nine U.S. cities including Chicago, Miami, Newark, Dallas and San Francisco. Flights to New York (JFK), Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., will operate as planned.

“Emirates regrets any inconvenience caused. We are working closely with aircraft manufacturers and the relevant authorities to alleviate operational concerns, and we hope to resume our US services as soon as possible,” the airline stated.

Air India suspended flights from San Francisco, Chicago and Newark, as well as New York City (JFK), notably unlike Emirates.

Japan Airlines announced the cancellation of some U.S. flights starting Wednesday.

“Boeing has notified us that 5G signals for U.S. mobile phones, which will begin operating in the U.S. on January 19, 2022, may interfere with the radio wave altimeter installed on the Boeing 777,” Japan Airlines stated. “We have decided not to use this aircraft-type on the U.S. mainland routes until safety is confirmed, and we regret to cancel the flight that cannot be changed to Boeing 787.”

Japan-based All Nippon Airways also announced that some flights would be canceled due to the 5G rollout.

Verizon and AT&T blamed the Federal Aviation Administration and airlines for not resolving the issues around 5G before now.

As of Tuesday evening, 109 flights into, within or out of the United States have been canceled for Wednesday so far.

Dr. Ryan Cole explains how the COVID vaccines compromise the immune system

Dr. Ryan Cole explains how the COVID vaccines compromise the immune system

Dr Eddy Betterman

Pathologist Dr. Ryan Cole explained how the COVID-19 vaccines compromise the immune system. The CEO and medical director of Idaho-based Cole Diagnostics said the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein used in the shots attacks receptors in the human cells that identify healthy cells from disease-causing ones.

“They still are telling people to get a booster. It’s a spike protein that [is] toxic to the human body, causes the same disease as the virus and is predisposing people to auto-immune attacks and potentially short-term cancer risks,” he told New American contributor Veronika Kyrylenko during the Defeat the Mandates rally in Washington, D.C. on January 23.

Cole said that he initially saw viral skin lesions, which are commonly found in children, developing in adults. As time passed, he encountered many biopsies and noticed a trend. There was an uptick in women’s cancers – including endometrial and cervical cancers – in older individuals.

“After I reported those, I have tons of oncologists coming forward and saying ‘Yeah, I’m seeing the weird cancers – [those] we’ve been able to keep in check and treat – taking off like wildfire.’ That’s because of the immune dysregulation that these shots cause.” (Related: Idaho doctor reports “20 times increase” in cancer among those “vaccinated” for covid.)

According to Cole, human cells have so-called toll-like receptors (TLRs) that classify whether a foreign object in the body is harmful or not. “When the [COVID-19] shots go into the body, they turn some of these [TLRs] off. Normally, they have to be on,” he said.

The pathologist added that when the vaccines turn off some of these TLRs, the immune system’s alert mechanism is compromised as a result. TLR7 and TLR8 are in charge of detecting viruses, while TLR3 and TLR4 are responsible for keeping cancer in check.

Furthermore, he pointed out that the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein binds to the P53 gene – the so-called “guardian of the genome” – which suppresses tumors. The spike protein’s S1 subunit also binds to the TMPRSS-2 gene linked to prostate cancer in men and the BRCA genes linked to breast cancer in women.

“We’re giving a shot that makes a spike protein. That’s a toxin that triggers cancer genes in bad ways and turns off other pattern receptors,” Cole told the New Americancontributor. “We don’t know how long the immune system is suppressed after these shots and how long these receptors are shut off – because those studies aren’t done.”

Cole also slams mandates and lack of informed consent

“We’re doing something randomly to billions of people as an experiment. There is not one approved [COVID-19] shot present and available in the United States. Everybody that’s getting a shot is still in a giant scientific experiment. We vowed never to do this again to humanity in 1947 at the Nuremberg trials. We would never experiment on humanity without informed consent again,” said Cole.

“It’s insanity that we’re trudging forward [with vaccination] when we know the vaccines are leaky. They don’t stop transmission [and] disease. People that are getting the shots are literally dying from all causes at higher rates than those that don’t get it. The all-cause mortality is now higher in the vaccinated group than [in] the unvaccinated group. We have lost our collective medical minds for money.”

Cole’s remarks to Kyrylenko during the rally in D.C. echoed the sentiments he voiced out during the August 2021 White Coat Summit, organized by America’s Frontline Doctors.
