Russia Second-Largest Net Exporter of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products to US in 2020

(CNSNews.com) – Russia was the second-largest net exporter of crude oil and petroleum products to the United States in 2020, the last full year on record, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

During that year, Russia exported a net 540,000 barrels per day of crude oil and petroleum products to the United States.

Canada, however, was by far the largest net exporter of crude oil and petroleum products to the United States that year. It sent this country a net of 3,193,000 barrels per day.

Saudi Arabia came in third with a net of 514,000 barrels. It was followed by Columbia (185,000); Iraq (176,000); Ecuador (87,000); Nigeria (56,000); Angola (31,000); Kuwait (28,000); and Guyana (27,000).

Despite running up significant net imports of petroleum from these countries, the United States overall was a net petroleum exporter in 2020.

“In 2020, the United States imported about 7.86 million barrels per day (MMb/d) of petroleum from about 80 countries,” said EIA. “Petroleum includes crude oil, hydrocarbon gas liquids, refined petroleum products such as gasoline and diesel fuel, and biofuels (including ethanol and biodiesel). Crude oil imports of about 5.88 MMb/d accounted for about 75% of U.S. total gross petroleum imports in 2020, and non-crude oil petroleum accounted for about 25% of U.S. total gross petroleum imports.

“In 2020, the United States exported about 8.50 MMb/d of petroleum to about 174 countries and 4 U.S. territories,” the EIA said. “Crude oil exports of about 3.21 MMb/d accounted for 38% of total U.S. gross petroleum exports in 2020. The resulting total net petroleum imports (imports minus exports) were about -0.63 MMb/d in 2020, which means that the United States was a net petroleum exporter of 0.63 MMb/d in 2020.”

In November 2021, the latest month reported by the EIA, both Canada (136,090,000) and Mexico (20,990,000) exported more petroleum to the United States than Russia (17,855,000). However, Russia’s 17,855,000 barrels in petroleum exports to the United States in that month still exceeded the 16,640,000 exported to the United States from Saudi Arabia.

Iceland Lifts All Restrictions, Wants “As Many People as Possible” to Catch Covid

After almost two years of restrictions aimed at curbing the transmission of COVID-19, the Icelandic Government finally announced on Wednesday that all restrictions, including all testing and restrictions at the borders, will be lifted at midnight on Friday, February 25th.

The Minister for Healthcare, Willum Thor Thorsson, said that with the current level of infections, continued restrictions are useless. “Restrictions do not have any effect at this point in time,” he said. The Health Ministry also said the way to end the pandemic is herd immunity through infections, and it wants “as many people as possible” to be infected to achieve “widespread societal resistance”. Vaccines will not provide the necessary immunity.

Over the past weeks and months, mask mandates and strict limitations on gatherings have been in place, while infections have surged and the restrictions seem to have had no effect on transmission.

As much as 81% of the population above the age of four has been vaccinated at least twice. Official figures now show a higher infection rate among double-vaccinated adults and children than among the unvaccinated, and the boosters clearly do little to curb infections, as the infection rate for the triple vaccinated is now around 70% of that for the unvaccinated, and approaching it slowly but surely.

Almost a third of the population has tested positive and based on a recent local seroprevalence study it may be estimated that the actual proportion of the population that has been infected is close to two thirds.

The use of PCR tests for the general population has been discontinued and the crowd waiting outside the main testing centre in Reykjavik dispersed just after the Government made its announcement on Wednesday.

Ayers starts this lecture by discussing the terrorism, consisting of intimidation, assaults, lynching and homicide inflicted by the Ku Klux Klan and related groups against both Black and White Republicans during Reconstruction. Support for the Republican party waned quickly when it became clear federal Republican officials could do nothing to protect their southern Republican supporter. By the late 1860s, most of the South had returned to Democratic leadership.

States with the largest Black populations (Mississippi, Louisiana, South Carolina and Florida) remained under Reconstruction (and occupied by federal troops) the longest (see Stuff Your Never Study in School: Reconstruction and the Freedman’s Bureau). However by 1876 (when the last federal troops withdrew from the South) only South Carolina and Louisiana remained under Republican control.

In 1876 the Democratic presidential candidate Samuel Tilden won the popular vote, but lost the electoral vote to Republican Rutherford Hayes. Because several southern states submitted two different electoral vote tallies of electoral votes, the election was decided in Congress. As a compromise, Congress awarded the presidency to the Republican Hayes and simultaneously withdrew the last federal troops from South Carolina and Louisiana (allowing all southern states to return to Democratic control). This allowed the South to essentially nullify the 14th and 15th amendment* in the 1880s and 1890s.

The post-Reconstruction period was one of massive industrialization and economic expansion for the South. The expansion of Southern railroads led to the blossoming of southern “railroad towns” and “general stores.” The latter provisioned small farmers now that most grew cotton (which could always be sold at a profit), instead of basic foodstuffs.

Because the South had very few banks, most southerners turned to landowners and general stores for credit. The main collateral they used was a lien on the next cotton crop.

The South also saw a surge in manufacturing, with the construction of numerous iron, lumber, textile and turpentine, sugar and tobacco processing plants. There was also a big expansion in coal mining to power southern industrial development. Owing to low wages, southern entrepreneurs always had ready markets for their cheap iron, cloth, coal, lumber, turpentine, sugar and tobacco.

In this lecture, Ayers also relates the history of the development of Coca Cola by Atlanta patent medicine salesman Dr John Pemberton.

Ukraine agrees to peace talks with Russia

Ukraine has agreed to hold peace talks with Russia “without preconditions,” according to multiple reports. Sunday’s announcement of peace talks was reportedly made by the office of Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the fourth day of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The peace talks between Kyiv and Moscow will occur on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, near the Pripyat River, according to Sky News. A precise time for the meeting was not provided.

The plandemic is imploding and the rats who committed crimes against humanity are panicking

A lot is happening these days with the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) plandemic, which is rapidly unraveling amid escalating civil unrest and continued revelations about the crimes against humanity that have been perpetrated on the world.

The Freedom Convoy trucker convergence on Ottawa, prompted Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to invoke the Emergencies Act, giving him new dictatorial powers.

Trudeau has already used these powers to terrorize the protesters by arresting some of them and even stripping them of their banking rights.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has also been forced to admit that the Operation Warp Speed “vaccines” create negative efficacy, meaning they damage the immune system and render it less able to ward off disease.

Figure 3 in this study by the CDC that was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) corroborates a study out of Denmark, both of which show that covid jabs make a person more prone to infection, not less.

Pfizer whistleblower Brooke Jackson also revealed recently that the drug giant committed massive fraud with its covid jab clinical trials. This revelation dovetailed with an announcement by government authorities in Scotland that covid jab injury and death data will no longer be published because it shows undeniably that the injections are killing people.

They can try to flee, but the plandemic rats will eventually pay for their crimes against humanity

The corporate-controlled media, in a desperate attempt to deter people from protesting against covid jab mandates, is now harassing Freedom Convoy protesters by doxing their identities in fake news articles.

Since it is now obvious that the plandemic sham is falling apart as people wake up to the truth, the lying media has resorted to bullying people who engage in free speech against the government’s dictates.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.), one of the leading congressional voices against the covid sham, has still not heard back from the Department of Defense (DoD) about a letter he sent to the agency about the massive spike in injuries and deaths being seen in the U.S. military due to its jab mandates.

The Pentagon’s highly accurate and credible Defense Medical Epidemiology Database (DMED) clearly shows that heart problems, neurological damage and other conditions are skyrocketing among fully vaccinated servicemen, and yet the DoD refuses to acknowledge this, let alone provide any explanation for it.

The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) is also overflowing with jab injury cases, but you will not hear a peep about it from the government or from the media because it rips to shreds the Biden regime’s continued false claim that the injections are “safe and effective.”

Excess deaths are also up at least 40 percent, according to the latest life insurance data. This revelation comes as Democrats are suddenly starting to backtrack on their beloved face mask mandates, and possibly soon the jab mandates as well.

A mass awakening is happening, and the perpetrators behind this global hoax are starting to bail. Those fleeing are hoping to exit stage left unnoticed, but it will not be that easy for them once the culmination of their lies catches up with them.

The Glorious Flop of New Zealand Virus Control

An infuriatingly consistent aspect of the mainstream media’s COVID coverage was their determination to prematurely credit a country with a wildly successful set of policy interventions. 

While there has been no track record of universally accurate predictions or expectations, the desire to claim victory as far back as spring 2020 has led to subsequent embarrassments as trends change. 

Naturally, New Zealand is no stranger to such untimely praise, with the BBC in July 2020 doing an in-depth look at how New Zealand became “COVID free.”

Of course, it was because New Zealand “…locked down early and aimed for elimination” and achieved “effective communication and public compliance.”

This is really the whole problem in a nutshell, isn’t it? 

Assuming that elimination was possible through effective communication, compliance and early lockdowns ignores the inevitably that COVID will eventually spread throughout the population, whenever you “open up.”

Elimination of COVID throughout the world is and always was impossible, and therefore Fauci’s assertion that COVID could be “eliminated in certain countries” was inane and virtually impossible.

So how successful has New Zealand been in eliminating COVID in the long term through effective communication, public compliance and early lockdowns?

Well. The numbers speak for themselves.

When the BBC wrote the article explaining New Zealand’s remarkable success in eliminating the virus, they were averaging 1.5 cases each day. It’s now 2,918 cases each day. 

That’s an increase of nearly 195,000%.

Elimination is a pipe dream.

No matter what policy interventions they’ve added, no matter how many early lockdowns they’ve tried, COVID has not been eliminated.

Remember how New Zealand’s amazing tracking and tracing system allowed them to identify transmission that could have only occurred via aerosols? And recall how all of the pre-pandemic guidance on masking suggested that masks could not stop aerosols? Did that stop New Zealand from using mask mandates to try and continue their elimination goals? 

Of course not!

The following are the currently enforced rules on face masks in New Zealand: 

As a general rule, you should wear a face mask whenever you are indoors. The exceptions are at your home or your place of work if it is not public facing. Your employer may encourage you to wear a face mask even if your job is not public facing.
When it is hard to physically distance from people you do not know, we encourage you to wear a face mask.
Everyone must wear a mask that is attached to the face by loops around the ears or head. This means people can no longer use scarves, bandannas or t-shirts as face coverings.

We know New Zealanders are complying because the BBC assured us that their success was due to population compliance, but the survey data backs that up as well:

Mask wearing has been consistently high since the mandate came into effect in August, yet cases have exploded anyway.

None of it has mattered. 

And this isn’t an insignificant increase. New Zealand’s now reporting more new cases adjusted for population than the United States, and identical numbers to the United Kingdom:

Elimination Through Vaccination

In the previously referenced interview, Fauci said that the most successful way to “eliminate” COVID was to reach extraordinary levels of vaccination uptake in the population.

While the Our World in Data download hasn’t been updated in the past week, over 88% of the population had received at least one vaccination dose in New Zealand by February 15th. 

The numbers are even more impressive when considering only those over 12 years of age. 95% of everyone over in that demographic has been at least partially vaccinated or booked their appointment. 94% are fully vaccinated:

Nearly 2.3 million people over 12 have been given boosters, roughly 53% of that entire population. 

Clearly those incredible rates of uptake must have been enough to maintain the “blanket of herd immunity” that Fauci claimed would be achievable with 75-85% of the population vaccinated.

Well. Not exactly. 

Hospitalizations have risen dramatically since January and continue to rise significantly each day. 

News reports from New Zealand sound like those from any generic location in the US where local doctors report concerns of hospitals being overwhelmed:

Authorities anticipate Omicron will become the predominant Covid-19 variant in New Zealand within just two to four weeks of it being introduced into the community – and hospitals are bracing to be “swamped”.

Dr John Bonning, a frontline emergency department doctor and immediate past president of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine, said EDs were already under “enormous duress”.

So their elimination strategy did not prevent a dramatic increase in cases, nor a concerning, overwhelming surge of hospitalizations. 

And deaths, while thankfully still low, have increased in recent months as well:

New Zealand’s supposed “elimination” through their zero COVID policy has completely collapsed. 

Mask mandates, as their own research indicated, have not prevented surges. Elimination until vaccination has not prevented surges. Zero COVID has been an unmitigated failure, as any rational person would have known and suggested as far back as summer 2020.

New Zealand High Court: Vaccine Mandate A Breach of Rights

The New Zealand High Court has upheld a challenge to a vaccine mandate for Police and Defence Force staff, stating that it was not a “demonstrably justified” breach of the Bill of Rights.

Justice Francis Cooke was asked by a group of Police and Defence Force personnel to judicially review the vaccine mandate enacted under the COVID-19 Public Health Response Act in December.

The mandate required all Defence Force personnel and all Police constables, recruits, and authorized officers to receive two doses of the vaccine by March 1.

But on Jan. 6, three unvaccinated staff who did not wish to receive the shots sought a judicial review of the mandate. They were supported by affidavits from 37 of their colleagues in the same position.

The group claims that two rights of the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act 1990 had been limited by the mandate: the right to refuse a medical treatment and the right to manifest religious beliefs.

Part of the group’s religious objections to the mandate were concerns over the fact that “the Pfizer vaccine had at some point been tested on cells that had been derived from a human foetus.”

According to UCLA Health, COVID-19 vaccines do not contain aborted fetal cells but Johnson & Johnson did use fetal cell lines when developing and producing their vaccine, and Pfizer and Moderna used them to test their vaccines to ensure they work.

The group claimed that “requiring vaccination by such a vaccine was in conflict with the religious beliefs of some of the affected persons.”

Cooke, in a judgment (pdf) released on Friday in New Zealand, did not accept some of the applicants’ arguments but agreed that the mandate “is not a reasonable limit on rights that can be demonstrably justified” and set the order aside.

“I conclude that the Order does not involve a reasonable limit on the applicants’ rights that can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society and that it is unlawful,” Cooke said.

“The order limits the right to be free to refuse medical treatment recognised by the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act (including because of its limitation on people’s right to remain employed), and it limits the right to manifest religious beliefs for those who decline to be vaccinated because the vaccine has been tested on cells derived from a human foetus which is contrary to their religious beliefs,” Cooke said.

As I never studied Reconstruction in school, I found this lecture particularly valuable.

After the 1864 election, Republicans controlled the House and Senate by large majorities. Although most northerners wanted to bring Union troops home, Republicans considered ongoing military occupation essential to protect former slaves and to prevent former secessionists from resuming power.[1] Following the ceasefire that officially ended the Civil War, riots occurred in Memphis, New Orleans and other cities in which police and other whites (in some cases led by the Ku Klux Klan [2]) brutally assaulted and killed former slaves and burned their homes.

Ayers credits the Freedmen’s Bureau (1865-1872) for the most significant benefits of Reconstruction. During its operation it started 3,000 public schools, as well as assisting both landowners and former slaves in negotiating contracts enabling the latter to work for wages as free laborers.

During the 1866 midterm elections, Democratic President Andrew Johnson undertook an extremely controversial campaign tour in which he (as a former slave owner) boasted about his vetoes of civil rights legislation, mass pardons of former Confederate officials and their return to high level offices in state and federal government. This strategy backfired, resulting in a ferocious popular backlash, as well as Republican gains in Congress, as well Republican victories in all governors races and Republican control of all state legislatures.

The 1866 Civil Rights Act was the first law to define US citizenship and to guarantee equal protection under the law for all citizens. Johnson vetoed it, and Congress overturned his veto for the first time in US history. In the same year, both houses of Congress also approved the 14th Amendment (ratified by states in July 1868). In addition to granting automatic citizenship to all US-born persons, it also granted equal protection to all citizens and voting rights to all male[3] citizens. This amendment also provided for states abridging these voting rights to experience a decrease in congressional representation.

In 1867, Congress passed the Military Reconstruction Act, which placed the states of the former Confederacy under military rule (except for Tennessee, the only southern state to ratify the 14th Amendment and be readmitted to the Union). To be reaccepted into the Union, the other former Confederate states had to rewrite their constitutions accepting the 14th Amendment.

Congress also gave itself the power to convene special sessions,[4] as well as passing the Tenure of Office Act. This law made it illegal for the president to fire federal officers confirmed by the Senate. In 1868, after Johnson fired the Secretary of War, he became the first president to be impeached (followed by his acquittal in the Senate).

Despite their new legal rights, the majority of former slaves struggled to make a living in the Reconstruction South. In 1870 the final four states (Virginia, Mississippi, Texas and Georgia) were readmitted to the Union. Troops remained in the South until 1874.

In 1869, Congress approved the 15th Amendment (ratified in 1870) which  prohibits the federal government and each state from denying or abridging a citizen’s right to vote “on account of race color or previous condition of servitude.” According to Ayers, the primary rationale for the amendment was the large number of northern voters who didn’t agree with Black suffrage.

[3] Suffragettes who had campaigned tirelessly for abolition were extremely angry when the 14th Amendment essentially denied them the right to vote.
