Trump’s Military Occupation of DC Crashes Into Reality—Literally

By Dan Friedman

Watch out, Chicago drivers.

A recent collision of a red-light-running, 14-ton, mine-resistant armored vehicle with an SUV on Capitol Hill isn’t the biggest news involving the federal takeover of Washington, DC, but it’s a tidy metaphor reflecting the counter-productive, heavily militarized, anti-crime display that President Donald Trump has embarked on, overriding Washington, DC’s, democracy in the process. And then on Friday, he threatened to repeat the effort in other locations, including the Windy City.

With no landmines or roadside bombs, Washington has no evident need for vehicles designed for those dangers. Nor has the city been “overtaken by violent gangs and bloodthirsty criminals,” as Trump said to justify his takeover of the police department and deployment of troops. But the president is nevertheless doubling down on the militarized occupation, and, as with the Capitol Hill incident, collateral damage is mounting.

The Army announced Thursday that the unidentified National Guardsman behind the wheel of the massive vehicle had already received a ticket for running a red light before the collision. The DC resident in the SUV, meanwhile, was reportedly trapped in their car and transported to a nearby hospital to treat a head laceration, which reportedly was not serious.

The military Joint Task Force overseeing troops in the District said after the incident that it “remains committed to the safety of our service members and the public.” But Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s order Friday for National Guard troops in the city to start carrying firearms, despite initial assurances they would be unarmed, struck many DC residents as further endangering their safety.

Vice President JD Vance, in a recent appearance at Union Station, said the train station needs National Guard protection against “vagrants,” “drug addicts,” “chronically homeless,” and “mentally ill” people. One DC resident posted a video Friday in which she described being sexually harassed while walking past Union Station, not by Vance’s “vagrants,” but by a Drug Enforcement agent.

Washington residents disagree with the White House. A Washington Post-Schar School poll released the same day found 79 percent of District residents oppose the takeover. Twenty-four percent called Trump’s occupation the city’s biggest problem, versus 22 percent who cited crime and violence as the top issue.

The White House has claimed arrests in DC are up since the takeover began, but they have refused to release detailed information backing those claims. And what data they have revealed suggests that arrests of undocumented immigrants, not violent criminals, account for the increase. The administration also asserts that the federal takeover has led to the dismantling of at least 48 homeless encampments, but lacking any plans for where the homeless will go, that effort appears to prioritize short-term aesthetics over longer-term solutions. Some tent-dwellers already appear to be returning to previously cleared areas.

Residents of varied ages and races, contrary to administration claims, have expressed their displeasure about having federal agents patrolling DC streets, most of them seemingly in areas heavy on tourists and nightlife, as opposed to violent crime. Confrontations between the residents and the agents can be tense.

“You come to our city and this is what you do?” a woman yelled at National Guard troops in a video that showed the aftermath of the Capitol Hill armored car crash. “Seriously?”

On Thursday in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood, where federal agents appear to have left a dildo in the place of an anti-ICE banner they purloined a week before, residents confronted and pursued three apparently off-duty federal agents, cursing at them and taunting them about the sex toy. “Did you forget your dildo?” the woman shooting the video repeatedly asked.

On Friday night on U Street, an area full of bars and restaurants, a large group of FBI and other federal agents took part in arresting a single man for publicly smoking marijuana, according to witnesses. (Possession of marijuana is legal in the District, though public consumption is not.)

“There’s so much other shit happening in this city, and you guys are arresting him for smoking weed?” an onlooker asks feds, who appear embarrassed, in a video posted by independent journalist Hannah Gais. “For weed!”

Such scenes reflect the reality of the model that Trump now says he plans to export to other big cities. He does not seem to understand that his authority in Washington, a federal city with limited home rule, does not extend elsewhere.

But he clearly hopes that his tough-on-crime pose is a political winner, or, at least, an easier topic than his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein or the slowing economy.

“I think Chicago will be our next,” Trump said from the Oval Office Friday, “and then we’ll help with New York.”

Officials there quickly pushed back. “Donald Trump’s threat to bring the National Guard to Chicago isn’t about safety—it’s a test of the limits of his power and a trial run for a police state,” Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker said in a post Friday. “Illinois has long worked with federal law enforcement to tackle crime, but we won’t let a dictator impose his will.”

As for DC, Trump said Friday that he intends to keep National Guard troops in town “as long as I want,” and threatened to fully take over governing the District—an act that would require congressional approval. DC Mayor Muriel Bowser “better get her act straight, ” Trump said, “or she won’t be mayor very long because we’ll take it over with the federal government running like it’s supposed to be run.”

DOJ Continues to Prevent Release of Seth Rich Records

By Joe Hoft

What is really going on?  Why is the DOJ still preventing the release of Seth Rich documents requested for nearly a decade?

It is believed that Seth Rich is a pivotal key to the Russia Collusion coup attempt of the first Trump Administration.

The Deep State DOJ and FBI have gone through extreme efforts to cover-up any information they have on Seth Rich.  Rich is who many believe transferred DNC emails to WikiLeaks during the 2016 election.  He was a Bernie fan who worked in the DNC at that time.  He was reportedly upset with what the DNC was doing to Bernie.  On July 10, 2016, Rich was found shot in the back due to what law enforcement labeled a burglary, and yet his wallet, phone, and watch were left on his person.  This is after WikiLeaks began dropping damaging DNC emails that showed the inner-workings of the Hillary campaign.

It is believed that Seth Rich forwarded those Podesta emails to WikiLeaks.  We all know now without a doubt that it is a lie to claim that the Russians were involved in the transfer of these emails.

Hillary wanted to deflect from her email scandal and what was in her emails.  She also wanted to punish whoever sent those emails to WikiLeaks.  This is why many believe Seth Rich was murdered.

Attorney Ty Clevenger for years has doggedly gone after information held by the Deep State FBI and DOJ that they refuse to release related to Seth Rich’s murder.  It is the law that documents related to Seth Rich be released per Clevenger’s requests but the Deep State DOJ keeps hiding these documents from the public.

Clevenger previously shared a potential reason why the Deep State won’t provide requested documents from the Seth Rich case.

We filed a motion today to compel the @FBI to search its “prohibited access” files and its previously-secret evidence room for records about Seth Rich. On May 29, 2025, Senate Judiciary Chairman @ChuckGrassley revealed that the FBI had been designating certain records “prohibited access” such that they would not appear during records searches. In other words, “prohibited access” files would have been hidden from FOIA requesters.

For the reasons set forth in the motion (URL below), there is good reason to believe Seth Rich and CrowdStrike records would have been designated “prohibited access.”

The day after Senator Grassley revealed the “prohibited access” feature, @FBIDDBongino revealed the existence of a previously-hidden evidence room at FBI headquarters, and he said records in that room had not been entered into FBI records systems. In other words, those records would also have been hidden from FOIA requesters.

We tried for six weeks to get some straight answers out of the FBI, but no luck. I wish Bongino and @FBIDirectorKash would pay attention to this case, which has been pending since 2020. If they won’t, then maybe Senator Grassley, @JamesComer, @RepMTG, @Jim_Jordan, @RepLuna, @RepThomasMassie, @DNIGabbard or @SpeakerJohnson will. According to Julian Assange, this goes to the heart of the Russia-collusion hoax. @wikileaks

http://lawflog.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/2025.07.18-Motion-for-Partial-MSJ-stamped.pdf

Per a document related to the Russia collusion lie, Hillary Clinton approved the Russia Collusion lie on July 26, 2016, barely two weeks after Seth Rich’s murder.

[…]

After nearly a decade, they just refuse to provide any documentation.

The @FBI is searching for Seth Rich records in the “secret” evidence room disclosed by @FBIDDBongino, according to a sworn declaration filed today. That’s the same place where the appendix to the Durham report was found in a burn bag.

In the same declaration, the FBI claims that “prohibited access” files would have shown up during the original records search because FOIA personnel are NOT blocked from seeing such files. That’s strange.

@ChuckGrassley expressed concern that the FBI’s own internal investigators could not see “prohibited access” files — potentially interfering with Congressional oversight — so why would low-level records clerks have blanket access when investigators do not? Maybe @GOBactual, @RealStevefriend, @PhillipAKenn, or @FXRegan have some insight.

BTW, why couldn’t the FBI just answer our questions instead of making us file a motion for partial summary judgment? A URL for the declaration is below, and a URL for the FBI’s response to our motion is below that.

Poland May Stop Paying for Ukraine’s Starlink Terminals – Musk’s Satellite Internet Only Connectivity for Kiev’s Troops

By Paul Serran

Will Poland ‘pull the plug’ on Ukraine’s Starlink?

Poland has been a lifeline to Ukraine during the ongoing war: sending money, hosting the sites where most of the military aid from other countries is stored before it is sent to the war-torn neighbor.

Warsaw government also has welcomed more than a million Ukrainian refugees, extending to them access to social benefits.

But there’s a thorn in the side of this relationship: the WW2 massacre of 100,000 Poles by the Ukrainian Nazi-allied forces of Stephan Bandera, who is presently Kiev’s national hero.

Just two weeks ago, Poland expelled 57 Ukrainians for Displaying Nazi Flag During Concert Riot, which exposed the ongoing crisis between the countries.

Now, against the backdrop of the dispute between conservative President Karol Nawrocki and the Liberal-Globalist Prime Minister Donald Tusk, decisions are being taken in Poland that will deeply affect not only the bilateral relations, but the course of Ukraine’s war against Russia.

A report arises today that Ukraine’s access to Elon Musk’s satellite internet service Starlink could be cut due to the Polish president’s veto of a refugee aid bill.

It is widely known that Poland pays for the Starlink terminals in Ukraine, securing the only internet connectivity to the country and its military in the middle of the war with Russia.

Kiev slams Woody Allen over Moscow movie fest

RT

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has blasted US filmmaker Woody Allen for participating in a Russian cinema event, calling his involvement an insult to Ukrainian movie professionals.

The 89-year-old film director appeared via videolink on Sunday at the Moscow International Film Week, where he spoke about his career and ties to Russia.

Kiev condemned the participation, describing it on Monday as “a disgrace and an insult to the sacrifice of Ukrainian actors and filmmakers” affected by the conflict. The ministry said Allen’s remarks amounted to ignoring what it alleged to be Russian crimes over the past decade.

Later on Monday, the Maria Zankovetska Lviv National Academic Theatre announced it was scrapping its upcoming performances of Allen’s stage musical ‘Bullets Over Broadway,’ which had been set to take place on August 28-29. In a post on its official Facebook page, the theatre said the show “will not take place” and will be replaced in the schedule. Management condemned Allen’s appearance at the Moscow film event, stressing that while the Lviv production draws on the screenplay of his 1994 film, it is not the original work but an adaptation by a group of writers and producers. “However, we have decided not to stage the musical without comment from the rights holders,” the statement said.

Kiev and its Western backers have also sought to isolate Russia on multiple fronts, including by discouraging participation in local cultural events. They claimed such involvement served to support Moscow’s actions. The campaign has largely failed.

Since taking office in January, US President Donald Trump has effectively abandoned efforts launched under his predecessor to marginalize Russia. Instead, his administration is focused on seeking a resolution to the Ukraine conflict and normalizing relations with Moscow.

American Egregore Redux – Trump’s Meeting with Putin

By Dmitry Orlov

The significance of the meeting that recently took place between Trump, Putin and their respective retinues on a US military base near Anchorage, Alaska, is not what it seemed. To contradict a commonly espoused opinion, it had precious little to do with Russia’s Special Military Operation to demilitarize and denazify the former Ukraine — that’s being adequately handled by the Russian army and no help from the US or its European lackeys is needed.

Rather, what took place in Alaska was an attempt at a transfusion of psychic energy from Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, Russia’s leader for the last quarter of a century and standing alongside such great Russian leaders as Peter I (the Great), Ivan IV (the Awesome) and Joseph Stalin. Putin is not just respected and admired but loved by his people and his approval rating hovers around the 80% mark — something that is utterly unattainable for all Western leaders. The egregore of Russia’s rulers, which has been alive, though not always well, for a thousand years, is alive and well now, perhaps the strongest it has ever been, embodied in the person of Vladimir Putin.

The egregore of the American president, on the other hand, is alive but quite far from well and fading fast. Not only is it weak, but it is being sucked dry by psychic energy leaches from the EU, NATO, the US deep state, the Zionist lobby and a wide assortment of other mental parasites. And so, in the interest of easing world tensions, Putin made a gracious offer to Trump to stand together, shake hands and have a friendly meeting where nothing was decided and no deals were signed, but a few possibly good ideas were floated in confidence. What Trump achieved along the way is a transfusion of psychic energy from Putin, his egregore gaining strength by the sheer fact of the two of them standing together at a symbolic altar on which was spelled “Alaska 2025” in huge letters. But the effect was fleeting and Trump’s nostalgic fondling of the photo from that event (while bragging about it) is not going to change the fact that the American egregore is fading away and that with it Pax Americana is disappearing and being replaced by a gradually developing Pax Russica.

I will discuss the details of this process in my next article. For now, here is a rerun of an oft-requested article from a year ago in which I delve into the nature of egregores and the American egregore specifically. This is important background material that needs to be understood before we can move forward.

Most of humanity is unconscious of the fact that they live and move in a world of phantasmagoria, in which their sense of national identity, the laws which they have internalized and by which they live and even the words they use to describe themselves are determined to a rather surprising extent not by any rational consideration but by the results of magic rituals that were first performed in the dim past and which continue to be performed today. Although we wish to see ourselves as fully rational and motivated by calculations of self-interest and by conceptions of individual and public good, it is rather hard to deny that what we regularly confront is various forms of group psychosis: obsessions, fixations, infatuations, emotional attachments, devotions… fanaticism. To deny that such powerful forces do exist is to deny human nature — in turn, to deny reality. The hardcore skeptical empiricist, it turns out, is driving blindfolded — unable to see the invisible yet important psychological lay of the land. And while the refusal to properly perceive and address matters of individual psychology mostly gives rise to personal failings and minor tragedies, such willful blindness with regard to group psychology can lead to arbitrarily horrible outcomes.purifying force. This is why books are burned rather than composted, used as mulch or fed to goats, and why witches are traditionally burned at the stake. Since egregores tend to become attached to certain buildings and sites, these have to be thoroughly demolished, leaving no stone upon a stone: “And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? Verily I say unto you, there shall not be here left a stone upon a stone, that shall not be cast down.” (Matthew 24:2)

[Hat tip to Mark Stavish for the many insights from his book “Egregores”.]

Over 1.5 Million People Who Reported COVID Vaccine Injuries Shut Out From Applying for Compensation

covid vaccine bottle and word by Ray L. Flores II, Esq.Suzanne Burdick, Ph.D.August 21, 2025

The little-known federal program that provides compensation for injuries or death related to COVID-19 vaccines fails to accept applications from people who suffer the most common injuries. Of those who can submit a claim, the odds are slim that they will be compensated quickly, sufficiently, or at all.

Over 1.5 million people who reported a COVID-19 vaccine injury to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) cannot even apply for compensation from the government program that covers COVID-19 vaccine injuries — that’s because the program covers only death or “serious physical injury.”

According to the government’s definition of “serious physical injury,” the injury must either be “life-threatening,” result in “permanent impairment of a body function or permanent damage to a body structure,” or require “medical or surgical intervention to preclude permanent impairment of a body function or permanent damage to a body structure.”

According to OpenVAERS, there are over 1.5 million people who suffered injuries that weren’t life-threatening and were not life-ending. These individuals are shut out of the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP).

Injuries such as chronic headache, chest pain, digestive issues, dizziness, fatigue, nausea and rapid heartbeat are not serious enough to qualify for compensation since CICP only provides “compensation to an eligible individual for a covered injury — as in, serious injury or death.”

COVID-19 shots were classified as “countermeasures” during the COVID-19 pandemic, which means they are governed under the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act.

The PREP Act grants blanket liability protection to COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers for nearly every type of injury caused by the vaccines.

Instead, the injured must submit a claim to the little-known CICP within one year of injury. CICP is the federal program that “provides compensation for covered serious injuries or deaths that occur as the result of the administration or use of certain countermeasures,” including COVID-19 vaccines.

‘I will be dead by the time they compensate people’

Even for those whose injuries meet the criteria for submitting a claim to CICP, the odds are slim that they will be compensated quickly, sufficiently, or at all.

As of June 1, CICP had received 13,836 COVID-19 vaccine injury claims and had compensated only 39 — less than 0.3%.

CICP isn’t keeping up with the number of claims, according to its website. As of June 1, the program had yet to review or was still reviewing 9,423 of the nearly 14,000 claims submitted since the start of the pandemic.

Among those is Doug Cameron, an Idaho man who received a COVID-19 vaccine when his employer “strongly implied” he should get the shot. Ten days later, he was permanently paralyzed from a blood clot. He filed a CICP claim in 2022.

In a November 2024 interview with The Defender, Cameron’s wife said that every time she calls to check on their claim, she is told, “Yeah, it’s still sitting on somebody’s desk for medical review.”

That is still the case today, Cameron told The Defender. “No word. I will be dead by the time they compensate people,” he said.

Cameron’s injury resulted in about $2 million in medical expenses.

For those few compensated by CICP, the payouts likely didn’t cover their medical expenses. The median payout was $4,182. Due to two anomalous payments, the average payout was just over $80,000.

In 2022, React19, whose mission is to support the COVID-19 vaccine-injured, launched React19 Care Fund to provide financial help for medical treatments and therapies for people injured by the shots.

Cameron hasn’t applied for a grant. “Other people need the money more than I do,” he said.

In January, the nonprofit surpassed $1 million in its latest round of grants. “To date, we have given out $1,292,169.79 to 175 recipients,” React19 Co-Chairman Joel Wallskog told The Defender in an email.

Wallskog, an orthopedic surgeon who was injured by Moderna’s shot, said he applied to CICP in early to mid-2021. “It took me 18 months to receive my denial,” he said.

Wallskog immediately appealed. “It took about 14 months after submitting the appeal to get denied again,” he said.

How can the government fix this?

Former U.S. Health Secretary Xavier Becerra declared the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency on May 11, 2023.

However, before he left office, Becerra extended legal protections for COVID-19 countermeasures until Dec. 31, 2029. “The end of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Declaration does not automatically terminate PREP Act coverage,” according to HHS’ website on the PREP Act.

U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. now has sole discretion to end the public health emergency protections for COVID-19 countermeasures. If he were to do so, it’s unclear how COVID-19 vaccine injuries would be handled.

There is evidence that Kennedy may try to address COVID-19 vaccine injuries using a different federal program, the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP), which was established by the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986.

VICP is used for vaccines routinely recommended for children.

In June, Kennedy said in an interview with Tucker Carlson that he plans to beef up the government’s compensation efforts for the COVID-19 vaccine-injured by making vast changes to the VICP.

“We just brought a guy in this week who is going to be revolutionizing the [National] Vaccine Injury Compensation program,” Kennedy told Carlson.

“We’re looking at ways to enlarge the program so that COVID vaccine-injured people can be compensated … we’re looking at ways to enlarge the statute of limitations,” which is currently limited to three years.

“A lot of people don’t discover their injuries till after that,” Kennedy said.

The program has other flaws, Kennedy added, including that it has no discovery process, no rules of evidence and historically had corrupt leadership. “We’re going to change all that. I’ve brought in a team this week that is starting to work on that.”

The Defender asked HHS if the agency plans to end PREP Act coverage for COVID-19 countermeasures before the end of 2029, and also if, when or how the agency planned to transition COVID-19 vaccine injury claims from CICP to VICP.

An HHS spokesperson said the agency “does not comment on future or potential policy decisions.”

If COVID-19 vaccine injuries were handled by VICP, it’s unclear how the program would fund those claims.

The VICP gets its funds from a $.75 excise tax on vaccines that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends for routine administration to children, but COVID-19 shots have never been subject to that tax under federal law.

Congress must repeal the PREP Act

Even if COVID-19 vaccines are no longer covered by the PREP Act, other vaccines are, and others may be in the future.

Currently, diseases that have been declared public health emergencies covered by the PREP Act include mpox, pandemic influenza, anthrax and Zika. If vaccines were mandated to fight these diseases, those injured by the shots could face the same fate as those injured by COVID-19 vaccines.

Congress must act to repeal the PREP Act, said Children’s Health Defense’s CEO Mary Holland in a recent letter to Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.). Holland wrote:

“There are rumblings, and even more alarmingly, government assurances that new pandemics are on the horizon.

“The PREP Act keeps drugs, tests, injections, and other covered countermeasures from having to navigate the free market. Ignoring safety is endemic during a pandemic, especially when there is no downstream liability for manufacturers.”

On July 15, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) introduced a bill to repeal the PREP Act.

According to a press release, the proposed legislation:

Fully repeals the liability shields and compensation fund provisions under the PREP Act.Restores civil remedy rights under federal and state law for those harmed by pandemic products.Ensures applicability to current and future lawsuits, including pending appeals.Rescinds unused federal funds set aside for PREP Act-related injury claims.

The bill has yet to go up for a vote.

In June 2024, Moms for America and individual plaintiffs who were injured by a COVID-19 vaccine, or whose loved one suffered injury or death from a COVID-19 vaccine, sued HHS, Becerra and then-President Joe Biden in a bid to strike down the PREP Act.

The lawsuit alleges that the act violates the U.S. Constitution. The courts have yet to rule on HHS’s motion to dismiss.

Exact number of COVID vaccine-injured difficult to pin down

Estimating the true number of people injured by the COVID-19 vaccines is difficult since VAERS, co-managed by the CDC and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, is “passive,” meaning it relies on people who believe they were injured to submit a report.

The reports require verification before they can be confirmed as vaccine-related injuries or deaths.

Anyone — including a vaccine manufacturer outside the U.S. — can file a VAERS report.

For instance, although 1,665,735 reports following a COVID-19 vaccination have been filed as of July 25, that number includes foreign reports, meaning those filed outside the U.S., according to OpenVAERS, a private organization that posts VAERS data.

A search for non-foreign reports shows a count of 1,026,503. Using this figure, the number of COVID-19 injuries that weren’t life-threatening or didn’t result in permanent disability or death is just under a million.

However, VAERS has historically been shown to report only 1% of actual vaccine adverse events.

All figures in this article are based on the best available information and do not account for any duplicate reporting or underreporting.

Israel pounds Gaza City outskirts as army warns demolition could take ‘over a year’

Hamas accepts ceasefire proposal as Trump backs Israeli plans to occupy Gaza Hamas accepts ceasefire proposal as Trump backs Israeli plans to occupy Gaza

Israeli jets and tanks struck the outskirts of Gaza City on Sunday in preparation for a major assault, as the Israeli military’s chief of staff warned officials in Tel Aviv that carrying out the order to demolish the city of 700,000 residents could take “over a year” and place additional strain on Israeli troops.

According to a report by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz on Sunday, Eyal Zamir issued the warning following an ultimatum from Israeli minister of military affairs Israel Katz to the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, threatening that if the terms set by Israel to end the war were not accepted, Gaza City could face a fate similar to the cities of Rafah and Beit Hanoun.

The report went on to say that Zamir has informed Israeli officials that in such a scenario, they would encounter a more critical situation with reserve units, which are already grappling with decreasing turnout rates and low morale.

Zamir, who has previously clashed with Israeli officials regarding the occupation plan for Gaza City and the threat it poses to the captives, said that the offensive can only begin after all necessary operational and legal preparations are in place, despite Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s insistence on expediting the assault on Gaza City.

As of now, no “humanitarian zones”, as demanded by Zamir, have been established, and there have been instances in the past where such zones, designated as “safe” areas, came under Israeli bombardment during the war.

Israeli military sources have indicated that the evacuation of the southern Gaza city of Rafah took two weeks, and it is estimated that evacuating Gaza City, home to approximately 1.2 million people, will take even longer.

According to the report, the military’s plan outlines that the Gaza City operation would be halted if Israel and Hamas can reach a ceasefire agreement.

The military is prioritizing negotiations to release captives before considering any assault, the report said.

The offensive comes even though Hamas has accepted a 60-day ceasefire proposal, involving the release of half of the captives in Gaza in exchange for a number of Palestinian prisoners, following negotiations with Egyptian and Qatari officials in Cairo.

Despite this, Israel is determined to proceed with the occupation of Gaza City.

Meanwhile, witnesses have reported continuous explosions and shelling in various areas of Gaza City, with Israeli forces targeting buildings and homes.

The Israeli military has stated that its recent combat activities in the Jabalia area are aimed at dismantling Hamas tunnels and strengthening control of the region, in order to prevent further operations by Hamas fighters.

In a statement, Hamas declared that Israel’s plans to take over Gaza City demonstrate a lack of seriousness about achieving a ceasefire, emphasizing that a ceasefire agreement is crucial for the return of the Israeli captives and holding Netanyahu accountable for their safety.

The Israeli regime’s bloody onslaught on Gaza has killed more than 62,000 Palestinians and injured 156,230 others, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.

Since March 2, when it violated its ceasefire agreement with Hamas, the regime has sealed all border crossings, blocking the entry of humanitarian aid and further deepening Gaza’s already dire humanitarian crisis.

Israel bombs Yemeni capital, killing two in strike on power station

Yemeni ballistic missile, armed drones zoom past Israeli interception systems, strike critical targets Yemeni hypersonic missile

Press TV

Israel has carried out deadly airstrikes on the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, killing at least two people and wounding five others, according to Yemeni officials.

The strikes on Sunday hit the Hazeiz power station and a civilian fuel facility, Al Masirah TV reported, plunging parts of the capital into darkness.

Footage posted online showed plumes of smoke and fire rising above the city after the bombardment.

Israel claimed it also targeted the presidential palace in Sana’a, describing it as part of a “military complex.”

Yemen’s Ansarallah resistance movement condemned the attack as a “heinous war crime” and a blatant violation of the country’s sovereignty.

In a statement, it said Israel had deliberately struck civilian infrastructure “to paralyze daily life, disrupt citizens’ livelihoods, and create a fake victory through rising columns of smoke.”

“This blatant aggression, backed by the Americans, proves the Zionist enemy is waging an open war against the Arab and Islamic nation,” Ansarullah added.

It further said that the attacks “will not deter the Yemeni people from their full and absolute support for Gaza.”

“The Israeli aggression against Yemen will not discourage us from continuing our support for Gaza, no matter the sacrifices,” said senior Houthi official Mohammed al-Bukhaiti.

Israel has repeatedly bombed Yemeni infrastructure in recent weeks, including ports and power stations.

Sunday’s airstrikes came just two days after Yemen’s Armed Forces fired a hypersonic missile and several drones that bypassed Israel’s defense systems and struck critical targets inside the occupied territories.

Since Israel launched its genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023, Yemeni forces have carried out scores of retaliatory attacks in solidarity with Palestinians, vowing they will not stop until the war and blockade on the besieged strip end.

Lavrov: Russia Not Interested in Territory

Territory is not what Russia is interested in – LavrovRussian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. ©  Sputnik/Maxim Blinov

Russia has no interest in seizing Ukrainian land but wants to protect ethnic Russians and Russian-speaking people from persecution by Kiev, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said.

In an interview with NBC on Sunday, Lavrov was asked whether halting Moscow’s military offensive was the only concession it was prepared to make.

”We don’t have any interest in territories. We have the biggest territory on Earth,” Lavrov said. “What we are concerned about… is the people who live on those lands, whose ancestors lived there for centuries.”

Lavrov said Moscow’s goal is “to remove any security threats to Russia coming from Ukrainian territory” as well as “to protect the rights of the ethnic Russian and Russian-speaking people who believe they belong to Russian culture and Russian history.”

“The only way to protect them against this Nazi regime is to give them the right to express their will,” he stressed.

Lavrov went on to underscore that “Ukraine has the right to exist,” but it should be ready to “let people go.” He noted, however, that Ukrainian officials have consistently sought to dehumanize and portray as “terrorists” people in its five former regions that voted to join Russia in 2014 and 2022.

Since the Western-backed armed coup in Kiev in 2014, Ukraine has moved to sever centuries-long ties with Russia and introduced restrictions on the Russian language in the media. It has also sought to phase out Russian in schools, and impose broader curbs on its use in social life.

Kiev has also embarked on a campaign to eliminate cultural ties with Moscow, particularly through its controversial decommunization campaign, which involved renaming cities, streets, and landmarks that bore Soviet-era or Russian-linked names.

Abort Me Not: The battle over abortion in the US

RT (2023)

Film Review

https://odysee.com/@RTDocumentary:4/

This documentary was filmed after the Supreme Court reversed Roe v Wade and features former CIA operative and whistleblower John Kiriakou as narrator. Roe v Wade was overturned in June 2022, the Supreme Court ruling 6 to 3 that the US Constitute does not guarantee US citizens’ right to privacy. With this verdict, the court simultaneously overturned US citizens’ right engage in sodomy or interracial marriage or undergo abortion. This means individual states now have the right to reinstate both anti-sodomy, anti-miscegenation and antiabortion laws.

As in the RT documentary produced a year earlier, the filmmaker record both pro and anti-abortion protests and interview participants. The anti-abortion protestors view pregnancy termination as murder of an unborn child. Supposed based on the view that life begins at conception, this argument doesn’t explain why most anti-abortion protestors also want to make contraception illegal.

A number of anti-abortion protestors reportedly base their opposition on concerns about the falling Caucasian birth rate (in contrast to rising African American and Latino birthrates). Ironically, however, most of the women charged under new abortion laws are women of color without access to health care and birth control services most white women enjoy.

Following the Supreme Court decision, 34 states have outlawed abortion but only a few have outlawed sodomy and interracial marriage.

Abortion in Russia is legal as an elective procedure up to the 12th week of pregnancy and in special circumstances at later stages. In 2009, Russia reported 1.2 million abortions, out of a population of 143 million people. In 2020, Russia had decreased its number of abortions to 450 thousand. Following the takeover of Russia by the Bolsheviks, in 1920 the Russian Soviet Republic under Vladimir Lenin became the first country in the world to allow abortion in all circumstances.
