"View from atop the mast of the private yacht Freydis as it passes by a sunken three-seat Japanese float plane from WW2, said to have been sunk by American aircraft while anchored in the Shortland group of the Solomon Islands." (via)

A great photo, but just leaving the ID as "three-seat Japanese float plane" is not acceptable here. the chaps at the WIX forum investigated further..

Here's a last minute reminder for all of you to come to Maker Faire New York this weekend. In addition to all of the other great content, the following fantastic bands and musicians have been lined up to provide live entertainment:

GLANK, Electric Junkyard Gamelan, Burnkit2600, Kelvin Daly, FreebassBK, Helmsman Pete, Sxip Shirey, Todd Reynolds, Radio Wonderland, Alyson Greenfield, Higher Levin, Phat Man Dee

This will be the first time all of these acts are playing Maker Faire New York. They'll be on the faire grounds, on the stage opposite the mouse trap installation, in Zone D next to the beer garden. You can find the event schedule for the music acts here: http://makerfaire.com/newyork/2011/schedule/location/?mfl=263

Also, this Friday stay glued to the following Twitter for details on how to win free tickets to Maker Faire this weekend: http://twitter.com/#!/gemini_scorpio
