Jessica Biel as Wing Commander Elizabeth "Lucky Lizzy" Steele.
So I've had a number of people ask me what actors I would cast to play the characters in a film version of Blood In The Skies. In fact, I did have certain actors in mind when I wrote some of the characters, and as I've thought about it others match up quite well. So here we go. Ask and you shall receive:
We start with the protagonist, Wing Commander Steele. Steele is a tough, independent woman with tremendous energy, courage, and skill, just the sort of person you would expect to find dogfighting in the pages of a pulp adventure. I can think of no better person to portray her than Jessica Biel. I've been extremely fond of Biel ever since seeing the range of her acting talents in The Illusionist, and her appearance as Larita Whittaker in Easy Virtue is almost spot on Steele.
