Bravo for Trump’s Climate Haymaker

Who would have thunk it? The most statist GOP President of modern times—-and he’s got considerable company—-just delivered one of the greatest blows to statism ever.

We have welcomed the Donald all along as the Great Disrupter, but yesterday’s Rose Garden haymaker was above and beyond the call of duty. It was vintage Trump—no double-talking mainstream speech-crafter slipped in even a hint of equivocation. Not a single olive branch of accommodation was offered to the ruling elites anywhere on...

The Putin Interviews

Just hours after Megyn Kelly announced on NBC’s Today show that she would be interviewing Vladimir Putin in St Petersburg tomorrow at the International Economic Forum, Showtime released the first trailer and extended clip for The Putin Interviews, a sit-down with the Russian president conducted by the film-maker Oliver Stone for a four-part special that premieres on 12 June.

In the extended clip released on Thursday, The Guardian reports Stone and Putin can be seen driving in a car with an E...

New World Order Can Be Crumbled

If Trump sticks to his plan to withdraw from the Paris Agreement, that affects the world’s political system. The U.S. is a superpower through agreements, alliances, commitments, arrangements, programs, treaties and other such institutions that connect it to other states that it designates as friends, allies and partners. However, the U.S. government tends to play the role of the superpower in an all or none way. It views a foreign state as either a friend or an enemy. It is either with the U....

Thank Goodness for Donald Trump

Thank God for Donald Trump, at least as far as the Paris Climate Change Agreement is concerned. The president of the “deplorables” (not of those living on the east or west coasts, nor the media, nor academia, nor Hollywood, nor the clergy) pulled out of this cesspool in France. Good for him. In the 1970s, the greeno-pinko environmental movement bruited it about that we were in the midst of global cooling and more of this would take place, until our rear ends would be frozen off. Guess whose f...

The Evil Zuckerberg

Justin’s note: It’s time for a universal basic income (UBI).

At least, that’s what Mark Zuckerberg thinks.

Zuckerberg is the founder and CEO of social media giant Facebook. Last week, he spoke in favor of a universal basic income while delivering the commencement speech at Harvard’s graduation ceremony.

According to Zuckerberg, this generation owes a UBI to society:

Every generation expands its definition of equality, now it’s time for our generation to define a new social contract. We should...

Anti-Russian Sanctions Backfired

The sanctions regime has given a big boost to the Russian economy, especially in agriculture. It is a very, very strong growth industry right now. It pushed the Russians together with the Asians, investor and financial commentator Jim Rogers told RT.

Investors worth around $11 trillion have assembled at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum to discuss the prospects for the world economy, as well as hoping to make some lucrative deals on the side.

RT:  Many financial analysts say the...

Pigs at the Trough

I was thinking about writing a post containing the list of CEOs of major US corporations who have come out against Trump’s decision regarding the Paris Climate Accord.  I am overwhelmed.  I would make my life easier by writing a list of those who haven’t.

I cannot let it go unsaid regarding one of these: Elon Musk.  It is really hilarious to consider that he has no company without the government’s involvement in the climate.

None of these CEOs is a climate expert; all of them publicly complai...

11 Ways To Protect Your Home

If you’re like most homeowners, you know you should protect your house against weather extremes. But the best time to prep is before things get bad—that means getting to work when your weather is still (relatively) mild. Here’s the year-round list of everything you should do—and when.

1. Insulate—against heat.Insulation is probably the first thing that springs to mind when you think of winter, but it’s equally important in summer (or year-round, if you live in hot, sunny areas of the country,...

5 Facts That Prove a Western Liberal/Jihadist Alliance

The internet is full of theories about just who controls ISIS and like-minded groups and why. Many are based only on circumstantial evidence though others do have some merit. Many more are outlandish however well meaning and some are just nonsense.

But one needn’t turn to conspiracy theories in order to prove a deeply frightening link between neo-liberal western elites and ISIS. The facts are widely available and many are well known, though hardly ever discussed in western mainstream media.
