The Bilderberg 2017 Agenda
Every year, the world’s richest and most powerful business executives, bankers, media heads and politicians sit down in some luxurious and heavily guarded venue, and discuss how to shape the world in a way that maximizes profits for all involved, while perpetuating a status quo that has been highly beneficial for a select few, even if it means the ongoing destruction of the middle class. We are talking, of course, about the annual, and always secretive, Bilderberg meeting.
And just like last...
White House Trouble
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Trump’s son-in-law and policy advisor Jared Kushner, a globalist with leftist learnings, has hired Jamie Gorelick as his attorney in the Democrat’s “Russian collusion” witch hunt.
Remarkably, positioning Gorelick at the heart of the Trump administration counter-attack to the Democratic Party’s no-evidence “Russian Collusion” meme is tantamount to installing a direct line to the Clinton home in Chappaqua, N.Y., making leaking to Bill and Hillary a matter of lawyer-client pri...
Is Afghanistan a Lost Cause?
“We are there and we are committed” was the regular retort of Secretary of State Dean Rusk during the war in Vietnam.
Whatever you may think of our decision to go in, Rusk was saying, if we walk away, the United States loses the first war in its history, with all that means for Southeast Asia and America’s position in the world.
We face a similar moment of decision.
Wednesday, a truck bomb exploded near the diplomatic quarter of Kabul, killing 90 and wounding 460. So terrible was the atrocity...
Think Your Doggie Door Is Safe?
An Ohio homeowner didn’t hesitate to put three bullets into the man who broke into his house early Monday morning.
According to Lt. Eric Lachey from the Miami County Sheriff’s Office, police received a call at around 5 a.m. from a woman who believed someone has broken into her home. During the call, the woman’s husband went into their garage to check things out and was confronted by the burglar.
Thankfully, the woman’s husband reacted quickly. He shot the intruder three times; once in the han...
A Pat on His Orange Head
At last, something.
Trump “pulled out” of the Paris Climate Change Agreement – agreed to by his predecessor back in 2015 and awaiting a majoritarian 55 of the earth’s nations to agree before it becomes binding within those countries.
That is to say upon the people within those countries – who had no say in the matter whatsoever beyond the gauzy connection between a Dear Leader, who may have received the electoral support of a minority of the citizenry at some distant election, claiming to “re...
Europe vs. Trump
Germany: ‘bad, very bad.’ Trump tweet.
France’s brainy new president, Emmanuel Macron, said it was too bad that Donald Trump was not part of the Enlightenment. Few Americans would have understood what he meant but Europeans certainly did.
The Enlightenment was the glorious epoch in the mid-1700 and 1800’s that gave birth to modern science, philosophy, reason, and literature. Among its notables were Voltaire, Rousseau, Kant, Diderot, Hume, and Adam Smith and Benjamin Franklin.
This was by far...
Honoring Soldiers of the Exceptional Nation
Apparently I have missed Memorial Day by being on the road in Guanajuato. I gather I should have thanked Our Boys for their service to the exceptional nation. I will pass. My tolerance for nauseating twaddle has diminished with the years.
To begin with, “Our Boys,” so affectionately denominated, are not our boys but suckers of the ruling rich. Think not? Think again. Ending the draft protected the sons of the well-off from military service and the military from anti-war movements. If you draf...

When the Alleged Fix Increases Systemic Fragility
All the “fixes” have fatally weakened the real economy, and created a dangerous illusion of “wealth,” “growth” and solvency.
The “fix” of the last eight years worked, right? This was the status quo’s “fix”:
1. Massive expansion of debt: sovereign, household and corporate, all in service of a) bringing consumer demand forward b) fiscal stimulus funded by debt c) corporate stock buybacks to boost stock valuations d) asset bubbles in real estate, bonds, stocks, bat guano futures, etc.
2. Monetar...
America’s Iran Hysteria
“Everywhere you look, if there is trouble in the region,” Secretary of Defense James Mattis told reporters on a mid-April visit to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, “you find Iran.”
I must admit that when I stumbled across that quote it brought up uncomfortable personal memories.
East Baghdad, January 25, 2007: my patrol had missed a turn and so we swung onto the next grimy avenue instead. As platoon leader, I rode shotgun in the second of our four vehicles, yakking away on the radio. The ensuing explo...
Radical Decentralization, Not Universalism
Conservatives and progressives alike spent the 20th century arguing for universal political principles. But the world is not so malleable; even in a hyper-connected digital age elites struggle to maintain support for globalism against a tide of nationalist, populist, and breakaway movements. Libertarians should embrace this reality and reject universalism for the morally and tactically superior vision of radical self-determination.
For decades we’ve been conditioned to believe the world is ge...
