Trump’s Great Purge
There is much President Trump does not understand about the outside world. High up on the list is the crucial importance of US trade policy in creating and sustaining the American Empire.
The key to the post-World War II US imperium was granting other nations commercial access to the huge, vibrant American domestic market. This, as much as the highly successful Marshall Plan in Europe, was responsible for stabilizing the world economy and extending US geopolitical power across much of the g...
The Enemies of Freedom
That’s nothing new, of course. It began with our first issue in 1999, and has gotten more intense ever since. Just recently, the despicable NY Times, Washington Post, and National Review have vented their spleens once again.
You’d think big, establishment organs like the two newspapers wouldn’t care. But they do. LRC drives them crazy (crazier?). They can’t stand the truth, especially as enunciated by Murray Rothbard and Rothbardians.
Murray has more and more influence. Both NyTi and WaPo ar...

Forced To Suffer a Flu Vaccination
A mother went blind in one eye and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis just weeks after getting the flu shot, she has claimed.
Jennifer Whitney, from Mukilteo, Washington, had the vaccine due to the insistence of her boss – despite being concerned about any side effects.
However, the same boss was forced to ‘let her go’ because she ended up taking too much time off to cope with the repercussions of the shot.
Tests revealed she had developed multiple sclerosis, which has no cure, and she was...
Had a Bad Experience at the Car Finance Office?
[Editor’s note: This article has been updated with new information and for comprehensiveness since its original posting date.]
Lots of people will be entering the finance office of a car dealership in the coming days, since we are here at the end of the month and year, also the busiest week of the year. The finance office can be a scary place for many people, but there really is nothing to fear if you take your time and pay attention.

US Fiscal Path Will Rattle the Rafters
As we’ve reported, the US government is spending money like a drunken sailor. But nobody really seems to care.
Since Nov. 8, the US national debt has risen $1 trillion. Meanwhile, the Russell 2000 (a small-cap stock market index) has risen by 30%. Former Reagan budget director David Stockman said this makes no sense in a rational world, and he thinks the FY 2019 is going to sink the casino.
In a rational world operating with honest financial markets those two results would not be found in eve...
The US Is Blatantly Telling Lies
It’s no secret that the Trump administration has a strong distaste for Iran. Iran is one of the only issues on which the U.S. president has remained relatively consistent. Trump berated the country both before and after taking office.
However, Trump’s anti-Iran strategy goes against the better judgment of even the most anti-Iranian advisors in his staff who don’t want to see the U.S. isolated on the world stage. Fortunately for Trump, however, he is not alone in his bid to isolate and demoniz...
Political Correctness and the Destruction of Social Order
Understanding today’s political trends has become a challenging undertaking. Invoking Freudian psychology will strike some as not the most promising method. But Howard Schwartz has written a book of considerable importance and depth, where he endeavors—convincingly and without psychobabble—to explain the roots of “political correctness” in terms of how we connect at a young age with our respective parents and what happens when this development is altered, arrested, distorted, and manipulated...
Meet the ‘Armani of Armor’
In the early 1990s, Colombia was locked in a brutal drug war, led by Pablo Escobar, that saw homicide rates in Medellin surge over 8x in a matter of just a few years…
…and it was that surging violence that first prompted Miguel Caballero to start his line of bulletproof clothing some 25 years ago.
Now, as Racked points out today, with violent crime in Colombia back to levels not seen since at least the 70s, Caballero is looking to bring his bulletproof fashions to the United States where he’...
Trump Foreign Policy
The end of the year is full of goodies. I watched with glee the 128 to 9 vote at the United Nations condemning the Trump Administration decision to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem and was even more amused when the Associated Press and the New York Post tried to twist the story into a victory for the United States and Israel because the outcome might have been even more lopsided. CNN’s Jake Tapper, a vocal critic of Trump in nearly everything, also cheered the White House decision, demonstr...
Rothbardian Libertarianism We Can Agree on
All the same we take our chances
Laughed at by time
Tricked by circumstances
Plus ca change
Plus c’est la meme chose
The more that things change
The more they stay the same

The Libertarian Forum, edited by Murray N. Rothbard; February 15, 1970.
In this issue, Rothbard discusses “The Task Ahead”; what comes next for this growing libertarian movement, on what issues should we focus, with whom should we ally?
This forty-seven-year-old issue offers some good news and...
