Can President Trump Shoot Jim Comey?

Last weekend, the White House leaked a copy of a letter sent by President Donald Trump’s legal team on Jan. 29 to special counsel Robert Mueller. The letter set forth the president’s legal strategy, arguing essentially that he is immune from prosecution for any crime.

To soften the tone of this poorly received letter, the White House dispatched Rudy Giuliani, the president’s most visible legal spokesperson, to address the issues that his colleagues had raised. He made matters worse when he su...

Gun Registration Is Evil

There’s absolutely nothing to gain by gun registration. At least, not for gun owners. While gun grabbers may love and adore it, convinced that they have found the solution to crime–if they’re particularly deluded, that is–gun owners tend to understand that registering their guns doesn’t really do anything to make them safer.

But you know what it can do? Apparently, it can get you arrested when you try and comply with the law.

Last month, April, 2018, the California Department of Justice raide...

The Crisis in Argentina

Justin’s note: Argentina is teetering on the edge of a full-blown crisis.

Its currency, the peso, is in free fall. Inflation is skyrocketing. And foreign investors are fleeing the country.

In short, it’s starting to feel like 2001 again. So, it’s no surprise that the Mauricio Macri government is doing everything it can to prevent a repeat of that disaster.

It’s already raised the key interest rate to 40%. It’s unloading the foreign reserves. And Argentina is in talks with the International Mo...

Max Boot

How times have changed.

Love him or hate him, everyone and anyone who is genuinely interested in achieving “transparency” owes President Donald J. Trump an eternal debt of gratitude, for had it not been for his meteoric political rise, it would still be possible for some to doubt the existence and profound corruption of the Government-Academic-Media-Entertainment complex (GAME).

Courtesy of President Trump, this phenomenon is now axiomatic.

In the Age of Trump, those who not long ago labored...

It’s Trump’ s Party Now

“There is no Republican Party. There’s a Trump party,” John Boehner told a Mackinac, Michigan, gathering of the GOP faithful last week. “The Republican Party is kind of taking a nap somewhere.”

Ex-Speaker Boehner should probably re-check the old party’s pulse, for the Bush-Boehner GOP may not just be napping. It could be comatose.

Consider. That GOP was dedicated to free trade, open borders, amnesty and using U.S. power to punish aggressors and “end tyranny in our world.” That GOP set out to...

Why Are Marijuana/Hemp/Cannabis Outlawed?

To understand how cannabis became so stigmatized, you have to understand something about a plant that is very similar to cannabis but different enough that making it illegal would be preposterous: hemp.

If I told you there was a plant available to us today that could be grown in pretty much any soil, could thrive without the use of pesticides, and could be farmed with very little maintenance, and that this magical plant could be used for a very large number of necessities and goods we use tod...

Going Ape

Of all the bans I’ve drawn on Facebook (yes, I’ve been on a bit of a bender about this in recent weeks, so I promise this’ll be the last mention), the oddest one I ever received was last year, after I posted a video of a gibbon playing with a hedgehog. There was no political context…I just thought it was a funny clip. Of everything I’ve ever put on Facebook, that video was by far the most innocuous. Yet it was removed. Facebook claimed I’d violated its policy regarding hate speech. No, I’m no...

Bill Clinton Tries To Clean Up the Latest Monica Mess

Former president Bill Clinton doubled down Monday night on his view that he doesn’t owe Monica Lewinsky a person-to-person apology for taking advantage of her when she was a White House intern.

He said during a book-tour event in Harlem, as he had the day before in an interview broadcast on NBC, that the blanket mea culpa he offered in 1998 should have been enough.

‘The suggestion was that I never apologized for what caused all the trouble for me 20 years ago,’ Clinton said Monday night – not...

Bob Jones University

According to Today’s Military—a Department of Defense (DOD) website “developed as a resource for young adults, parents and educators curious about military service” that “is not intended as a recruiting tool for any branch of the U.S. Military” (yeah, sure):

Founded in 1916, ROTC stands for Reserve Officer Training Corps. It’s a college program offered at over 1,700 colleges and universities across the United States that prepares young adults to become officers in the U.S. Military. In exchan...
