Shifted now available at B&N and Kobo!
Woot Woot! I have got some fabulous news to share. The Shifted e-book is finally for sale at Barnes and Noble! Let's all do a little happy dance shall we?.......... No seriously, go ahead I'll wait....... Now are you as excited as I am?! In addition to this, I would also like to announce that all three Miakoda Young Series books are now available on Kobo and will hopefully *crosses finger* be coming soon to the iTunes store. So if you have any friends out there who might enjoy Mia, but own an e-reader other than Kindle or Nook, please, please, please spread the word. I appreciate all your recomendations and thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me and my writing. You guys are the best fans this little Indie girl could have. :)

Playlists
Hey guys! This is just a quick heads up, since I haven't done much to this website in a while, I'm currently making a lot of changes and updates to help spruce things up a bit. One of those changes is updating the book playlists from their old homes at Playlist.com (which no longer allows playlists to be embedded) to their new and improved versions at Grooveshark. This may take a little while as I have to go through each individual playlist song by song and transfer them over. So far I have the Shifted, Lost, and Raven's Wings playlist ready to go. The others should be up and ready for listening by Tuesday morning at the latest. Thanks so much for your patience! You guys are the best. :)

Shifted now available on Amazon!
Great news all you Mia fans out there! Book 3 in the Miakoda Young Series: Shifted is now available in e-book format on Amazon for $3.99! The print version should also be available on Amazon sometime in the next 5-7 days, or you can find it at the Creatspace store for $10.99. Barnes and Noble on the other hand is a WHOLE other issue, I'm afraid. Apparently, B&N's Pubit! has been going through some major technical difficulties for last few months. Processing times for new e-books on Pubit! are taking anywhere from 2-4 weeks+ and that's being generous. Right now I can't even get the app to "accept" my files without getting the "We're having technical difficulties. Try again later." message. So for all you Nook owners out there, I'm sorry to say it'll still be a while. I promise I will be doing my best to move the process along though: harassing customer support specialist, sending out a mass of annoying emails, and anything else that might be necessary, all with your best interests at heart. :P I will also be sure to keep you updated with the link once the Nook version is available. Shifted Chapter One Preview!
Okay, so let's get this right out in the open. Hello. My name is Rheanne Jakubowski, and I am a terrible person. No really. I know I haven't been around in a while... okay in a long while. And I want to say that I'm sorry to all of you. You guys are the best, most beautiful, brilliant readers in the entire world, (Me, sucking up? Why yes sir, I am.), and frankly, I've been taking advantage of your awesomeness. I know I haven't been updating like I should, and a lot of you (and I do mean A LOT) have been messaging me like crazy wondering when the heck the next Mia book is coming out as it seems to have missed its deadline. (Oops! So sorry!) But I do have to say, in my own defense, that I have had a lot of unforseen complications catapult my way in the last several months; such as a broken elbow, sliced tendons in my right hand, homeschooling my kids, potty training an obnoxiously small blattered 2 year old, and the list goes on and on...
Not good enough excuses, you say?
Yeah, I didn't think so. I'd be pissed at me too.
So as for the question on everyone's minds: When is Shifted coming out, and when will it be available in my area? All I can say right now is that I'm working like crazy in the limited amount of time I have and it WILL be coming out soon. Yes, I do realize what a crappy answer that is, especially since I missed my original release date, but as an independant author with a tight scedule and alot on her plate, I promise it's the best I can do. Please, please, please, be patient, and I promise it will be worth the wait. I want this book to be the very best it can be, and I will do everything in my power to make sure it's even better than the first two. Which basically means that, as much as I really do want to make you guys happy: No rushing. Period. Sorry.
So as a very small and admittedly lousy peace offering, (I know you want the whole thing, dang it! I'm so sorry! I'm a terrible person! Please someone just hug me already?!), I'm releasing to you now the Prologue and Chapter One of Shifted in its still rough form, which you can find here or under the "Books" tab. Chapter 2 will also be available in a week or so, just to get you through untill the final release.
Phew, I feel better now. Thank you for listening to my rant. (:

Another Possible Shifted Cover!
So in case you haven't visited my Facebook page in a while, I thought I'd share the news here as well. Since so many of you seem to have grown attached to the original "Mia" on the first 2 book covers, I've been working on an alternate cover for Shifted, and I'd really like to hear your opinions. (The readers spoke loud and clear, and so I listened! ;)) This one is pretty cool since it features Ryan with his green eyes as the main figure, but I do have a few other possibilities in the works. This one is my favorite so far... Let me know what you think!

Still reading your books the old fashioned way?
If so, I'm pleased to announce that Lost (Miakoda book #2) is NOW available in paperback at my Createspace E-store and coming soon to Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Books A Million, and several other online book retailers. Amazon should have the title available in a couple of days, and whille the processing time for all the other stores seems to vary, my guess would be 1 to 2 weeks... so make sure your keep your eyes open! Otherwise, if you just can't wait, be sure to follow the link below to purchase it from me directly at the e-store (where there's also a link for Broken).

It must be cover week!
Well, since I gave away the Shifted book cover yesterday, I figured why not go ahead and reveal the new cover for Mississippi Moon (a stand alone southern romance) also! Now with the amount of excitement I've seen over the future release of Shifted and Raven's Wings, I've decided to push back the release of M.M. until the first two are out-- which means sometime in early 2012... Still! Since the cover is pretty much finalized I thought I'd entice you with a small teaser. So here it is! The cover for Mississippi Moon. I hope you like it. I'm kind of in love with it myself (;
