Hugh Jackman *IS* Wolverine!

My friend Sean M. Murphy and I went to go see "Wolverine" last night. I'm a huge Marvel fan (as might be obvious from my Marvel tarot drawings,) and I wasn't disappointed.... entirely. Entertainment Weekly had me expecting never ending battles with no meaning, and I have to say I must have seen a completely different movie. Or maybe there's something visceral for a long-time fan like me to actually see the stills of comic panels turned into live-action.

One More Day...

Until DEAD IF I DO officially comes out!!

Today I'm sitting in a nice little coffeeshop in downtown Valparasio, Indiana sipping a latte and taking full advantage of their free wifi. I'm here visiting my "in-laws," Mason's grandma. We're leaving tomorrow morning, and hope to be back to the Cities by Wednesday.

It's kind of strange to be out of town so close to the release date, though really I suppose it hardly matters where I am in the world. It's not like the book ONLY comes out in my hometown

Busy, Busy

I've been absent from the blogosphere because I've been finishing up my novel for deadline... and I'm happy to report I finished on time! So hopefully this means there will be another Garnet Lacey story for you to enjoy some time in 2010.

After finishing all that, I've been flooded with publicity work for the up-coming release, DEAD IF I DO. As events and contests and whatnot get confirmed, I'll try to make sure I post links and other pertinent information here.

Marvel (tm) Tarot: THE LOVERS

On Saturday, while my partner finished reading the manuscript for final editing, revision, proofing before it goes to my editor on Friday, I had some time on my hands. If I don't busy myself while she's reading my work, I tend to stand over her and say very unhelpful things like, "So? Do you like it? What's happening now?"

I happened to feel like drawing, so I decided to work on the tarot card set I've been slowly making for myself of Marvel superheros. I'm up to #6 of the Major Arcana, the LOVER

Rocking Socks

I'm kind of like Garnet in that I can be a total technological dweeb, but I was just on Facebook and discovered that in 2008 someone started a Facebook group called: Tate Hallaway Rocks My Socks! And I just invited *all* my Facebook friends.
