So I watched Sons of Liberty. I liked it! Except I thought the writers got lazy...

So I watched Sons of Liberty. I liked it! Except I thought the writers got lazy in using the kid. I knew what would happen with him as soon as I saw him (what happened is a cliche of sorts in movies, etc, to delineate good from bad). There were better, less contrived ways to set up the BIG DECISIONS AND CALL TO ACTION (the writer in me can't shut up---this is our curse, in case you didn't know;) . Or to make the audience decide the Brits were the bad guys (sorry Brit readers--- this is not a subtle series on tv here.). Like a US audience needed that? So that bothered me more than the inaccuracies, of which it was also one big one. And I guess while life was grittier back then for sure, the sun must have come out every now and then, right?
But, on the whole, I enjoyed it and will continue watching it. I am also glad Americans are learning about Sam Adams, who really was a trouble maker, and Dr.Warren, who played a bigger role than most of us know because he doesn't get in the K-12 history books.
