November 3, 2016: A Dragon's Hoard, At Walmart
You know what they say: Where there's gold, there be dragons.
And at Walmart right now, there is, in fact, both gold and dragons!
Inside marked copies of the gold-foil, Walmart-exclusive edition of Munchkin (pictured at left), we've stuffed the mini-booster Munchkin Dragons: Four More . You'll know the dragons are inside by a handy sticker on the box that says so.
It's a curious quartet of weird wyrms! Rules for mixing them into your game are here, but feel free not to read them and simply embrace the fiery chaos.
Here's a teaser: The pack includes the Level 4 Gummy Wyrm, which neutralizes your Footgear when it oozes all over the floor. There's also Poof, the other magic dragon, who's stronger if you're a Wizard. You'll have to get the game to find out about the other two!
And if you like this pack, look for Munchkin Dragons and Munchkin Dragon's Trike at your friendly local game store.
Then you can have a fire-lizard extravaganza!

November 2, 2016: New Releases For October
If you're afraid of spelling, cats that never stop smiling, zombies, or counting your murder victims, then October was a month of appealingly spooky, scary releases from Steve Jackson Games!
If none of those things scare you, we have to say: Your bravery knows no bounds. At the very least, we thought you'd be afraid of counting your murder victims. Nobody wants to face that number.
Read on, if you dare, for a recap of our October releases!
Munchkin Zombies Guest Artist Edition
I say, good sir, I certainly would not object to a repast consisting primarily of your cerebrum.
It's new art for a beloved, undead Munchkin game! In keeping with that spooky October spirit, guest artist Greg Hyland's zombies are graphic; they don't shy away from the blood'n'guts.
Just as in the original game, you are a zombie. You equip yourself with An Arm and a Leg, a Bowling Trophy on your head, and Mousetraps on your feet. You might be Fast, Smart, Stealthy, Tough, or Rotting; you could be a Voodoo Zombie, an Atomic Zombie, or a Plague Zombie.
So say it with me like a Smart zombie eating an organic farmer: Mmm, artisan cerebrum.
Munchkin Wonderland
Off with their heads!
This Munchkin -inspired, Wonderland-themed game is suitable for the whole family, even the youngsters! It's like Munchkin , but with streamlined rules and less backstabbing.
You'll fight classic monsters and megalomaniacal queens from Lewis Carroll's Wonderland novels. You'll encounter characters and collect items from the stories. Six Impossible Things Before Breakfast, for example, might help you fight the Red Queen. Meanwhile, that always-smiling terror feline, the Cheshire Cat, might help your opponent fight the Jabberwock!
Whoever has the most gold at the end of the game wins! This lighthearted romp is available exclusively on Amazon.
Munchkin #22
Every Flower has its . . . fists.
In the latest edition of our Munchkin comic, Flower journeys across wastelands and pleasant suburban lawns in search of her kidnapped kung-fu master. But does he want to be found? Maybe not.
Then, a group of survivors hole up in a bowling alley to stay safe from the zombie hordes. But when the zombies get inside, it turns out . . . the survivors are still safe. These zombies have unusual tastes.

Whichever option you go for, you'll never again forget that A is for Adventure, and B is for Bar.
Munchkin Kill-o-Meter Guest Artist Edition
One! One dead monster! Two! Two dead monsters!
During a Munchkin game, a lot of things affect your power level. Gear, one-shots, Go Up A Level cards, and – of course – killing things.
This Kill-o-Meter helps you keep track of all that . . . in style. With illustrations from comic artist Ian McGinty, who also drew a recent Munchkin Guest Artist Edition, this Kill-o-Meter packs a visual punch.

November 1, 2016: Munchkin Wonderland Hops Onto Amazon
Munchkin has a history of invading stories and causing trouble. From Oz to Grimm Tidings , Spyke and Flower can't seem to keep their heads out of books. It was only a matter of time until they made it to the zaniest literary realm – Lewis Carroll's Wonderland novels!
The colorful world of Munchkin Wonderland is brought to life by the master himself, John Kovalic. The game is a feast for the eyes, with vibrant and fanciful illustrations based around the crazy locales and wacky characters from the novels. The board is larger than normal, because this game is based on Munchkin Treasure Hunt . This makes it a great game for introducing kids to the world of Munchkin , and equally fun for adults who just want to bash some monsters and grab treasure! You'll interact with classic Wonderland characters like the Jabberwock, Cheshire Cat, Caterpillar, and many more on your journey around the land, collecting the best Treasure to win.
So don't be late to the party! Get Munchkin Wonderland today, exclusively on Amazon.

October 31, 2016: Have An SJ Games Halloween Game Night!
The zombies are stirring and vampires are sharpening their fangs . . . it's finally Halloween! We at Steve Jackson Games have a game for every spook, specter, and apparition in your family, so why not get a game in once the trick-or-treating is done?
If you lean toward the elder horrors, look no further than Munchkin Cthulhu Guest Artist Edition and its many expansions and add-ons. Katie Cook's new art gives your favorite horrors a makeover, and it's a unique take on these tiny terrors. You should also check out Cthulhu Dice for fast, elder dice-rolling action.
If you are looking for more cryptozoological horrors, then Chupacabra: Survive The Night is a great choice. It's a fast dice game with cool, glow-in-the-dark dice so you can play in the dark. You know, when Chupacabras hunt. (Don't worry, they aren't real. Probably.)
Maybe shambling hordes are more your speed? Then you should check out the brand new Munchkin Zombies Guest Artist Edition , with art by Greg Hyland. Of course, the existing expansions will work with this version as well, and there are a ton. But zombies aren't limited to Munchkin . For some quick, action-packed gaming, check out Zombie Dice . It plays fast and is easy to learn. Plus you can add Santa Claus or a School Bus. That's just cool.
Now, let's say you have a dozen friends sitting around ready to play something. Nobody wants to bob for apples, but everyone can play I Hate Zombies! If you know how to play Rock-Paper-Scissors, you can fight zombies. Or be a zombie. Because although you all hate zombies, half of the players will be fighting to turn the humans into zombies. But the humans all have special powers, so it won't be easy. This is a perfect Halloween party game for 12 people who have a disdain for the undead.
Hopefully this has given you some inspiration on how to turn your ghoulish gathering into a mad monster party, whether at home or at your friendly local game store. Have a happy Halloween, and play more games!

October 30, 2016: The Decemberists Design A Game!

We've had the pleasure of working with The Decemberists for a Munchkin promo card in the past, so it's only natural that we'd want to talk about an entire boardgame created by members of the band.
The game is beautiful, with a minimalist, classic design that still seems very modern. Co-designed by our friend Keith Baker, designer of Gloom , it's a pretty simple card game that plays in about 15 minutes.
Backing the project also gets you into the Society of Luminaries. That's right, secret societies. You know how much we like those. So yeah, this is an auto-back. Plus, it's unlocked a ton of stretch goals so far, upgrading the already stellar components, so why not jump in toward the end and reap the benefits?
There's less than a week to go, so head over to their Kickstarter page now to back this. Tell them the Illuminati sent you.

October 26, 2016: Munchkin Comics #22 In Stores Now!
The doors are barricaded, the undead are about, and the kung-fu masters are fighting – it must be new comic day!
Some of your favorite Munchkin-comic writers and artists join forces in issue #22 from BOOM! Studios, starting with a Munchkin Fu Guest Artist Edition story – "Munchkin Fu: The Legend Continues." Flower journeys far and wide to avenge her master. She faces many tests of questionable origin . . . honestly, she may be making up a majority of the tests. We really can't be sure. But there's a lot of kung-fu action, written by the amazing Sam Sykes and illustrated by Ian McGinty (artist for Munchkin Guest Artist Edition and Munchkin Knights , among others).
It's Halloween, of course, so the issue wouldn't be complete without a horde of the undead! Humans are being selfish and holing up in the bowling alley during a zombie apocalypse. But when the undead want to use the lanes, they fight in the deadliest form of combat – bowl off. Can the humans avoid the gutter, or will they fall to the (surprisingly talented) zombies? This shambling story was written by David Scheidt, with art from Greg Hyland, who also illustrated the recently released Munchkin Zombies Guest Artist Edition .
Pick up your copy of Munchkin #22 at your friendly local comic shop today! Unless you're a zombie, then you should probably find your nearest bowling alley. And don't forget your BOOM! Bundle bookmark promo code in the back of the comic, redeemable on Warehouse 23.
