A fool like me is always hanging ‘round.

Is used to scraping his heart off the ground.
I spend my life

But you would never think to love a fool like me.

I tried so hard to fit in with your friends,
To play their game
Of broken hearts where no one ever wins.

Their world had no room for

I sat down with an anxious thought
Wondering what this could be.

But amazement soon took over

And a little surprised.

It’s a wild ride
Building like a great volcano way down deep inside.

Burning ‘cross an open field til there’s no place to hide.

The picture on the nightstand
Reminds me how it used to be
Before fate came calling
