Ministry Update: AiG Librarian I Met in 1984 Retires

Well, it happens. We all get older, and there comes that time when we have to make changes in our lives. Last week our Answers in Genesis staff gathered at staff meeting where we announced the retirement of our librarian, Walt Stumper (although no one truly retires from Answers in Genesis!). Walt served at AiG for 24 years and will still come into the office on certain days to use his talents for the ministry.

Walt and his wife, Janice, met a long line of staff who came to congratulate him on hi...

AmericansKilling Their Own Children and Supporting the Death of the Elderly

As someone who knows what Gods Word teaches about the unborn and the value of every person made in Gods image (right from fertilization), its hard to stomach many news headlines these days. Whether its reports of atrocities committed in wars far away or yet another report about the killing of unborn babies in America, the news often has Christians crying out to God, wondering why he doesnt immediately stop this evil. And we find that same struggle throughout the Bible.

Take, for e...

Will You Fight Like a Man?

Ive heard it said that the average age a boy is first exposed to internet pornography is now around 8 years old. Eight years old. That alarming statistic is why certain states are requiring major pornography websites, like PornHub, to practice age verification on their sitesresulting in PornHub shutting down in those states, including in Kentucky and 11 others. Now thats a good thingmaking the evil of pornography harder to access protects children from exposure. But more is needed.

Ministry Update: Equipping Local Pastors

We are passionate about equipping the churchand that means reaching pastors. So we at Answers in Genesis invited pastors from our local area to a special breakfast earlier this week in Legacy Hall at the Creation Museum. We had so many who wanted to attend, we also added a brunch! What a good problem to have!

Between the breakfast and brunch, over 450 pastors and their wives, representing 300 churches in our area, attended. We gave each pastor a special gift bag and showed them all that we of...

The Source of Our Identity

What is so wrong about the knowledge of good and evil?

AiG Executive CEO Martyn Iles responds to one of the first questions many have when reading the Bible:

That is what I often used to wonder when I read the account of Genesis 2 and 3, where God forbade Adam and Eve from eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, or they would die (Genesis 2:17).

It was even more confusing when I realized Adam and Eve must have already known something about good and evil because they could m...

AiGs Childrens Novel Wins Selah Award

Congratulations to our Answers in Genesis publishing team who just won their first Selah Award for Evonne Krells (editorial manager here at AiG) childrens novel, The Tower. What an exciting distinction for this fun novel that helps children connect with the event of the tower of Babel by bringing that unique period of history to life.

Here is a little background on the Selah Awards:

The Selah Awards is a US-based writing competition for Christian books run by the Blue Ridge Mountains Christ...

Daniel: Its the Message We Need in 2024

When Martyn Iles and I have an event togethersuch as our upcoming free one-day conference at Cedarville Universitywe usually title it Living in Babylon. Why? Well, just as Daniel and his friends entered a new world filled with paganism and were commanded to compromise truth with a false religion (but didnt!), so Christians are finding themselves now. The West is quickly becoming a Babylonand we need generations who are prepared and equipped to stand, no matter the consequences...

Its a Whole New Attraction

The remodel of the Creation Museum zoo, which began the first week of January, is nearly complete! Weve been looking forward to the reopening of the Eden Zoo, which will consist of brand-new habitats for some of our current animals as well as several exciting new additions.

Two of the exhibits will allow our guests to actually walk in the habitats and experience the animals up close! A large outdoor stage has also been constructed for the zoo staff to present educational and entertaining prog...

A Christian Ministry Saddened by Pro-Lifers, Not Abortion?

As a believer in Jesus Christ, which saddens you more: considering the millions of lives lost to abortion or having a display humanizing the unborn set up outside your church? Well, if youre confused (for good reason!) why thats even a question, let me share a recent news story from the UK with you.

According to the report from a UK newspaper, a pro-life group called Brephos (named for the Greek word for baby or infant used in the New Testament) set up a large pro-life display in the...
