Why Fashion Model Karlie Kloss Launched Her Own YouTube Channel
Supermodel Karlie Kloss gets paid (a lot) to project other people's creative visions. Her new YouTube channel is about representing her own.
There are Band-Aids on the backs of Karlie Kloss's ankles. She is wearing a little sparkly ring in the shape of a "K"; a delicate gold necklace around her neck reads "Sister." New York Fashion Week is in full swing when I sit down with the 23-year-old supermodel in YouTube's new Manhattan studios. She has just finished shooting a segment for her recent collaboration with YouTube, a handful of the platform's most popular fashion and beauty vloggers, and Vogue magazine. After wrapping up her video shoots and walking down the runways, she'll still have to do her homework—she just started her freshman year at New York University, where she's taking an introductory writing class, just like everyone else. "I'm a normal 23-year-old girl," she says.

Apple's Electric Car Could Ship By 2019
As expected, Apple is working on a car—but the first iteration won't be fully autonomous, contrary to previous reports.
Apple has set an ambitious ship date for its electric car: The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple is revving things up to deliver a car by 2019, and has the green light to triple its 600-person team. Though Apple is conducting research on fully autonomous vehicles, its first release will be an electric car—not a self-driving car, as previously rumored.

Apple Weathers The First Major Malware Attack On Its App Store
Apple, which prides itself on its security measures, fell prey to malware that compromised hundreds of iOS apps from China.
Over the weekend, Apple revealed that malware found its way into the App Store on a mass scale after several of China's most popular apps were infected with code that could snoop on iOS devices and steal passwords. The breach is bad news for Apple, which uses its security as a major selling point and has stiff competition in the lucrative Chinese market.

Nishimura founded 2channel, an online message board that served as one of 4chan's inspirations. Terms of the sale weren't disclosed, but 4chan boasts more than 20 million monthly users.

Kickstarter CEO: "We Don't Ever Want To Sell Or Go Public"
Crowdfunding site Kickstarter announced it is reincorporating as a public benefit corporation.
On Sunday, Kickstarter made a decision that appears to be in stark contrast to the usual trajectory of investment-chasing tech companies. The crowdfunding platform has elected to become a "public benefit corporation"—in other words, a company that is legally bound to prioritize its societal impact, and must be transparent about its progress year after year.

There's only ocean as far as my eye can see. It's a swirl of pastels marking the break of dawn. Overhead, I watch a flock of seagulls fly by. Under foot, I hear the crash of waves against rocks. It's only then that I look down, and realize I'm standing on the ledge of a cliff.
