Not sure, but quite soon. The first volume is fully edited, copyedited and proofread. The seven new covers are ready. I want to have the second volume fully edited etc before I put the first one out. Will probably put the first two out at the same time. Please join my mailing list on my website at www.ricardopinto.com so that you will get notifications directly(less)

Stone Dance Second Edition release schedule

Before writing this, I read my last post on this issue and discovered that I’d claimed that the new Second Edition Stone Dance books were going to start coming out in weeks… and that was weeks ago. Oops! I thought that plan had only been in my head, and had forgotten I’d ‘said it out loud’. Oh dear. My apologies. If you read the First Edition, you will know that I missed my delivery times by ye...

I read this for research. For some reason I find Zoroastrianism harder to get to grips with than any of the other religions I know about or have looked at. This book makes a good attempt to unpick some of the complexities of a somewhat alien (to me) ...more

a wonderful overview and with the most excellent maps. I understood aspects of world history—particularly the Steppe—but more importantly the topography of that more northerly part of Eurasia… the Tarim Basin for example—for the first time

“What you call passion is not a spiritual force, but friction between the soul and the outside world. Where passion dominates, that does not signify the presence of greater desire and ambition, but rather the misdirection of these qualities toward and isolated and false goal, with a consequent tension and sultriness in the atmosphere. Those who direct the maximum force of their desires toward the center, toward true being, toward perfection, seem quieter than the passionate souls because the flame of their fervor cannot always be seen. In argument, for example, they will not shout or wave their arms. But, I assure you, they are nevertheless, burning with subdued fires.”
Hermann Hesse, The Glass Bead Game
