Direction of Righteousness
Direction of RighteousnessThe righteousness of God is rained down from heaven on inhabitants of the earth. “’Their righteousness is from me’, says the Lord” (Isaiah 54:17 NKJV).When people receive this righteousness by faith in Jesus it becomes the truth revealed and working in their lives. It is a free gift which cannot be produced by any person on his/her own merits. When a person receives righteousness, his/her heart opens up for salvation to spring forth as a tree of righteousness. All kinds of fruit are produced from this tree, because all the fruit of the Spirit are rooted in righteousness. Righteousness gives direction to all the fruit. In other words, all the fruit operates according to righteousness. “Drip down, O heavens, from above, and let the clouds pour down righteousness; let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, and righteousness spring up with it” (Isaiah 45:8). This study examines righteousness and explains how to live in righteousness.Continue reading Direction of Righteousness.

Sound of Joy
Sound of JoyThe sound of joy signifies victory. When joy rings out, the enemy flees. No weapon on the earth or in the heavens can hurt those who have the joy of the Lord. “The joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). Joy is a supernatural force. Joy is the response of all creation to the goodness of the Lord. It radiates throughout the universe. “Shout for joy, O heavens! And rejoice, O earth! Break forth into joyful shouting, O mountains!” (Isaiah 49:13) This study examines the supernatural force of joy, emphasizing its sound.Continue reading Sound of Joy.

Peacemakers Bring the Peace of Christ to Troubled Lives

Peace is active and powerful. It moves by the Spirit. It surpasses natural understanding. This study examines the supernatural power of peace and the role of the peacemaker who brings peace. It shows how peace operates and how it is activated.Continue reading Peacemakers Bring the Peace of Christ to Troubled Lives.

Spirit of Excellence: Demonstrating the Greatest Love
Spirit of ExcellenceJesus demonstrated the greatest love by his death on the cross. “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). He commanded all his disciples to demonstrate this same great love. “This is my commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you” (John 15:12). His disciples are predestined to be conformed to the family image of the greatest love. It is not the outward appearance but the inner man or spirit man which takes on this image of the greatest love. The spirit man conformed to the likeness of the greatest love is called the spirit of excellence. This study examines the spirit of excellence. It shows how a spirit of excellence is developed and how it operates.Continue reading Spirit of Excellence.

Setting Goals God's Way
Setting Goals God's WayPeople set goals or New Year’s resolutions at the beginning of the year, thinking they will be better off at the end of the year. However, there is a fallacy in this logic if the goals are not spiritual or if they are not met. Setting a goal can be a good thing, especially if it ignites the fire of passion in a life that otherwise would be mundane. But all goals are not equal. For example, a goal for physical exercise is not equal to a goal for godliness. Physical exercise helps you in some small ways, but serving God helps you in every way (1 Timothy 4:8). This discussion is intended to help people set godly goals.Continue reading Setting Goals God's Way.

Enduring Roles of the Father
Enduring Roles of the FatherA person who has great potential to change the culture and bring forth the kingdom of God is the father. His influence can be either positive or negative, making sons or fatherless orphans. The mother nurtures and holds children close, but the father can impart into their lives and release them to be the best they can be. The teacher helps mold the minds of children and shows them things to come, but the father can prepare his children with identity and character before the teacher meets them. The mother and teacher already do much of the things expected of them, but the father has missed many opportunities to positively affect his children. This post examines how the father can have an important role in the lives of his children. Continue reading Enduring Roles of the Father.

Born of the Spirit: We are Wind
Born of the Spirit: We are WindAny supernatural experience before a person accepts Jesus as Savior is neither life-changing nor lasting. The first pivotal supernatural experience for most people is experiencing salvation. It imparts everlasting life and opens the door to all other major supernatural experiences. The new birth creates a new spirit of freedom within a person, allowing the person to move on the earth like the wind. This post examines what it means to be born of the Spirit.
