Fanime 2011

KatGirl Studio in Artist Alley

KatGirl Studio will be at Fanime again this year! You can find us in the Artist Alley at tables 80 & 81. We'll have our usual assortment of artwork, matted prints and shirts. We will also be giving away a free comic and Daemons in the Mist promo bookmark, while supplies last. Aside from all the goodies we will have available, I will be on hand to answer questions about my upcoming releases and how I makes my art.

Deviant Art Meet-up

I will be hosting the Deviant Art Meet-Up at Fanime again this year.

This event is open to all attendees of the convention. There is no need to RSVP (unless you want to be included in the slide show) so just show up and have fun. The meet-up will be a great place to meet other deviants, share artwork and network.

Deviants of all ages are welcome!

Taking into account the feedback we received last year this year's meet-up will run a little bit differently. We will be running a slide show of attendees' artwork, but to make this possible we need you to send us your images. How do you do this, you ask? Just send me darkkitten8 a note with 3-5 of your images in thumb form and we will include them in the show.

*Please only send images if you are actually planning to attend Fanime 2011 and the meet-up. Also only send images appropriate for all ages ie. no nudity and such. If your images are deemed inappropriate for this all-ages event, they will not be included in the slide show.

Bottled

This week's Illustration Friday word was Bottled and this is the first thing that came to mind.

The original image is from this piece I painted on Monday for my upcoming picture book The Koi Who Cried Wolf, the second picture book by author Katina Lawdis I am illustrating for Viscus Vir Publishing. I repainted parts of the image to fit with this new concept and the bottle template is from here.
