Retiring audio version of Labyrinth and upcoming changes

Feeling Darwin’s theory in the digital sense. Don’t be alarmed, but I may have to kill the audio podcast turn The Labyrinth Podcast into a video channel within the next week or so. This means that I would reformat the show, because I simply can’t get every author to chat via video with me. Though technically possible, not all authors want to do this type of interview.

I would host the video channel right in my YouTube, which you can find here.

Hosting costs are too high for the audio version, and I have always promised I would never charge for the podcast or hit people up for donations. Sorry guys and gals.

If you have any creative ideas on how to evolve the show into something else, please email me at urraca at me dot com.

I’m not sad about this. Disappointed, yes, but like Suze Orman says, you gotta live in your “truth,” which I call financial reality. I think I can make a pretty cool video channel. It sucks to leave the audio behind. I promise I will post all the files on the show when I retire the feed, this way you can always listen to the archive here.

Labyrinth 71 – Peter Straub

It’s a huge honor to bring you a very special episode with renowned, award-winning author Peter Straub. He’s truly a hero of mine, and a great influence to me as both a reader and writer. We spent an afternoon in his backyard and chatted. Check it out!

Labyrinth 70 – Matt Fitzgerald and “Diet Cults”

Author Matt Fitzgerald, author of “Diet Cults,” from Pegasus books, talks to us on the Labyrinth about cutting through the diet cults. Matt believes that the obsession with the “correct diet” has taken the average person off track from ways of healthy eating. What does it take to be an agnostic eater? We discuss on episode 70 of the Labyrinth.

Labyrinth 68 – Phil Stephens

Phil Stephens is strength coach, athlete, entrepreneur, and co-host of Iron Radio podcast. Yes, I know we talk a lot on the show about books, publishing and self-publishing, but it’s also part of being an entrepreneur. In this episode I talk to Phil about elements of entrepreneurship, and how to find that thing that makes you push past your limits, physically and mentally.

Labyrinth 66 – Hugh Howey

Hugh Howey is the best-selling author of the novel Wool, which he originally self published on Amazon. The success of that book helped launch his career, which spans several more novels, short stories, and more. Director Ridley Scott recently bought the rights to Wool. Hugh talked to me about the opportunities and realities available to writers and entrepreneurial authors in the age of the e-book and the Internet.
