A lot of people I know were hit REALLY bad (as well as the subway system and Con Edison), due to Sandy. If you're in the East Village area, on 4th Street, there is a literary bar/watering hole where all sorts of readings are held on a regular basis called KGB's. Speculative Fiction readings are usually hosted by Ellen Datlow herself on a monthly basis. You should check it out. Lawrence. www.lawrencedagstine.com
