Five things I thought about during my morning run:

1. GORGEOUS morning. I know I’m going to pay for it, running on the pavement instead of the track at the gym, but I can’t resist.

2. Blogging over at Killer Hobbies today.

3. Up way too early today. 4 a.m. Yep.

4. The latest newsletter. Woot. It has a short story in it. If you’ve not subscribed, the sub box is on my side panel. These short stories will be a featured in many of my newsletters. Exclusive (for now) to the subscribers. All of the stories are about my Cumberland Creek Scrappers.

5. Oh my, look at those pretty morning glories. I love me some morning glories.

Five things I thought about during my morning run:

1. It feels like I’m running through mud. My legs don’t want to move.

2. “Pale shadow of a woman.”

3. I think I’m on the right track for this short story I’m working on. I feel better about it. It will be available only to my newsletter subscribers. Sometime in the future I may put them up on my blog. There will be a series of them. The goal is to sort of update the readers of my series: what goes on in Cumberland Creek between books?

4. Can’t forget that doctor appointment today.

5. So good to catch up with my friend Jen yesterday. Lurve her!

Five things I thought about during my morning run:

1. It feels like fall to me. Looks like spring. Feels like fall. Just another weirdness in the weather this year.

2. Feeling a little at loose ends. Having finished first draft of book 3. Oh I have plenty to do…just not there yet.

3. The way most people will tell you what they think you want to hear, rather than the truth. If you find an honest person, hang on to them.

4. So yesterday, Emma comes home with a dance solo in Aladdin. What the what? Okayeeee!

5. Really need to get this organizing of my office project started. OYE.

Five things I thought about during my morning run:

1. It’s a bit steamy, but it add an extra challenge–and it’s easier on my joints.

2. Someone bushwhacked the filed of wildflowers that I love to look at when I run.

3. Sweat is pouring. Yes, indeed.

4. Hope my glasses don’t get steamed.

5. There goes a cute little bunny hopping across the road. Ya know, I had a pet rabbit once. He was so smart and I loved him with all my 12-year-old heart.

Five things I thought about during my morning run:

1. How hot it is outside. I’m grateful for this gym membership.

2. “Wish I could shut my Playboy mouth..”

3. Don’t think I’m going to make my self-imposed deadline of having my first draft done (of book #3)  before the girls get out of school. I had forgotten that this last week of school is full of activities that really eat in to my time. But I am still going to try to get as much done as I can.

4. It really is SO much easier on my body to run in the gym. I am flying and in relatively little pain.

5. I am digging some of this digital scrapbooking. Seriously inspiring.

Five things I thought about during my morning run:

1. Working on some idea for short stories. The stories will focus on the Cumberland Creek scrappers. Filling in some of the gaps in time. So many people can’t wait for the next book. The subscribers of my newsletter will get them first. The I’ll publish on my site.

2. Perfect morning for a run. Warm, with a nice chill in the breeze.

3. When I don’t start the day with some kind of exercise, it’s difficult for me. It really helps clear my brain and keep my mood on an even keel.

4. “Getting cards and letters from people I don’t even know…”

5. Auditions this afternoon. Nah, not me, my daughters. heh.

FAB Examiner Review of SCRAPBOOK OF SECRETS

Check it out. I'm so thrilled! Here's the first paragraph.
"I assumed when I started ‘Scrapbook of Secrets’ that it would be a fun whodunit and I would learn a little about scrapbooking along the way. I seriously underestimated the book I was about to read. ‘Scrapbook of Secrets’, the first in “A Cumberland Creek Mystery” series by Mollie Cox Bryan examines a variety of the secrets that people hold. Secrets that cause guilt, shame and possibly murder. Exploring how the characters and society deals with these secrets provides the reader with an extremely thought provoking book."

Five things I thought about during my morning run:

1. So I get in the car to go to the gym and something is wrong with it. Great. So I turn around and go home.I’m hoping it’s not a big issue.

2. So I’m running outside. It’s just after a rain and the beginning of the run is really lovely. Streets gleaming and flowers popping.

3. We just got a new car. My husband drives it to work each day. Of course, we are stressing about those payments. And now this business with the old car. Grrr.

4. Toward the end of my run, it’s hard to breathe because of the humidity. So steamy.

5. The new title for book #2. SCRAPPED.  I love it. What do you think?
