Spotlighting Julie Kenner (USA Today & NYT Bestseller!)
Can I just say that dying sucks?
All that bullshit about seeing the light and having this final moment of inner peace, blah, blah, blah. It’s crap.
Dying is messy and terrifying and it hurts like hell.
I ought to know. After all, I was the one on that basement floor in a puddle of my own blood and bile. And there was no peace, no light, no anything. Nothing except the ice-cold knowledge that the sins I’d racked up in the last twelve or so hours were more than sufficient to push me through the gates of hell.
Forget everything else I’d done in my twenty-six years on this earth, good and bad. You go out planning to kill a man—even a man as vile as Lucas Johnson—and your fate is pretty much sealed.
From a practical standpoint, the moment of death is a little bit late to start getting all profound and reflective. As they say, what’s done is done. But that doesn’t matter, because even if you’re the least introspective person on the planet, you still go through the whole Psych 101 rigmarole. You tell yourself that maybe you should have said your bedtime prayers once in a while. You wonder if all those torture-porn horror movies you watched while your boyfriend copped a feel weren’t actually a sneak peek into what hell had to offer.
In other words, you get scared.
When you’re living, you might tell God to take a flying leap for putting your mother six feet under when you were only fourteen. For leaving you with a stepfather who decided to cuddle up with Jack Daniels because he no longer had a loving wife in his bed. For leaving you in charge of a pigtailed little half-sister who thought you hung the moon.
And for making you arrogant enough to swear that you’d protect that precious kid no matter what, even though that wasn’t a promise you could keep. Not when there are monsters like Lucas Johnson trolling the earth. Monsters who suck the life from little girls.
For all those reasons, you might turn your back on God, and think you’re oh-so-righteous for doing it. But you’d be wrong.
Trust me. I know.
I know, because even as my life faded, the fires of hell nipped at my toes.
In the end, I got lucky. But then again, luck is all a matter of perspective, isn’t it?
When Lily Carlyle set out to kill a child molester, she never expected to die and be resurrected as an assassin. Especially not as an assassin charged with fighting the forces of darkness in the ultimate battle of good against evil. It’s the key into heaven, she’s told. And in light of her sins, without that key, she’s doomed to an eternity of suffering.
But even in the demon world it’s sometimes hard to tell your ally from your enemy. And when Lily finds out the truth . . . well, there really will be hell to pay.

“When this action-packed, pedal-to-the-metal second installment of the Blood Lily Chronicles begins, the story picks up right where book one ends…. Kenner deftly balances the various plot threads while at the same time maintaining riveting suspense, as well as palpable, simmering tension between Lily and Deacon. … Kenner’s depiction of a young woman facing seemingly impossible odds who has lost everything yet refuses to give up provides a gripping, fast-moving tale that readers will find themselves easily immersed in. This reviewer can hardly wait for the conclusion to this excellent series.” – Bitten By Books

Another sneak peek…
…Werewolves came out of the closet, so to speak, and into the light. The media spotlight. One man, John Benedict, came forward on behalf of the Lycan packs. A well-spoken, handsome man in his late fifties, he met with the media and admitted that, yes, werewolves did exist, and had, for as long as they could remember, lived amongst us and none of us ever knew. Well, the rag magazines claimed to have known all along, but then again, they still screamed Elvis lived, so no one paid them much mind.
But it wasn’t just werewolves. Dryads stepped forth from the redwoods and the Amazon wilds, begging we stop cutting their trees. Merpeople also rose from the sea, tired of getting caught in oil spills and fishing nets. Fairies flitted to the halls of justice and filed injunctions against the use of bug zappers.
Ever heard the sound of millions of jaws hitting the floor at once? Yeah, realizing a whole mystical subculture existed, rocked the planet on its axis.
From that moment on, everything changed. Laws changed. The world shifted. And humans, or at least those without the twisted DNA gene that made them go fuzzy or fish-tailed, had to learn to live with it. So humans did what we did best. We started committees.
Groups formed for the ethical treatment of Lycans, dryads and merpeople. Others formed to exterminate them. Religions were born, some for, some against. Fairies tied up the courts as they sued the makers of the bug zappers and sticky fly strips. And life went on.

Can one woman handle two dominant men intent on staking their claim?
Warning: This story contains adult subject matter and language that is probably not suitable for anyone. Paranormal Erotic Ménage Romance (MFM)

Two’s a couple, three’s a ménage, not to mention the law. Welcome to an alternate world where the government gives tax breaks to women who choose to take on two or more men—and werewolves live amongst us.
Despite the laws encouraging polygamy, Chloe isn’t interested in a relationship with one man, let alone two. But all that changes when a werewolf client decides he wants her for more than just legal aid. He’s not alone though. Her nemesis in the courtroom, district attorney Anthony Vanderson, is also intent on seduction.
Caught between two men—naked and panting—she succumbs to passion, gets embroiled in a mystery and learns werewolves aren’t the only creatures living amongst humans.

Spotlighting Dahilia Rose
published by Amira Press (December 13th 2013)
Rancher Matthew Ryder knew how to make money work for him. From the time he was twenty, he turned his father’s failing business into a multi billion-dollar enterprise. Computers, software, finances, and corporate takeovers, he could handle them all. But nothing said home to him like leaving the city behind and heading to his ranch in Nevada. His father’s love of horses was his, and he had the best horseflesh and cattle in the state. But when tragedy strikes, and his best friend was killed in an accident on the ranch just before Christmas, Matthew was left wondering what life was about. In town he found a pregnant fiancée that Lance never spoke about, and he wondered what other secrets was kept from him. Matthew found himself wanting to protect the beauty and her unborn child. He’d made a fortune and still something was missing. Maybe she and her baby were the people to fill that void.
Grace Reid was an ebony beauty who carried herself with poise. She was heading back to Georgia the day Lance was killed. He was a cheating, lying bastard, and she was better off raising the baby alone. She had fully intended to be at her mama’s for Christmas, but her doctor had already given her the bad news that she was too far along to travel, and now she was stuck in Roman, Nevada. With her money dwindling and no prospects, Matthew Ryder came knocking on her door. It seemed that Lance had kept secrets from them both. She went from living in Lance’s dingy apartment to waiting to have her baby in a mansion on a ranch. With the attraction between her and Matthew, she wondered if she was making another stupid mistake. Did he see her as another thing he could buy with his money, or did he really care? She had her baby to think about. Being tossed aside when he got bored wasn’t an option. Would love or money win when the day was done?

I owe this fabulous distinction to the readers and fans who love my stories, who never tire of my sense of humor or the whacky things I do to my heroes and heroines. You guys are AWESOME! Seriously awesome. I hereby name thee all, honorary Evel Minions! Now let us all go enjoy a round of eggnog, spiked of course, and a fistful of candy canes, just because they taste good when you crunch them. lol

Premade Covers at a great price
Not long ago, I used a great service called SelfPubBookCovers.com. I had just revised an old story of mine and wanted to give it a fresh new look but didn’t want to wait the usual 6-8 weeks for a cover so I decided to try something new. Browsing through hundreds of premade covers, I found one that screamed perfect. With ease, I added my name and title to it, tweaked it to make it pop and after paying a reasonable fee, I had a premade/partially customized cover. (see below). Having gotten compliments on it, I thought I’d post the link and banner to the site where I got it from and also give you a little info on them.
About SelfPubBookCovers.com
