Meet the Guys featured in A Lion’s Pride series.
A throat cleared. “Earth to Arik. Come in, boss.”
With brows drawn, Arik glared at his beta. “What?”
“I was asking what had your boxers in a knot.”
“You know I go commando.”
“Usually, but something obviously has your panties in a twist. Spill.”
Oh, he spilled all right. Arik yanked off the hat and flung it against the wall and then swiveled his chair to get it over with.
Indrawn breath. A snicker. A full-on guffaw.
Arik swirled again and tossed deadly visual daggers at his second. “I fail to see the humor in my butchered mane.”
“Dude. Have you seen it? It is bad. What did you do to piss Dominic off? Seduce one of his daughters?”
“Actually one of his granddaughters did this to me!” He couldn’t help the incredulous note. The effrontery of the act still got to him.
A thump and a shake of the wall as Hayder hit it, his shoulders shaking with laughter. “A girl did that to you?” His beta convulsed with mirth, not at all daunted by Arik’s glower and tapping fingers.
“This is not amusing.”
“Oh, come on, dude. Of all the people to have a hair mishap, you are the worst.”
“I look like an idiot.”
“Only because you didn’t let her finish hacking the rest off.”
His fingers froze as he took his gaze off the screen for a moment to address the travesty. “Cut off my mane?” Was his beta delusional?
“Well, yeah. You know, to even it out so it doesn’t show.”
A growl rumbled forth, more beast than man, his lion not at all on board with any more trimming.
“Okay, if you’re not keen on that, then what about a hair weave? Maybe we could get you a platinum one, or pink for contrast since you’re being such a prissy princess about it.”
That did it. A lion could take only so much. Arik dove over his desk and tackled his beta. Over they went with a thump and a tangle of limbs.
As he was slamming Hayder’s head off the floor, snarling, “Take it back!” to his beta’s chortled, “We’ll get your nails done while they’re weaving,” Leo strode in.
A giant of a man, he didn’t even have to strain as he grabbed them each by a shoulder and yanked them apart. But he didn’t stop there. He slammed their heads together before shoving them down.
Arik and Hayder sat on the carpeted floor, nursing robin’s eggs, united in their glare for the pride’s omega, also known as the peacemaker. Of course, Leo’s version of peace wasn’t always gentle, which was why he was perfect for the pride.

Nexi Jones has lost her family, she’s been stripped of her guardian duties, and she’s still learning the ins and outs of white magic. At least she has Kyden, the smoldering hot elite guardian who’s been there for her every step of the way. Ready or not, she and Kyden trek into the Earthworld to hunt down a killer—and Nexi alone will be put to the ultimate test.
Although Kyden knows that Nexi must fight her own battles, his guardian instincts are raging as he struggles to keep her close. The ruthlessness of these vampires is like nothing he’s ever seen. And at their helm is the Black Witch Astoria, a demon with one burning desire: to shed Nexi’s blood in the name of vengeance. Meet my BIG Bear Reid, alpha hero in Kodiak’s Claim
A vanilla scent tickled his nose, a womanly smell that perked his inner bear’s interest. It gave a happy rumble, but Reid didn’t pay him much mind, given he also made the same sound when his grandmother made her famous pot roast with thick, pan gravy. Still … he’d never had his bear think a human smelled delicious before. No eating people. The first rule a shifter learned, right after don’t lick the electrical outlet.
I love a big furry hero. I hope you do too.

A Witchy Throwback – Broomstick Breakdown

Genre: Paranormal/Shifter/Witch Romance
Fate works in mysterious ways.
Sophia is on her way to her first Halloween gathering for witches when her broomstick breaks down. Luckily, she lands at a garage where a hunky mechanic, after a spell of persuasion, agrees to act as chauffeur.
Aidan is more than just a sexy driver though. As a wolf shapeshifter, magic doesn’t affect him, but he’s not immune to the powerful draw of his true mate. Mating should be simple, but he didn’t count on a stubborn witch making abduction his only option.
With the factions they belong to discouraging mixed species mating, will they find love like fate intended?
Excerpt: (18+)
The magic powering her broom coughed and sputtered. Sophia held on tight as she lost altitude and weaved drunkenly through the night sky.“You’ve got to be freaking kidding me,” she muttered aloud. Apparently spelling a broom while frazzled and rushed had unwanted side effects: like becoming intimately acquainted with the ground. Oops. She fought with the roughening antics of her broom, the wooden handle jerking between her hands.
Cursing her bad luck in language not fit for human ears, she spotted the lights of a gas station easily visible in the dark and aimed herself at it for an emergency landing. She also prayed to the dark lord—“No road rash. No road rash.” She’d taken weeks to heal the raw patches the last time she’d crashed her broom. A natural broom flyer she was not, and she’d put in a request for the rare and popular Ali Baba book of spells. Somehow carpet flying sounded a lot safer than the traditional witchy method of travel.
The ground came up to meet her and with one last quick prayer, she used her feet to slow her momentum, stumbling several feet before she came to a halt on the pavement. I didn’t crash. Yay! Sophia swung off her broom and glared at it, the problem easily evident. Most of the bristles had fallen out along with the magic that imbued them with flight.
Shoot. Now how am I supposed to get to the All Hallows Eve Convention on time? She was still staring at her only means of transportation in consternation when a man came out of the garage into the pool of light surrounding the gas pumps where she’d landed. He rubbed his hands on a rag, and the corded muscles of his arms gleamed with sweat even though the air was somewhat cool.
Any other time, she would have taken the time to admire the way the fabric of his black T-shirt stretched across an impossibly wide chest and clearly delineated a mountainous amount of muscle. If her concern over being late had not overshadowed all thought, she would have also noticed the way his well-worn jeans clung snugly to his groin and thickly muscled thighs. Oh, who was she kidding, even in the midst of a calamity, she couldn’t help but notice how hot the mechanic was with his tanned skin, ruffled dark hair, and strutting walk. Any other time, she would have enjoyed playing the damsel in distress, a routine that involved the shedding of clothes and inhibitions, but she had an appointment to keep, and while lateness ran in her blood, the senior witches of her coven frowned—with rather unpleasant results—on junior witches who couldn’t show up on time.
Most people under the glare of fluorescent lights looked sickly; not this babe, though. Vivid green eyes peered at her from under dark brows, and the hunky stranger’s full lips twitched as he gave her the once-over, a look that made her nipples tighten in response and moisture soften her cleft.
Clearing her throat and blushing under his frank perusal, she drew her plump self up, all of her five-foot two inches, and in a voice that emerged squeakier than intended said “Um, hi there.” Although she might be witch of questionable morals, a witty conversationalist she was not.
Brilliant white teeth gleamed as he grinned at her, a deep dimple forming in his left cheek that sent her awakening libido into full sexual crush mode and dampened her panties even further. Damn, pity I can’t bottle him because I’d make a fortune—after I’d enjoyed him first of course. Her dirty thoughts made her blush even deeper, and she thanked heaven he couldn’t read her mind even if her body seemed unable to stop betraying her.
“Hello.” His deep voice rumbled pleasantly, and Sophia fought an urge to shiver—and throw herself at him begging him to whisper naughty nothings with his sexy voice. She didn’t understand her body’s out-of-proportion reaction to this stud. Sure, he was hotter than molten lava, but since when did her hormones drool and scream at her to maul a stranger on sight? She usually required a drink and dinner first at the very least.
She ignored how her body tingled and vibrated and got straight to the point. “Do you have a broom I could borrow by any chance?”
He cocked an eyebrow at her, and one corner of his mouth turned up in a lopsided grin. “A broom? Feeling a sudden urge to clean?”
Sophia blushed again then remembered who she was. A witch, a junior one maybe, but a witch nevertheless, so he, a mere human, shouldn’t mock her. She straightened her spine and tried to adopt a chilly tone and face, not an easy task with her rounded cheeks and full lips. “Yes, I need a broom, if you please.”
With a look that said ‘Whatever you say, crazy lady,’ he went back into the open garage bay, and she found herself watching the hypnotic and enticing view of his ass in tight jeans as he strode out of sight. Sigh. He really was a nice male specimen. Maybe she’d make a detour on the way back.
A few moments later, he brought out a monstrosity of a broom, its wooden handle and wide brush head covered in grease and dirt. He held it out to her, and Sophia wrinkled her nose, not making a move to touch the filthy thing. “You know the purpose of a broom for most people is to clean, not create a bigger mess.”
“This is a garage. We don’t care if it’s clean; we just use it push the crap out of the way.” His tone and expression held a note of impatience, a feeling she found imbuing her as well.
“Well I can’t use that, that thing. Dammit, are there any stores around here that sell clean brooms?”
“Sure,” he drawled. “ ’Course they’re all closed at this hour.”
Frustration almost made steam pour from her ears, and it must have shown in her face, for he dropped his mocking attitude. “Listen, I don’t quite understand why you need a broom at this hour of night, but surely it can wait for morning. Now, why don’t you tell me where you left your car and I’ll walk you back to it.”
“I don’t have a car. Why the hell do you think I needed a broom?” she grumbled only when she realized that his face had creased in confusion because what she had said made no sense. To a human anyway.

Just released! Avion, the stunning conclusion to the cyborg series.

Being a cyborg was so much better when all his parts worked. Avion’s nanotechnology stopped functioning after some experimentation done on him by the military. They broke him and now, Avion is no better than a human, even more annoying, he’s dying.
But at least he completed his final mission. He saved, One.
Mysterious and alluring, Avion isn’t the only person who wonders what surprises this woman hides. The human military and their alien allies fear what she’s capable of and will stop at nothing to destroy her. However, the one thing they didn’t take into account is that the cyborgs always protect their own, and they aren’t afraid to use deadly force.
And no one could imagine the depths One will stoop to in order to protect the man she loves.
The Cyborgs: More Than Machines books can be read as stand alone stories, however, for total reader enjoyment it is recommended you read them in order.

Excerpt:
“You need another name. We can’t keep calling you One.”
“Why not? Does someone else bear the name causing possible identity confusion?”
“No.”
“Then what is the issue?”
She asked so seriously. Did she not see the problem? “It’s not your true name. It’s the name they gave you when they took your rights away. When they relegated you to only a unit digit. Someone without a face or feelings. A numerical designation is what they call a slave.”
“Then my name is apt.” So quietly said, and yet no mistaking it.
Her timid acceptance angered him. “You’re not a prisoner anymore. You don’t have to listen to the military or the doctors. You can make your own decisions now.”
“The question is, should I? Perhaps they know best. I have shown myself to be imperfect. My powers are ungovernable.”
“I don’t believe that.” More like the military didn’t know how to control her and thus gain access to her powers. “I think you’re more in charge than you realize.” You belong to yourself.
Her panic hammered him.
I make bad choices. I hurt things. Kill. Bad. Bad. Bad.
We all do things, vixen. Things we’re not proud of. Things so we can survive. He would know. He’d done things he wasn’t proud of, but would do again.
The tension in her proved visible in the tight way she gripped his hand. Almost tight enough to crush. We will change the subject. I do not wish to dissect this aspect of my history.
“Fine. We won’t talk about you, but we are going to do something about your name. I, for one, refuse to call you by a digit.”
“Ditto,” said Seth.
“So that’s two of us already outvoting your insistence on keeping it.”
“I thought I was free to make my own choices. Perhaps I shall choose to keep it.”
So pertly said, Avion couldn’t help but grin. “I wouldn’t recommend it. I can almost guarantee if you don’t choose something better then you could end up with something awful to match your stubborn nature, like donkey-girl-arina.”
“That has too many syllables for casual pronunciation. I don’t think you’ll use it.”
How confident she sounded. He couldn’t help but chuckle. “Touché, vixen.”
“Why do you keep calling me that? I am not related at all to the Canidae family.”
“No, but you are sleek. Tricky. And I’m going to wager foxy too.”
“Ah, Avion, you made the poor girl blush,” Seth said in an ah-isn’t-that-cute voice.
“Do not mock me,” she warned quietly.
Avion squeezed her hand. “Calm down, vixen. Seth’s just teasing. It’s what he does. Trust me when I say we’ve all battled the urge to throttle him.”
“I’d rip out his tongue,” she advised.
“Good plan. But we can’t act on it. For one, his wife is the deadliest woman I know, after you of course,” he said with a laugh, stroking the back of her hand.
“Is there another reason why I cannot twist his head until it pops off? I did that with a doll many years ago, and the doctors found it so interesting. I can only imagine their reaction if I did it to a living thing.”
“I really hope you’re joking,” Seth mumbled.
“You got my jest!” She seemed so pleased. Meanwhile, Seth sighed in relief, and even Avion felt some tension loosening.
His lady had some rough edges when it came to interacting with others.
“The other reason we can’t sit on Seth and shave his head, turning him into a comatose idiot until it grows back, is because he’s an excellent ally, and we don’t kill our allies.”
“No matter how annoying?” she groused.
“Even if he’s insufferable.”
“Feeling the love over here,” was Seth’s dry reply. “You should be nicer to me, Avion. I’m the one with the morphine that will turn that frown upside down.”
Drugs for the pain, which, while held somewhat at bay by his interaction with his vixen, still throbbed at the periphery of his senses.
The feathery touch of her hand trailed across his brow.
“Why do you insist on lying here?” Her tone seemed genuinely puzzled. My bio sensors say you are not repairing the damage to your tissues.
Could she not feel his lack, the dead bots floating like flotsam in his vessels? “I am dying.”
“Dying from what? Your wounds are not so grievous. They should heal. Although”—she palpated the area, and he bit his inner cheek lest he scream in a very unmanly fashion—“there is no reconstruction happening. Why are your nanotechs not repairing?”
“My nanos are dead.”
He didn’t see it, but he could hear the sucked-in breath of her shock. “Impossible.”
“Apparently not. The human scientists found a way to shut mine off, and without them…” He trailed off. No need to state the obvious.
Soft, yet deft hands palpated him more thoroughly. Was it wrong that in spite of his injuries he felt a thrill at her touch?
“How did they shut them off? I’ve never heard of this achievement.”
“No idea. They detained me months ago in a top-secret facility buried in an asteroid. The military and their science minions did so many things to me while I was their guest.” Most of those things unpleasant. “One of their experiments resulted in what you see. A cure for cyborgism.”
“It is not a cure. Your systems are failing. You should reboot.”
“I can’t. Without active nanos, nothing mechanical works.”
“So we must reanimate the dead bots. You need fresh blood with active nanotech.”
Avion shook his head. “It’s been tried. The bots die as soon as they leave our body and stay that way even if reintroduced to a body with the technology.”
“That is because they are not the original. Copies cannot create.” Imperiously said.
