Jonathan Demme to Write and Direct 11/22/63 Film Adaptation

Oscar-winning filmmaker Jonathan Demme has optioned the rights to bring the highly anticipated 11/22/63 to the silver screen. With credits that include Jacob's Ladder, Silence of the Lambs, Philadelphia and Fatal Attraction, Jonathan brings an impressive track record to the table as one of Hollywood's brightest and most creative forces.

Turner Classic Movies Presents

As part of its "Night at the Movies" series, Turner Classic Movies will air a new documentary featuring Stephen discussing films that have influenced his creativity the most. Titled "The Horrors of Stephen King," the DreamWorks Television production will premier on October 3rd at 8pm. Topics will include everything from the staple vampire and zombie films of yesteryear to progressive stories of horror, demons and ghosts.



Films to be discussed will include Freaks, Cat People, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Night of the Living Dead, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Jaws, Halloween and The Changeling to name a few.

Fall for the Book Festival

Tickets for Stephen's appearance and book signing at the Fall for the Book Festival at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA on September 23, 2011, will be available on-line on August 15th. You must have a ticket to attend this event. Tickets can be reserved for free through the Center for the Arts Ticket Office beginning at 9 a.m. EST on Monday, August 15. Limit two tickets per request.

Bag of Bones Coming to A&E

Sony Pictures Television and A&E will be airing a four hour mini-series based on Bag of Bones later this year. Filming of the series is set to begin early next month in Nova Scotia and will feature Pierce Brosnan in the lead role with Annabeth Gish supporting. Mick Garris will direct the production from a screenplay written by Matt Venne.
