Universal Pictures Officially Passes on Dark Tower Series - Ron Howard and Imagine Still Committed

After months of rumors and speculation regarding the fate of the Dark Tower Movies and Television Mini-Series, Universal Pictures has officially backed out of the production. An email sent from Stephen to Entertainment Weekly explains the current state of the production.

IT 25th Anniversary Special Edition From Cemetery Dance

Cemetery Dance Publishing has announced they will be releasing a 25th Anniversary Special Edition of IT this autumn. With a new afterward from Stephen and dozens of new illustrations, the constant reader is invited back to Derry to experience one of Stephen's best in whole new way.

Jae Lee to Illustrate The Wind Through the Keyhole

Jae Lee has signed on to illustrate Stephen's next Dark Tower book, The Wind Through the Keyhole, which will be published as a limited edition by Donald M. Grant Publisher. Version III of StephenKing.com Goes Live

Earlier today, StephenKing.com proudly unveiled the latest version of the official web site. The comprehensive upgrade offers many new features including full compatibility with Apple devices and most mobile platforms.

The old site is still available here, but the content will no longer be updated.

Under the Weather

Stephen's new short story, "Under the Weather" (written just in the past month or two) will be included in the U.S. paperback edition and as a new e-book edition of Full Dark, No Stars which will be released on May 24, 2011. It will be in Hodder's ebook edition releasing on May 24th and their mass-market edition which will be released at the end of July.

The short story Herman Wouk is Still Alive is now available to subscribers of the TheAtlantic.com. The issue containing this short story hits newsstands April 19th.
