It'll be interesting to see how the story translates.

This was not one of my absolute favorite King outings, but...I'll give the mini-series it's day in court.
There is no way I'm letting an ex-Bond become the face of this story in my head. LOVED this book and will avoid the movie like the plague. Sorry Mr. King.
This was one of my favorite books. I'm excited to see it put on film. When I was a kid I used to always watch Stephen King movies with my father and now that I have a son of my own I enjoy watching them with him.

Stephen - interesting how people can love you or question you, or make you the King that you are - etc. but such is life and you write through life in a way one must understand, perhaps they should read your book on "Stephen Kind,On Writing," It opens many doors into the creative person you are, on with discrepancy and contrast, memory and connections. Not Pierce Brosnan!!! In my opinion, Bag of Bones is the great King novel of the past 25 years and they go with Pierce Brosnan as Mike! Also Melissa George as Mattie!! If that's the way they want to play it they should cast every role with actors 15-20 years too old for their roles. They could dig up Jimmy Stewart to play Max; he'd be about 105 now!!
for me, Stephen King himself is the Mike Noonan (since I listened to him read it on CD). I might have to watch this out of curiosity though since I love Bag of Bones.
I sometimes wonder if the only reason Mike didn't get it on with Mattie was because of political correctness. You know, cuz old men aren't supposed to be attracted to hot, young girls, that's considered cradle-robbing - it's looked upon as evil and disgusting and perverted.
Not one of my favorites. However, Mike was also write when he mused that when a woman says "Do whatever you want", you can't take it at face value. She basically is saying, "Do what IIIIIII want in whatever WAY you want."
Was a real eye-opener. And a downer.
I am going to give this the benefit of the doubt. After watching Brosnan in Matador I have a new appreciation for him, I just hope they get the feel right.
This is one of my favorites of his books!! So many people I run into haven't read it and then they love it.I hope A&E does a good job with it!
