TiZA, an Islamic Public School, Threatens and Intimidates Witnesses in ACLU Lawsuit

The latest outrage in a textbook case of Islamic supremacism in a taxpayer funded Islamic school is the thug-like Muslim iintimidation and bullying of anyone that challenges this publicly funded madrassah. I have been covering this school since early 2008.

This is a "teachable moment" for the ACLU who has refrained from tackling issues of separation of mosque and state despite its war on Christianity and the separation of church and state. TiZA is an egregious violation of mosque and state which is why the ACLU is suing the school. Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy (TIZA) is a K-8 charter school in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. Charter schools are public schools, and by law must not endorse or promote religion. But TIZA is an Islamic school, funded by Minnesota taxpayers.

TiZA shares the headquarters building of the Muslim American Society of Minnesota, whose mission is "establishing Islam in Minnesota." The building also houses a mosque. TIZA's executive director, Asad Zaman, is a Muslim imam, or religious leader, and its sponsor is an organization called Islamic Relief.

Students pray daily, the cafeteria serves halal food - permissible under Islamic law -- and "Islamic Studies" is offered at the end of the school day.

Here is what one teacher's at TiZA said, "teachers led the kids into the gym, where a man dressed in white with a white cap, who had been at the school all day," was preparing to lead prayer. Beside him, another man "was prostrating himself in prayer on a carpet as the students entered." "The prayer I saw was not voluntary," Getz said. "The kids were corralled by adults and required to go to the assembly where prayer occurred."

The school -- public, mind you -- tries to intimidate all who would challenge it.

In June 2010, the ACLU returned to court to quash what it described as yet another TiZA attempt to intimidate current and former employees from speaking about what they had seen at the public school. TiZA's "Staff Handbooks include a secrecy clause, and related threat of legal action for violating it," according to the ACLU's court filings. TiZA "wields [these provisions] as a sledgehammer to keep former employees quiet about what they saw at the school." As a result, "former TiZA employees have expressed fear about speaking to the ACLU."

According to the ACLU, TiZA's refusal to agree not to enforce the secrecy clause "sends the ominous signal that current and former employees who talk to the ACLU may be forced to defend themselves against a baseless, expensive lawsuit."

On Oct. 1, Judge Donovan Frank agreed -- affirming an order the ACLU had earlier won barring TiZA from enforcing the confidentiality clause in the context of this litigation.

The court's order and memorandum spoke volumes: "It appears that information related to TiZA's business, finances, operations and office procedures is public data and cannot be kept secret." "The relevant question ... is why TiZA, a public charter school, does not want to allow its former and current employees to participate in the informal discovery process to ascertain the truth about how TiZA operates."

The court's strong language in response to TiZA's actions was unusual: "[I]ntimidation and threats will not sit well with a fact-finder such as a jury." As a result of the school's actions, "[T]he Court may be required to draw adverse inferences about how TiZA operates as a result of TiZA's efforts to keep information about its operations secret. ... [TiZA's] behavior during the discovery process thus far ... has not been consistent with a good faith search for the truth."

The ACLU has characterized TiZA's recent actions regarding the secrecy clause as "only the last in a long line of intimidation efforts." Not quite. Last month, an attack was launched from a different front.

Several organizations that are not even parties to the lawsuit went to court in an attempt to disqualify the ACLU's lawyers -- Dorsey & Whitney -- from representing the ACLU on grounds that Dorsey personnel had previously communicated with Zaman about entities involved in the litigation. The organizations include the Muslim American Society of Minnesota (MAS-MN), MAS-MN Property Holding Corporation and the Minnesota Education Trust (MET).

"The ACLU believes Mr. Zaman's testimony relating to control of virtually every significant event at TiZA, MAS-MN, MET and MET's subsidiaries, coupled with his efforts to hide such control, constitute powerful evidence against TiZA's denials that it is a Muslim school and that it funnels state and federal money to other Muslim organizations."

Every time we read about this lawsuit, we have to pinch ourselves and say: We're talking about a public, taxpayer-funded school.

Saturday Night Cinema: Here Was Germany

Here is Germany (1945) was made to prepare soldiers who had not seen combat to go to Germany for the US occupation after the May 8, 1945 unconditional surrender. The film was, however, never used for its intended purpose.

Here is Germany was a 1945 documentary film directed by Frank Capra. Like its companion film, Know Your Enemy: Japan, the film is a full-length exploration of why one of the two major Axis countries started World War II and what had to be done to keep them from "doing it again."

Money quote at 6:10.

It is hard to imagine that this was our once proud culture,  producing  this and so much material like it, at least not in the context of  the current low state of the world. Saturday Night Cinema: The File On Thelma Jordan (1950)

Music swells ............... The File on Thelma Jordon (1949) starring  Barbara Stanwyck, Wendell Corey, Paul Kelly, Joan Tetzel, Stanley Ridges.

No one is as good as Stanwyck when she's bad.

Time Out film guide notes, "A fine film noir which works an ingenious, intricate variation on the situation in Double Indemnity, but which takes its tone, unlike Wilder's film, not from Stanwyck's glittering siren who courts her own comeuppance ("Judgement day, Jordon!"), but from the nondescript assistant DA she drives to the brink of destruction."[3]

The New York Times, in a 1950 review, praised the film's cast and noted "Thelma Jordon is, for all of its production polish, adult dialogue and intelligent acting, a strangely halting and sometimes confusing work."[4]

Here Stanwyck plays Thelma Jordon, a woman who late one night shows up in the office of happily married Assistant DA Cleve Marshall (Wendell Corey) to seek help in solving the string of robberies at her wealthy aunt's estate. Before Cleve can stop himself, he and Thelma are involved in an illicit affair. But Thelma is a mysterious woman, and Cleve can't help wondering if she is hiding something. His suspicions are confirmed when Thelma confesses to him that she is married to Tony Laredo, though she swears that she never wants to see him again. When Thelma's aunt is found murdered, Cleve's suspicions are aroused once again, but he is too love-struck to keep himself from being drawn into the complicated series of events that ultimately lead to his ruination. Siodmak directs with his usual skill and polish, but the film really belongs to Barbara Stanwyck who is magnificent as Thelma. Unlike the usual cold, passionless femme fatale of film noir, Thelma has a heart and a conscience. She comes to love Cleve, and has concern for his life and his future. However, despite her wish that her life could be different, she realizes that she belongs in Tony's world, and despite her attempts to sacrifice herself to save Cleve, he is doomed, by his love for her and by his own weaknesses. They said there would be 100,000 Muslims on the Hill. There were, in fact, a couple of hundred, according to CNN, which generally inflates those numbers (and deflates ours). Perhaps Imam Anjem Choudary on Christiane Amanpour's panel vowing that the flag of Islam would fly over the White House gave them pause and they thought perhaps this is not a good photo op at this time.

Hundreds of Muslims turned out Friday for a new annual event in Washington called Islam on Capitol Hill, the event's organizer said Saturday.

The event saw hundreds of Muslim children touring the halls of Congress, hours of prayers and speeches on the Capitol lawn, and a banquet at a hotel off the National Mall.

"It's important for young Muslims to understand the beauty of this country - that this is a land of freedom, even though there may be people objecting to building a mosque in New York or threatening to burn the Quran," said Abdul Malik, the event's organizer.

Imam Abdul Malik, formerly of CAIR-New York, is the New York City Metro Transit Authority Chaplain, and is called by Islam On-Line "the permanent khatib [speaker] at the United Nations Masjid [Muslim place of worship] in New York." In a letter addressed to the White House, Marty Elsant, the co-founder of the Virtual Israel Political Action Committee (VIPAC), stated that, in an October 17, 2002 speech given to a student organization at the City College of New York entitled "Women in Islam," Malik had "defended terrorist-murder in Israel." link

Germany Going Islam: the approach to a multicultural [society] ...."has failed, utterly failed"

So this is how it is presented to the people, as a fait accompli. How grotesque.

Last month, "Chancellor Angela Merkel said that Germans have failed to grasp how Muslim immigration has transformed their country and will have to come to terms with more mosques than churches throughout the countryside, according to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung daily." 

"Our country is going to carry on changing, and integration is also a task for the society taking up the task of dealing with immigrants," Ms. Merkel told the daily newspaper. "For years we've been deceiving ourselves about this. Mosques, for example, are going to be a more prominent part of our cities than they were before."

Germany, with a population of 4-5 million Muslims, has been divided in recent weeks by a debate over remarks by the Bundesbank's Thilo Sarrazin, who argued Turkish and Arab immigrants were failing to integrate and were swamping Germany with a higher birth rate.

The Chancellor's remarks represent the first official acknowledgement that Germany, like other European countries, is destined to become a stronghold of Islam. She has admitted that the country will soon become a stronghold.

And yet Merkel concedes that German multicultural society has failed. In a speech in Potsdam, she said the so-called "multikulti" concept - where people would "live side-by-side" happily - did not work.

"And of course, the approach [to build] a multicultural [society] and to live side-by-side and to enjoy each other... has failed, utterly failed."

It is in the context of these remarks that the brutal reality of what that means becomes painfully clear. German students and teachers are being bullied and beaten by Muslim gangs in Germany. The videos and the reports made by teachers describe a complete breakdown of  society (scroll and and watch the deeply disturbing videos below). And yet today it is announced that German universities will train Muslim imams, teachers

And add this to this potent cocktail -- over at the Weekly Standard writes:

While German Chancellor Angela Merkel has not mobilized her electoral base around hatred of the U.S.—like her predecessor Gerhard Schröder—she also does not have the required fire in her belly to confront radical Islam. The running list of media reports detailing Germany as a kind of oasis for jihadist activities is the story behind the latest expression of Germany's dismissal of radical Islamic attacks. Washington Post columnist Jackson Diehl posed this sharp question: "Have Germany's security services learned nothing in the last decade?" He answered his question by saying they had become "dangerously complacent."

Hezbollah remains a legal entity in Germany and its 900 members are active in promoting Iran's revolutionary Islam.  If Germany is to be taken seriously on the world stage, it must dissolve Hezbollah's operation and aggressively shut down mosques that promote revolutionary Islamic terror. In short, the phase of monitoring has to be complemented by cracking the German security whip to stop homegrown radical Islam.

"It is obviously no longer an isolated incident that students and teachers are forced to hear anti-German statements." It is intolerable that German students and teachers are treated this way in their own country.

 

Islam in Europe Often they're ridiculed, often they're even beaten. In class barely anybody speaks to them, they keep back, rarely voice their opinion – in short, they're not integrated in school. But these are not Muslim immigrant children in a German school, but German children in a secondary school (5th-9th grades) in Essen where 70% of the children are Muslims.

"They're not threatened with a knife every day. but the children of Muslim immigrants clearly have their way here," says the school principal. The female teachers have to deal with students saying "don't speak to her, she's just a German slut."

"When it's Ramadan, there's a state of emergency. The last time it went so far, that they spit in our food," says the home-economics teacher. "People always say that foreigners are discriminated, but here it's precisely the other way around." A Lebanese Arabic teacher says that the German way of living is very clearly being rejected by his students, the attitude is almost chic.

 

 

The German children respond with aggression or by over-adapting their behavior. In the playground you find them in the corners. Sebastian, an ethnic German 16 year old, feels bullied by the Muslim students, and is often involved in fights. Juli is a friend of the devout Saleh from Palestine. She calls herself a Muslim, which means: no parties, no alcohol, no sex.

The teachers try to respond t the situation with clarity and by upholding German laws and regulations, but also by mother-tongue classes and understanding for the Lebanese.

 

 

Islam in Europe Two teachers from a Kreuzberg (Berlin) school recently wrote in the GEW Teachers' Union paper of the anti-German harassment some German students experience in schools. They wrote that German students are threatened and bullied, and that the non-German students often receive help from relatives or friends in conflicts.

Berlin youth coach Oliver Lück says such incidents happen every day.

• Dennis (14) from Reinickendorf was pushed around and beaten. They (Muslims) could do whatever they wanted with him, and he had to pay protection money to the older foreign students. In the end, he couldn't take it anymore and thought of suicide. Finally, his parents helped him.

• Lena (15) from Schöneberg – a confident teen, she died her head red and wore black clothes. When she came to the school, she was a foreigner among the other girls, who wore a headscarf. The girls whispered about her, they laughed at her and caller her the 'fire alarm'. Lena began to smoke, and later started up with alcohol and harder drugs.

• Kevin (16) from Neukölln – There were hardly any Germans in his school. The Arab guys provoked him, first with insults, then tripped him and pushed him. At some point, he fought back, and found himself facing twelve boys, relatives of the attackers, who beat him up. From that point on he started dressing like his tormentors and imitating their language. He wasn't beaten up anymore, but had to run errands for the others.

• Domitian E. was harassed because I speak German," says Domitian. "Altogether we were 29 students in the class, and besides me there was only one other German student," he says. "The rest were mainly Arabs and Turks."

 

 

From the first few days he was discriminated against, harassed and insulted. They cursed him behind his back since he came from a 'smart' school, and that his classmates often accosted him in groups, asking him why he didn't speak like they did. His classmates spoke "Kanake German" (German with a foreign accent and foreign terms). Domitian says he didn't want to speak that way. He avoid the other students and tried not to respond to them. Eventually, he avoided school and became increasingly sick.

 

Muslim Strangles, Attacks Disney World Bus Driver; Throws his baby at the Bus Driver -- Driver Suspended UPDATE: Unconfirmed, Driver back on Job (SCROLL)

.Listening to the people filming, because they are reliable witnesses. Imagine if there were no video: CAIR, ISNA, ICNA and the rest of the Muslim Brotherhood gang would be shutting Disney down.

Even the notoriously dhimmi Orlando Sentinel (who can forget the ravaging of Rifqa Bary?) is reporting the attack as unprovoked.

A Walt Disney World Resort bus driver has been placed on paid leave after a physical confrontation between the driver and a guest that was captured on video and uploaded to YouTube.com.

In the video, which the YouTube poster says was shot at Disney's Hollywood Studios, a person shoves and chokes the driver of the bus in what appears to be an unprovoked attack.

According to the video description, the would-be passenger in the video was upset when the driver told him that he and his family would have to wait for another bus to take them to Epcot.

The description says the video starts in the middle of the incident, missing "the most intense part of this fight."

From the video description: "A man and his wife with her baby were waiting for the bus. There wasn't enough room on the bus so the bus driver told them he would call another one. The man was enraged and threw the baby at the bus driver. The woman got her baby and moved back away from them."

The wife is in the hijab. Life can't be easy for thta woman. Maybe Diane Sawyer will do a piece on how wonderful life is living with a brute.

That's when the unknown cameraman started recording, the description says, capturing a brief flurry of shoving, and the passenger putting his hands around the bus driver's throat.

In the video, screams can be heard from the crowded area when the confrontation escalates. Several people in the area call for security.

After the two men are separated, the would-be passenger tells a security officer that the bus driver was blocking him and his wife from getting on.

"He see me, I was waiting here … and he tried to block me" the man says in the video. "He let everyone passing through get in first before us."

As the bus driver begins to tell his side of the story, the man interrupts. "We have a baby, you know," he says. "We're supposed to get the priorities."

A Disney spokeswoman said the bus driver had been placed on paid leave while the company reviews the incident.

UPDATE: This was posted on the Walt Disney Forum. I have not confirmed. If any Atlas readers can substantiate or verify, I would be much obliged.

I work for bus operations and the entire incident was caught on the security cameras.Every load zone has a high def camera that sees the bus and load zone. We can actually zoom in with the cameras and read the drivers name and his hometown on his name tag on their uniform. Also in the video one of the gentleman on the bus,{I wont identify him} was one of our plain clothes security officers and was in the load zone at the time and witnessed the attack. Security was called along with the OCSO,and yes it took them a few minutes to get to him. This was because the bus was in load zone C7 which is in the charter bus lot and away from the regular Resort load zones near the entrance to Hollywood Studios. If you watch the video closely you will see flashing red and blue lights illuminating the side off the bus.When the wife saw them pull up the wife took off,and tried to hide in the crowd,and left her child with the husband. Other guests identified her to security. They were then removed from the bus and load zone and taken backstage. The gentleman was then arrested and handcuffed for assault on the driver. He is also facing charges for Terrorist threat due to the assault happening on the bus, and public endangerment. They were also ejected from the resort they were staying at,and trespassed from Walt Disney World property.They will not be returning to the Happiest Place on Earth ever again. Also everyone will be happy to hear the driver was not reprimanded for the incident,and continued with his job that evening. I actually saw and talked to him last night and he is doing fine.
Also forgot to add copy of the security tape was provided to the OCSO,they are in turn forwarding it to the state attorney for possible further charges of Felony child neglect and endangerment.

As for the terrorism charge, the poster respomded to others on the forum asking why a terrorism charge. He  explained in a subsequent post:  

Our buses are Federal DOT Regulated just like Airplanes and Trains. It carries the same charge as if you attacked a flight crew on an airplane in flight!!! It may not stick but he was still charged with it.

Security was called along with the OCSO,and yes it took them a few minutes to get to him. This was because the bus was in load zone C7 which is in the charter bus lot and away from the regular Resort load zones near the entrance to Hollywood Studios. If you watch the video closely you will see flashing red and blue lights illuminating the side off the bus.When the wife saw them pull up the wife took off,and tried to hide in the crowd,and left her child with the husband. Other guests identified her to security. They were then removed from the bus and load zone and taken backstage. The gentleman was then arrested and handcuffed for assault on the driver. He is also facing charges for Terrorist threat due to the assault happening on the bus, and public endangerment. They were also ejected from the resort they were staying at,and trespassed from Walt Disney World property.They will not be returning to the Happiest Place on Earth ever again. Also everyone will be happy to hear the driver was not reprimanded for the incident,and continued with his job that evening. I actually saw and talked to him last night and he is doing fine.
Also forgot to add copy of the security tape was provided to the OCSO,they are in turn forwarding it to the state attorney for possible further charges of Felony child neglect and endangerment.

As for the terrorism charge, the poster respomded to others on the forum asking why a terrorism charge. He  explained in a subsequent post:  

Our buses are Federal DOT Regulated just like Airplanes and Trains. It carries the same charge as if you attacked a flight crew on an airplane in flight!!! It may not stick but he was still charged with it.

A Walt Disney World Resort bus driver has been placed on paid leave after a physical confrontation between the driver and a guest that was captured on video and uploaded to YouTube.com.

In the video, which the YouTube poster says was shot at Disney's Hollywood Studios, a person shoves and chokes the driver of the bus in what appears to be an unprovoked attack.

According to the video description, the would-be passenger in the video was upset when the driver told him that he and his family would have to wait for another bus to take them to Epcot.

The description says the video starts in the middle of the incident, missing "the most intense part of this fight."

From the video description: "A man and his wife with her baby were waiting for the bus. There wasn't enough room on the bus so the bus driver told them he would call another one. The man was enraged and threw the baby at the bus driver. The woman got her baby and moved back away from them."

The wife is in the hijab. Life can't be easy for thta woman. maybe Diane Sawyer will do a piece on how wonderful life is living with a brute.

That's when the unknown cameraman started recording, the description says, capturing a brief flurry of shoving, and the passenger putting his hands around the bus driver's throat.

In the video, screams can be heard from the crowded area when the confrontation escalates. Several people in the area call for security.

After the two men are separated, the would-be passenger tells a security officer that the bus driver was blocking him and his wife from getting on.

"He see me, I was waiting here … and he tried to block me" the man says in the video. "He let everyone passing through get in first before us."

As the bus driver begins to tell his side of the story, the man interrupts. "We have a baby, you know," he says. "We're supposed to get the priorities."

A Disney spokeswoman said the bus driver had been placed on paid leave while the company reviews the incident.

Recently I have been reporting on the little-noted but explosive new revelations that much of the meat in Europe is being processed as halal and sold without the halal label. This is not the exception, but the rule, and the people are being betrayed by their own elected officials. And it's happening here, too.

Yes, folks, if you're in Europe, and in many areas in America as well, the meat you are eating is probably halal, unless you're keeping kosher. In a little-known strike against freedom, yet again, we are being forced into consuming meat slaughtered by means of a barbaric, torturous and inhuman method: Islamic slaughter.

Where are the PETA clowns and the ridiculous celebs who pose naked on giant billboards for PETA and "animal rights"? They would rather see people die of cancer or AIDS than see animals used in drug testing, but torturous and painful Islamic slaughter is OK.

Many people have written to me saying that they simply won't eat halal meat, as they object to the methods used to slaughter the animal. And I agree. The Sharia term for halal slaughter is dhakat. Dhakat is to slaughter an animal by cutting the trachea, the esophagus, and the jugular vein, letting the blood drain out while saying "Bismillah allahu akbar"--in the name of Allah the greatest.

Many Christians, Hindus or Sikhs and Jews find it offensive to eat meat slaughtered according to Islamic ritual (although Jews are less likely to be exposed to such meat, because they eat kosher). The issue for many Christians is that in halal slaughter, an imam offers the animal up as a sacrifice to Allah which makes it meat sacrificed to idols.

70% of New Zealand lamb imported into the United Kingdom is halal. It is not labeled as such, so people are eating halal without even knowing it. But people there are fighting back: When halal food was imposed on public schools in the United Kingdom in 2007, parents were in an uproar. And last March, Stop Islamization of Europe (SIOE), the sister organization to my group Stop Islamization of America (SIOA), called for the cessation of mandatory consumption of halal meat on the continent.

As halal slaughter becomes more common in the U.S., the likelihood of non-Muslims who object to halal meat for whatever reason unknowingly buying it also increases....
